How The Poor Get Poorer

You know, it's a Gelerty-Gelert world out there, and there's nothing us poor people can do to get richer. See, a few weeks ago, if you had a shop, you could keep ALL your sales history NP in your till. You could have 3413NP in your till and still go to the Soup Kitchen and feed your pets. But now, you can't do that! See, if you just started your Neopian life, you're about to experience "Judgment Day," a day when ONLY the NEW Neopians go through, and the "Judges" have to decide if you're going to be poor or rich. You don't know when "Judgment Day" is going to come, but when it does come, you're going to be on your hands and knees, begging to be rich! You can't be savin' your NPs in your bank, because that counts too! I know, I've tried to be poor and rich at the same time. We poor people were once rich, but that's when we just started our Neopian life! We put the 500NPs in the bank, and the next thing we knew, our pets were hungry!

So, we would go to the Soup Kitchen. But the Soup Faerie would say to us: "You have too many Neopoints! You have to be truly poor to have food donations!" So we would use up those 500NPs until there was NOTHIN' left! That's how we got poor. We would buy a shop with the 500NPs and buy some stuff to put into it, and price it, and people would go into it like it was a great place to go for great prices. Then people would simmer down and stop going to your shop, like it was a ruined piece of gold, worth nothing. Then you would have to have a sale. That would seem like a year-round sale. And we poor people can't get richer. There is just no way, because when there's food for sale, it's for a silly price like Streaky Bacon for 9999NPs! We can't afford that. Yes, we have to go exploring for shops with food in it selling for 35 or 25 or 15 or 5NPs. When we have enough food to last us awhile, we still never make it to be rich.

So, please give us poor people a break and sell things for under 100NPs. That way we can help you! We buy things from other poor people's shops and help them become richer, and they thank us by coming to OUR shop. And that's how we do business! If rich people weren't so selfish, they'd see how it feels to do business OUR way! It feels great, like you've just found a buried treasure!

Now, if you're rich, don't go around selling things for prices we can't afford! Be kind, and honest, that's all I can say. I wouldn't do that, and just the thought of being kind, makes me think that if I was a Neofriend of yours, you'd be rich and I'd be poor, and I'd buy the most expensive thing I could afford, and give it to you. You'd be grateful, and happy, and "happysad," that you'd want to be as kind as me. So, be like poor people and lend a hand to those even with the coldest heart! That's what I call KIND!
