Part 2

Laura ran back over to her Jetsam, FeirceFighter, screaming, “Meeting in the kitchen! Get rip Claw and SailorQ!”

She ran inside and started rooting through the cabinets, while her NeoPets came into the kitchen and sat down. She turned back around and dropped a bunch of stuff onto the table. On the table lay screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, and four flashlights. There were four of each, one for each NeoPet and one for her. She said in a mad rush, “Scuzzewolf has been captured by Dr. Sloth, take one of each and meet me outside, wear your camouflage!”

She rushed upstairs and through her junk into a backpack and quickly changed. She ran down the steps again and kicked the door open. She saw her NeoPets ready to go and she sighed. Laura nodded and started running towards the east side of Neopia, where Dr. Sloth hides. She kept up her pace of running, SailorQ well ahead of her, Rip Claw beside her and FeirceFighter on her back. She whistled and SailorQ came back, she set down FeirceFighter and started making the plan to save her prized Lupe.

Once they figured out how to break into the building, which was a tall abandoned looking place, they slowly crept towards it. Her sweat fell down her face; she took in a quick breath as she approaches the horrible looking creatures at the front gate. Their red eyes glowed evilly, their muscles gleamed in the light, and their hardened faces were almost sickening. Dr. Sloth enslaved these poor creatures before he started on our beauties.

She bit her lower lip, thinking of a way to save her poor Lupe, and a way to get in. She remembered that she had a plan and that her Jetsam was already working on the security system. She watched in anticipation as FeirceFighter quietly opened the main box and flipped a couple of switches. Laura watched as the Grundos’ eyes slowly turn back to a normal white, and they walked off, confused as why they were there.

She motioned for the rest of her pets to follow as she ran to the gates. She had her hammer ready. As soon as Laura was close enough, she swung the hammer at the main lock, and with ease, it broke off. She quickly ran inside as quiet as she could. She has been in there before and knew where she was going, as did her pets. She watched Rip claw run off towards the cages and watched FeirceFighter get carried away to the main control panel on SailorQ’s back.

Laura took off her black clothing and set it to the side. She was wearing her old uniform from here. She was looking quite sharp. She pulled her hair back in a tight bun and put a pin through it. She straightened her white skirt. Her lab coat hung loose on her, so when she walked it swayed slightly.

Laura walked calmly over to where she saw her Cybunny run to and peered around the corner into the room. She growled slightly as she saw Rip Claw goofing off and giving them food instead of setting them free. She walked in quietly and poked him, hissing, “Set them free! Let them go home!”

He turned to her and replied, “No can do. I have to wait for FeirceFighter to down the system. So I thought they might be hungry.”

Laura sighed and rolled her eyes. She took out a remote and pointed it at the cages and they all flung open. She kicked over a bucket of food for them and said, “Eat, then go home. Or stay and help us.” She watched as they all ate like demons, not even sharing with the other poor pets. Laura asked, “Do you know where the newest pet is? A white Lupe?”

A blue Chia stopped eating and remarked, “Oh him? He’s gone by now. Dr. Sloth took him into his office about an hour ago.” He then went back to eating, happy to have survived so far.

Laura growled and kicked the empty bucket out the door. She clicked her fingers, and Rip Claw was beside her as she gave him instructions, “Stay here, make sure they leave safely. I’m going to go see how the others are doing.”

Rip Claw nodded and hopped away to the others. Laura left the room and quickly made her way over to the other side of the building, moving her way through pipes and more Grundos, which she would use her screwdriver to free from Dr. Sloth. Once she made it over to SailorQ and FeirceFighter. They were almost done. She asked, “What’s taking so long?”

“Well, he kind of messed up. He forgot which wire to cut, and when he did cut it, it set off a water sprinkler, but he’s working on it right now.” Just as SailorQ finished the lights flickered and FeirceFighter flopped next to Laura, she said cheerfully, “The main control system is now down. We can go to Dr. Sloth’s office.”

Laura picked up FeirceFighter and set him on SailorQ’s back. She turned on her heels and headed towards the office. She saw Rip Claw and the rest of the now free NeoPets behind him. She stopped and growled, “I said for them to go home!”

“They wanted to HELP!” He spat back.

“Fine,” Laura said as they all approached Dr. Sloth’s evil office. They were a step closer to a loss or victory.
