Okay, so you go to the Guild pages and you are hit full force by all
the great offers. Free faerie if you join here...contests every day...free
item if you join...drawing for a codestone...contests for rare items...Neopian
secrets available...Which should you choose? These are all great offers.
It's hard. What I say is...none of them! Guilds that offer things to people
may be great, but most of them just want to get famous, and therefore,
get rich. I say, stick with the good guilds. These are people that really
can't afford to give out rare items every day. Sure, they have contests,
but drawings? I mean, come on! Anyone can win those. Anyway, they can
be rigged. Just create a fake account and 'draw' that name and pretend
it's a different person. *Don't do this, I'm just telling you the dangers
of drawings!*
What points out a good guild? Contests that require skill. Or at least,
effort. Come on! This is your chance to shine. For instance, a poetry
contests about winter. Great! But how to pick who won? The leader picks?
ABSOLUTELY NO WAY! Everyone in the guild votes on it, via a poll. Also,
guilds that actually have a logo show that the leader really cares. Web
pages creates an atmosphere that makes it easier for the members to relax
and makes it easier to navigate. An updated calendar shows that the guild
members care about important days and want to celebrate them with the
guild. Messages and Photos show that the guild members care about what's
happening to their guild and they want to meet new people. Being in a
guild is a great way to meet friends. My guild, The Creative NeoPlayers,
is all about being creative. Thinking up ideas, having debates, having
contests that involve writing, poetry, graphic and html design, etc. After
all, that's what our guild is all about!
As I write this, we have nine members. We will probably get more soon.
If you want to see how many we have as you read this, go to
Creative NeoPlayers
- I wouldn't mind if you joined either! :) lol! Well, we give people the
chance to win because of an accomplishment of theirs. I mean isn't it
great to know that *YOU* were the best? That *PEOPLE* voted for you? That
you won for a *REASON*? And, not to mention, that you get a prize! But
drawings, you win or lose, it's a game of chance. You don't win anything
by winning a drawing. Sure, you win an item or Neopoints, but do you get
the same feeling as when you win a contest of skill?
Also, a tip is to join a guild that gives things away. This marks people
who care. The Creative Neo Players Guild is giving away lots and lots
of smoothies donated by caring members on December 17th at 3:00 PM EST.
:) Be there, you could grab one! But, don't be greedy! Other guilds do
this sort of thing, also. Keep a sharp watch out and you may gain yourself
a few extra items! :) So, make the right choice. Don't join the first
guild you see. Or the most popular. Choose carefully. Think. Be creative.
Thanks for reading.
