The Ultimate Battle Item

SkarIX wanted it so badly. It was the coolest, and best thing he could ever want. In his book, it was the best battle item. It was the Chain Claw. It's rough, silver claws could slice through a pet with ULTIMATE defence while doing tough skin. It has magically light weight to the possessor and magically super heavy(around 1 ton) to the enemy. Like he thought, it was the ultimate weapon. And he wanted it.

His owner was the great trainer, mkjagz, who had gotten over 40,000 NP from an overload of faeries, codestones, and map pieces recently. Still, he already had plans for that money and refused to buy SkarIX a chain claw.

So he had a plan. He knew the origin of the Chain Claw was the Brain Tree, and today he was setting off to do a quest for it. Today, he wanted a Chain Claw. Today, he wanted the ultimate battle item.

In the morning he set off for the spooky world with 2,500 NP (Which he had BEGGED his owner all night for). Right now he was heading north of the town where he could find a cab to get to the spooky world. As far as he knew, cabs usually were north of the town, which is why he was headed there. Little did he know this mistake would bring chaos to his quest for the ultimate weapon.

He was passing through the main shops when he nearly bumped into a Lupe.

"Sorry. My bad. Excuse me, I didn't see you," said the Chia.

"It's my fault too," said the Lupe.

"What's your name? Mine is Exlund."

"Mine is SkarIX."

"Nice to meet you, SkarIX. Where are you heading?"

"I'm on a quest for a chain claw. I'm gonna take a cab and go to the spooky woods, and from there the brain tree."

"I'm heading to the spooky world myself. I'm going to get some of the new Mushrooms for my owner."

"Maybe we can travel there together."

"Certainly we can," stated the Lupe.

So they arrived, north of the Main Shops and the Market place. Soon they spotted a cab, and went over to it.

"Um, excuse me, mister..." said SkarIX.

"Mr. Morrison," said the Taxi-driver.

"Um, excuse me, Mr. Morrison, we are looking for a ride to the Spooky world. Can you take us there?" asked Exlund.

"Of Course," answered Mr. Morrison simply. "That will be 155 NP."

They handed him the correct amount of Neopoints, then climbed into the cab.

"What do you plan to do in the spooky world," asked Mr. Morrison once they were on the road.

"I'm going on a Quest for a Chain Claw, and Exlund is going to shop for the Mushrooms."

"Okay. That's Great. Good luck on your journey," he said and dropped them off.

"Wow. That was quick. We're already there!" exclaimed SkarIX.

"Yeah, really!" agreed Exlund.

"Well, good luck on your quest."

"Thank you. And good luck with your shopping."

They split up, and no later than 5 minutes SkarIX managed to find the Brain Tree.

"I am the Great Brain Tree. Complete my Quest for knowledge and win your prize."

"Okay, um...what do I do?" asked SkarIX.

"Tell me when and where Johnny Techo died. You will receive your reward."

SkarIX called mkjagz on his cell phone, and told him of his progress. Mkjagz advised him to go to the Esophagor SkarIX went. When he arrived, the Esophagor sent him on a quest, and promised knowledge in return.

"Geeeeett tthhheeeeesseee iteeeeemmssss fooorr mmeee plleeaaasseee. Iii'mmm sooooooo huuungrryy."

SkarIX called mkjagz again on his cell phone, and ordered the items.

"Okay, I'll send them by Super Express mail," he said.

Sure enough, about 5 minutes later, the items arrived. He gave them to the Esophagor "Thhhaaaannnnkkss."

"Johnny Techo died in 37 BN."

"But where did he die?" asked SkarIX.

"Foooorr thhaatt, yooou mmuusstt doo annooothhherrr queesst," he repeated the process.

He learned that Johnny Techo died in Virtopia. He went and told the Brain Tree.

"Here is your reward," Suddenly, he was holding- A Chain Claw!

He decided to go back to Neopia and show it off to his friends. He went back to the place where the cab had dropped him off. Instead of Mr. Morrison, there was a evil looking person. He reminded SkarIX of Dr. Sloth. It was a quiet ride back to Neopia.

"That will be 1,000,000 NP please."

"A million NP???? But the other dude charged only 155!"

"If you don't have the NP, then I'll take that."

And with that, he took the Chain Claw away from SkarIX.

"Hey! That's mine!" SkarIX yelled.

But the stranger was already gone. He chased after him. He nearly lost him several times in the streets, but kept running. After a while he heard the sound of-sirens! It was the police! They stopped the man and arrested him. SkarIX ran up to the police.

"Is this yours, kid?" asked the policemen.

"Yes. Th-Thank you," he panted, out of breath.

"No, kid, Thank YOU. This is the Evil Villain Dr.Sloth. We've been looking for him."

And that was one of SkarIX's many adventures. He got Dr. Sloth arrested and completed his quest for the ultimate weapon. Not to add, he made a new friend.
