Overpriced Faeries

People in Marketplace shops overprice faeries incredibly

If you've been a user of NeoPets for more than a week, you are bound to have gone into a shop and seen one or more faeries for sale from anywhere from 1000-50000 NP. When I was a poor beginner at NeoPets, I could not afford to buy faeries.

I thought, since almost all the shops priced them this way, that this was a reasonable price. Well one day, I was goofing off in the Shop Wizard and found a relatively cheap Water Faerie. 1000 NP.

So, for the first time, I bought a faerie. I was really into preparing my pets for the Battledome. Well, I go into the pull-down menu to bless my pet, and it says, right there, plain as day: "Estimated Value: 90 NP". That's right, 90 NP. Not 20,000 NP. Not 100,000 NP. 90 NP.

My conclusion is that a few shop owners decided to overprice their faeries (for one reason or another), and then all the other shop owners who are lucky enough to have faeries assume this is their true value, and sell them for that much, and everyone else who can't afford regular faeries is deceived.

So, this is a message to all the shop owners of Neopia, and all the customers: Lower the prices of faeries. End the deception.
