1 Down, 4 To Go
Last time, 4 pets, Grundoey the Grundo, _Palemoon_ the Usul, Iccorasto
the Zafara and BunnyHopCy the Cybunny found the island mystic and discovered
they must reach the human world using a magic key to find their missing
owner (98eevee). But the key was in 5 parts, throughout Neopia... now,
part 4!
The sun beat harshly against her back as Iccorasto, the female Zafara
lay on the beach. Her spikes upon her back dug into the sand beneath her.
“Where are they...?” she wondered out loud. She sat up and looked at
the tiny piece of a golden key.
“Five chosen Neopians...” she recited what the Island Mystic had told
them, “Five Neopians...chosen...each to behold one of these fragments
of key....”
He looked up at the great statue of Pop Tart that loomed over him. “The
mystic...” she said, “He has one...the only one in the island....” She
thought again, “One on the island....and one belongs to the NeoPets team,
I’m sure of that....”
Her mind throbbed, if only Damon2u was here... he could easily figure
out what it all meant...
“One in Neopia...one on the island...I wonder....” She sat up. Night
was coming in and she had better go to camp before the other pets came...
“I wonder if...if there’s one on the space station, one in Maraqua and
one in the haunted woods....”
_Palemoon_ came running across the beach. Her red mane flapped before
her. “Iccorasto! Iccorasto!” she panted with panic in her voice, “It's...
Gru-” Slap! _Palemoon_ had collapsed on her side from exhaustion.
Iccorasto looked, stunned. “Gru what?” Then it hit her in the head.
“GRUNDOEY?” She gathered herself up and ran for the camp, leaving _Palemoon_
on the beach. When she arrived on the scene, she could tell what _Palemoon_
was so worked up about. Grundoey was suspended, in mid air, completely
white (As opposed to his usual Silverness)
“Ah... wha.... ah...” Iccorasto was completely lost for words, as Grundoey
let out a sudden shriek of pain.
“I it w was h h him wh wh wh when h h h he was m m m meditating,” BunnyHopCy
made himself heard, stuttering more then usual, “H h h h h he was j just
s s s siting there a and BOOM a and then h h he was u up t there!”
“GRUNDOEY!” Iccorasto yelled, “HANG ON!”
She whipped her tail upon the ground and yelled some very magic words,
“HYRO BIRO HIRO YURUUUUUUUUUU!”
She suddenly let out a fireball from between her cupped hands and realized
Grundoey from his pain. The two pets ran over to him as he knelt on his
knees, panting.
“What was that?” asked Iccorasto.
“It was...a signal...from the station...”
“Huh?”
“The space Faerie... she’s in trouble!”
Grundoey got to his feet, gulped a big breath and headed off for the
door.
“NO!” Iccorasto blocked the way, “You're in no position to go out!”
BANG!
“Ouch!” Grundoey had magically budged Iccorasto out of the way with some
magic pebbles. As Grundoey reached the outside, the wind itself seemed
to drop. Suddenly, he rose from his feet, again suspended.
“Where are you going?” Demanded Iccorasto.
“To the station!” aaid Grundoey.
“No you're not!”
“Yes I am! And you can’t stop me!”
With that, Grundoey flew off, separated from the other pets, on the way
to the station. BunnyHopCy emerged from the house.
“What did I miss?” he asked stupidly...
After a delicious dinner (Lenny’s spicy lettuce with Kau farmer fresh
backbone meat). The two pets sat down, satisfied.
“So... w where’s P _Palemoon_?” asked BunnyHopCy.
“_Palemoon_?”
“Y yeah, y you know t t t the U Usul?” He said, looking expectedly at
Iccorasto.
“_PALEMOON_!”
Iccorasto had completely forgot about the childish Usul. And, again in
a hurry, she gathered herself up and raced to the beach. The tide was
in and the waves crashed dangerously.
“Iccorasto?” _Palemoon_’s voice could be heard.
“Where are you?”
“HELP!” Suddenly, she caught site of _Palemoon_, floating in the water.
Splashing.
“HM HM HM HM HIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
Another spell from Iccorasto made a safe bubble shield around _Palemoon_.
Iccorasto could just stand and watch, as _Palemoon_ was washed away from
view. BunnyHopCy again arrived on the scene (Late again) Iccorasto looked
over at him. Now they were the only pets together.
“Great day this has turned out to be!” she said gloomily.
