Jamie the Human, his wife Maria,
Prof. William Washpot, and the rest of their group went 2000 years before
Neopia's leader came to power to investigate the legend of Erika the Golden
Chia, the Golden Sword of Domar, and the evil Dogaicers. After sweet-talking
the leader of the Golden Chias, our heros enter the Golden Chia's cave.
First, let's drop in on the Dogaicers...
Wrath, the black Chia, or Dogaicer,
was not very happy with the captive Mystic Aisha
"You're lying."
"I'm not telling you where the Chias are!" the Mystic cried.
"Why? I thought the three hours in the pit would help."
"You killed my mother!"
"I did not! She slipped our fingers. Those freak powers she has. And the
freak powers I'm expecting you to use. Got it?"
"Fine. They're in a valley between four mountains, Grace, Hope, Faith,
and Charity. The four highest mountains in the northern range. They have
about 100 Chias, 70 of them are trained warriors with spears. Happy?"
"Extremely. I'm done here."
"May I be released?"
"Tha!" Wrath snorted, and he left.
Our entire party was in the
cave, drinking wine and eating fine Chocolate, when Prof. Washpot broke
the silence. "Well, what do you think of the Dogaicers?" The Chieftain's
wife smiled.
"The Dogaicers are very nice. Sometimes they give us food and help us
hunt." The Chieftain nodded.
"They are excellent warriors." A female in the back of the two spoke up.
"I disagree with my father." Erika! "They kill humans and other pets.
They kill Faeries."
"Only Shadow Faeries."
"But they are still Faeries!" That was Erika, all right. These Dogaicers
sounded like pretty smooth operators. Suddenly, there were about twenty
black Chias in the room. Dogaicers! I saw Thundertail the Cerepul tense
up, and Washpot's hand stray to his Bubble Gun.
"Wrath! Come in! Come, have
some food and drink!"
"No thank you, Domar." (Domar! Was that the Chieftain's name?)
"Oh, come. What do we have that you desire?"
"Your sword." There were some laughs from the Golden Chias. Wrath pointed,
and a static bolt flew from his fingertips. It hit a guard. Maria jumped
up to help him, but she didn't have to. Everyone in the room knew it was
the first blood of what was to be a long war...
"I want the Golden Sword, Domar,
you idiot!" Wrath said. "Give it to me know!" Erika took the Golden Sword
off of its ceremonial pedestal and threw it to Thundertail. He leapt up
and caught it. A pet the size of a man was facing a pet the size of a
cereal box. "Out! Out, all of ye! If me eyes see ye again, I'll mince
ye until ye all turn into pies!" He waved the sword around expertly. He
swished it and shaved off the mob of black fur on Wrath's head. He started
swinging his sword and lunging about. The Professor took his bubble gun
out and started blasting. The bald Wrath immediately walked away, casually
firing a static bolt behind his shoulder. It hit, you guessed it, Domar.
He crumpled up. After the battle was over, no Dogaicer stood, except for
Wrath, who had walked away. Erika walked over to her father's body, bent
over it, and then removed the small, wooden crown from his brow. She said
aloud, "I am my fathers only heir. I am the nighttime stars and moon.
I am Taplatlakettle's loyal servant. I am the Scholar and the Warrior.
I am going to hunt the evil Dogiacers until I am dead. I am going to get
me furry behind out of this valley as fast as I am capable. Who's with
me?" All the hands shot up. The Professor walked up to her, bowed deeply,
and then said, "Reverend One, we're going to need some help. Now, let
me explain..."
