Ivory and Pharoah
"Where do we start...?" Pharoah questioned Ivory, who
seemed to know the land around the castle better than he did. She scratched
her chin. "Erm... I know this... hrm...." She looked around the grassy
field that she had walked out of her castle into. Pharoah looked up at
Ivory. "Um... do you know where you're going?"
"Of course I do!!" She snapped back at Pharoah quickly.
"I, erm... just need some time to get my bearings, okay!?" She blushed
a bit. She really didn't know where to go. "Um.. OK, where would I go
if I were Drange... I would've stayed back at the castle and forgotten
about my brother, Larmos!!! No, no. That's me. That's not Drange... hrm..."
Pharoah walked ahead. "Princess, didn't you say you were
in the forest when Drange found you?" Ivory nodded. "Yeah, so?"
"Well, he was probably coming from Jynan, his hometown,
through the forest when he found you, so if he's going back to Jynan,
wouldn't he have gone through this forest?" Ivory snapped her finger.
"Yeah, that's right! I knew I'd come up with that if I thought long enough.
I-I'm a genius!!"
She quickly ran into the forest, Pharoah following behind.
"Princess! Princess! WAIT!!" Ivory stopped abruptly, and turned around
to face an out-of-breath Pharoah. "Don't call me Princess anymore, it's
too suspicious. I need a different name... call me... Jess. Yeah, Jess."
Pharoah quirked an eyebrow. "Jess?" Ivory nodded. "Yeah,
Jess. If I find Drange, which I will, I'll have to follow him closer so
I can get in on the action!" Pharoah's head sunk. "And what am I supposed
to be to disguise myself!? Your steed!?" Ivory's face lightened. "Yeah!!
You could be my steed! What a great idea!!"
Pharoah's eyes widened as he fell back. "I was only ki-"
Ivory whacked Pharoah over his head. "Quiet! You'll be my steed named...
erm... Midas! Yeah, Midas!" Pharoah got up, and mumbled to himself. "Me
and my big mouth.... sheesh." He looked at Ivory. "Fine.. but your mother
and father-" Ivory cut him off in mid-sentence again. "WHO CARES WHAT
MOM AND DAD LIKE!!! THEY'RE NEVER HAPPY SO, BIG DEAL!!!" Pharoah stomped
the ground with his front hoof.
"I don't like this very much either!!! .... but, what
am I supposed to do..."
Ivory paced back and forth, with her hand on her chin,
thinking. "Hmm... when I find Drange, he might recognise me because of
my BEAUTIFUL face!" Pharoah coughed, and rolled his eyes, making Ivory
look back. "WHAT WAS THAT COUGH FOR?!"
Pharoah covered his head with his hooves, and whimpered.
"N-nothing! I have a bad cold, see?" He fake coughed a few times to try
and convince Ivory that it was only a cold, and not an insult to her.
Ivory snorted, and turned her back to Pharoah again.
She crossed her arms, and thought to herself. "I know!" She scraped her
finger in the dirt, and then dug her hands into it. She splashed the dirt
over her face, making it look like she was naturally dirty (which she
wasn't, her mom and dad always made her take baths once a day since she
was a princess).
She grinned mischievously, and turned around to face
Pharoah. "How do I look, Midas?"
Pharoah grunted at the fake name, then reluctantly nodded.
"Fine...." Ivory smiled, and then clapped her hands. "I guess we're ready
to go then, huh?" Pharoah nodded again. "Yeah, yeah..."
Within an instant, Ivory had hopped on Pharoah's back.
"Yee-haw!! Giddy-up, horsey!!!" She took a small Fire Whip from her belt,
and whipped Pharoah's rear with it, making him charge ahead. "OW!!!!"
He stopped suddenly, skidding and spinning through a
pile of mud, and threw Ivory off. "What'd you do that for!?!!!" He was
obviously angry, but Ivory was laughing! "I was really into the attitude,
don't you think!"
Pharoah growled. "Don't whip me like that!! It hurts!!"
Ivory started to frown. "But it was so fun.... I guess we'll just have
to walk the rest of the way then.." She started to walk, pretending to
be so very sad.
She wiped her brow in an effort to look exhausted. "Oh
no... I can't go on much longer.. Ohhhhhh...!" Pharoah grumbled, and ran
to her side. "You're such a brat... no wonder your mother and father always
are mad..."
Ivory snickered, and climbed on Pharoah's back again,
then pulled out her Fire Whip. Pharoah looked back, and grabbed the Fire
Whip in his mouth before she could whip him with it again. "Princess!!"
Ivory growled. "Who's the princess? I don't see a princess
around here. I only see a girl named Jess, and a steed named Midas!" Pharoah
growled, and mocked Ivory. "Only see a girl named Jess and a steed named
Midas." He sighed. "Fine.. But no whipping... Jess."
