The Beginning
On a sunny day she landed in Neopia. This is her story...
I landed in my spacecraft on a bright day on a strange
planet. The planet's sun was shining in the sky-blue, can you imagine?
And around the hot star were white, puffy condensations. I had landed
because I was exploring planets to find a way to make galaxy peace. I
didn't even know if there was a sentient species on this planet. But also
my spacecraft was making disturbing noises, crying, "Land! Emergency!
O-o-o-oh, land!"
So there I was, stranded on this totally different world.
I realised that I would not be able to fix Grastiw for a long time. It
required many parts that I didn't have, not yet. I decided to try and
explore. Since I was stuck, I might as well see if I could make peace
here.
I set to work folding up Grastiw. With the push of a
button he started to shrink himself. After only a few seconds my spacecraft
had become a golden remote. I put it in my pocket carefully.
The dense forest that I had landed in had a most uncomfortable
climate. The air was hot and humid so I couldn't tell if the liquid covering
my body was sweat or just from the air.
Suddenly I saw a flash of movement in the vegetation.
"Who goes there?" I cried, in my native language of course. It was silent.
"Please come out," I pleaded. "Don't hurt me!"
A strange creature peeked out of the brush. It had a
round, slightly hairy body with a sharp spear in one hand. "Hoplan wesyacm
zoque!" it screamed in a tongue unknown to my race. "Translator on," I
whispered. I put my paw to my ear to push the translator closer.
"Frasnee," the creature frowned. "Utla!" It turned and
ran off.
I stood there stupidly, not knowing what to do. I patted
my pocked to make sure Grastiw was still in there.
Then the alien came back. It screwed up its face and
glared at me. "Utla! UT-la Oooot-laaaah. Utla?"
"Utla..." I repeated blankly. "Translator, interpret
utla!" I hissed.
"UTLA: translates to...come," my translator replied obediently.
"Oh. Yes, I'll utla, I suppose," I told the alien with
a nod.
"Sreshaw!" it cried happily. "Utla!" The creature ran
off again. My translator told me sreshaw meant "good."
I ran as fast as I could after the thing. I watched with
fascination as a flick of the spear made the huge brambles covering the
path disappear.
"Who are you?" I panted. "What is your name? What are
you?"
The alien stopped and turned to me. "Coco," he said,
pointing to himself. "Blapsat."
"Oh. Aisha, Noluny," I replied. Then I noticed that my
translator was fully effective towards the Coco.
"Aisha?" he asked in wonder. "I seen others. Aishas.
No look much like you."
"What?" I was startled. Aishas, on this planet? Could
it be? "How are they different from me?"
Blapsat stared at me hard. "Smaller eyes. No this thing..."
He reached up and pointed to the purple triangle on my forehead. "You
too many these things." He gestured to the extra ears coming from my head.
"OK, all good. Go go go." So I went.
Soon Blapsat and I arrived at a deep, dark cave. I noticed
that the walls were covered with primitive carvings of things unknown
to me. Blapsat kept leading me deeper into the huge cave.
Then I saw what looked like a huge statue of a Coco.
Sitting in front was a Coco dressed elegantly in a headdress made of bright
gems and feathers.
Blapsat motioned for me to go to the leader. I did. "Highest
Coco," I began. "I need your help. I come from another planet far, far
away. My craft has broken down and I cannot repair it. Do you have or
know where I could get some tools?"
"Alien," the Highest Coco said, "I understand you are
stuck." I nodded eagerly. "Well, why were you straying from your home
world?"
"I was looking for planets that needed peacemaking,"
I told him. "But my spacecraft had trouble so I needed to land."
"I will help you, Strange One. But even one as myself
does not have everything. You must see the Faerie Queen in Faerieland
and ask for her help. Until you are able to escape, you must make the
best of everything here. Do I make myself known?"
"Yes, Highest One," I replied. "I should try to help
the beings here? What are they called?"
The Highest Coco smiled. "You shall help... the Neopians."
To be continued...
