The Body Switcher

Without warning, a Striped Nimmo with keys in his hand, stepped to our cell door, and opened it. He wagged his finger at me. "Get out of here, dirty Shoyru."

He unlocked the cuffs from my hands, and I immediately punched him in the gut, knocking him to the floor, and the air out of him. I snatched his keys and unlocked Pharoah and Ivory from the chain cuffs, letting them free also.

They dropped to the ground, Ivory safely, but Pharoah with a painful smash. He got up and shook his head. "Owee! That hurt!"

I grabbed Ivory's arm and Pharoah came running after us as we exited the cell. Alarms sounded, and an angry voice shouted over the intercom. It was Taricha's. "GET THAT THING AND NOW!!!!"

Hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of Nimmo Guards came charging down the corridor at us, all carrying weapons of different sorts. Some guns, some daggers and swords, some nunchucks (of all the weapons...) and some just chains taken from the dungeon cells.

I kept up a high pace, and opened my wings, as Ivory did the same, and we both sped ahead. Pharoah was way behind. "Hey, guys!!! I don't have wings! GUYS!!!"

The Nimmos were too fast for Pharoah, and within an instant, had caught up to him, and captured him in a net. I looked back and saw what was happening. I paused in flight. "Crud! Jess, you go ahead. I'll get Midas."

I flew off before she could answer, and knocked all the Nimmo Guards off of Pharoah. I inhaled, and blew out a heavy blast of Shoyru Inferno at them all. Some scorched their rears, but most just dodged it and ran off. Taricha's voice sounded over the intercom again. "GET HIM YOU LAZY PIECES OF DIRT!!!!!"

It only took one unexpected Nimmo Guard to jump unnoticed overhead, land behind me, and spear me in the back with a sword to knock me down. I dropped to my knees in pain, and then I was vulnerable. The guards that carried chains whipped me so I was weakened, then tied me up with the chains.

Others dropped their weapons, mostly daggers were dropped, and two grabbed me by the arms. The sword was pulled out of me, causing more pain, and was returned to the original wielder of it. There was a large door in front of me, and sure enough, the Nimmos opened it, and tossed me in the room behind it.

I couldn't move as the pain penetrated me helplessly, and I was tied up by the chains, which weren't exactly comfortable. In front of me, a circular panel with a symbol on it that glowed a blood-red colour lied. The symbol was a stretched out U that was upside down, with two vertical lines beneath it, and one thick horizontal line below that.

I looked up to see none other than Taricha himself, sitting on a throne in front of me, torches on each side of him. I shuddered from the pain of the wound on my back, and sunk my head. My face showed pain, and my cape was ripped.

Taricha laughed, and took the glass of red wine that sat on a pedestal beside him. He shook it around first, then took a small sip from it. The room was dark, only the torches gave any light at all.

"So, my minions have succeeded. That's quite rare. They're nothing but old men anyway... ahem, back to the point of why you are here, Drange. First, let me explain the metal on me." He sipped his wine again, and swallowed, then continued speaking as I looked up at him angrily.

"When you let Leviathan attack me... that was about 10 years ago, am I right? Ah, yes. I am ALWAYS right. Why do I need to ask a simpleton like yourself? Hahah..." He got a mocking smirk on his evil face.

"As Leviathan attacked me, I was pelted by light attacks, and the pain was overwhelming. But soon, I realised my only chance to survive the brutal attack was to put up a forcefield, and counterattack Leviathan. Well, as you can expect, I did do that. It saved me from death in fact."

He grinned a bit more. "Then, I decided to slam Leviathan into death with one of my extra powerful black attacks. I did that, of course, and it killed Leviathan, but also blew off one of my limbs. This arm..." He pointed to his robotic arm.

"You may be wondering what the tail rings are for. If I need to, I can swing them at someone, and the impact of the spikes hitting someone's body will release deadly, incurable poison into them. The shoulderpads are merely armour. The belt is for carrying my deadly weapons." He rubbed his large, noticeable sword proudly.

"The metal fist is simply a destructive weapon, as is this gun on my arm, near the fist. Shall I explain the differently coloured eyes? Yes. I shall." I found it strange how he answered his own question. Perhaps the blast Taricha released not only blew off his arm, but also destroyed his mind. He's nuts!!

"The normal eye wasn't affected, as it was closed when I launched the blast, but my other eye was open for aim. The blast knocked much debris from the walls at me, and a bit of it got into my open eye, and permanently blinded me. Thankfully, my loyal scientist did some work on me when he found my body at the ruins of the scene. This is the result. A half-robotic me."

Taricha sipped the last of his wine, and stood up triumphantly. "And now I shall complete the job I brought you here for." On a small altar in front of him, he placed his hands.

He chanted a small phrase quietly, that gradually rose in volume. "Thyne spirits circling us, give me the power, to live in this one's shell. Thyne spirits are godly, and that is why I ask, grant me his body, 'tis a simple task!!!"

Suddenly, the ground shook below me, while Taricha cackled like evil. I felt my soul release from my body, but suddenly I felt it again. The ground ceased it's wild trembling, and I was surprised to see my own body stand up in front of me. My body dusted itself off, and looked at me with the eyes of Taricha, one yellow and black, one red and yellow.

My body extended it's arms, and broke the chains on it with ease. Finally I knew what had happened. I was now in Taricha's body, and Taricha... was in mine...

Escaping the Base

I stood up, and watched as Taricha(in my body, disguised as me, Drange) ran out the door, but stopped to look back at me with an evil grin on his face. "Farewell, Taricha!"

He then ran off, down the corridor. I suddenly thought, 'What about Jess!? And Midas!? They'll think he's me, and he'll kill them!! I gotta' get down there!!'

I started dashing through the exit where Taricha had gone through, and ran out the door, only to find Ivory and Pharoah had met up with the fake me. Taricha smirked at the two.

Ivory sighed. "I'm glad you're safe, Drange... let's get out of here before Taricha gets here."

Pharoah looked past Taricha and saw me... in Taricha's body. "AHHH!!! IT'S TARICHA!! BEHIND YOU, DRANGE!!!!" Taricha turned around, and grabbed the sword Ivory once gave me from my sheath, and slashed me with it.

When I fell to the ground, he laughed victoriously, and put the sword back in it's sheath. He grabbed me by the neck, and smirked. "Don't bother stalking me. It won't work. I've got it all planned out, and you're not part of my plan."

He kicked me in the stomach. "SO, GET LOST, SCUM!!" He then turned to Ivory and Pharoah. Pharoah, who seemed to find this all a bit strange, looked Taricha in the eyes. "I-It's not Drange... his eyes are evil...."

Ivory then focused on his eyes. "You're right... my God, it's Taricha!!!" Taricha laughed. "Guess this body isn't a good enough disguise when evil hides inside my eyes."

He grabbed the sword again, and was about to spear Ivory when a Glass Shoyru jumped up from behind him, and grabbed the sword from him, and slashed him. Taricha fell to the ground, and growled. "URAWA!!! YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!!!"

I stood up weakly, and looked at Urawa, who was now in a dark red cape, had a silvery blue helmet on, golden metal gloves with red jewels in them, silver boots, and a heavy steel armor. Was he on my side or Taricha's side!? Urawa turned to me, and tossed the sword over. "Drange, catch it! It's yours!"

It landed on the ground in front of me, making a clanking sound, and I picked it up eagerly. I then stood up in heavy pain, and rushed to Taricha, and kicked him into the wall. He grunted, and I outspread my wings. I was much larger than all my friends, Ivory, Pharoah, and Urawa(is he really a friend?) now that I was in Taricha's body.

I tucked the sword under my arm, and signaled for the group. "Jess, Urawa, Midas, on my back! NOW! Before this freak wakes up!"

Ivory pointed a wary finger at me. "But you- but how can- you're Taricha!" I shook my head. "NO! I'M NOT! WOULDN'T I ATTACK YOU IF I WERE TARICHA!?"

She pondered this for a moment, then nodded. "Yes... you would.. Drange..." she hesitated, then climbed on my back, as did Urawa and Pharoah, and I pried open a metal panel in the wall, opening it up, and throwing it on the floor. I slipped out through the hole I had made in the wall, and started flight.

It was a bit hard, as I wasn't used to flying with Taricha's wings. I banked downward, then sideways, then upside down, then upward. Pharoah got a bit dizzy, and hiccuped. "You're making me nauseous!!! Stop *hiccup* doing that!!"

I banked down once more, then jerked upwards again. If anyone saw me from below on the ground, I'm sure they'd have thought I looked like a seagull. "Err... I'm not exactly used to these wings, but... give me some time and I'll try to get used of them!"

Pharoah started to turn green with sickness. "Not feeling so well... whoa... ugh... need to barf!!!" I started to panic. If there was anything I didn't want, it'd be a Moehog barfing on me!!!

I sped up, and forced myself to get a hang of the flying. "HANG ON!!!"

The ground came closer and closer, and finally I landed on the metallic ground of the new Jynan... I had escaped... not only from the Nimmo's HQ, but also from being puked on by Pharoah...
