9th and 10th March
- If you are in the middle of a battle or two down at the Mysterious Obelisk, you may want to finish it up by today. We heard that some rather scary looking Neopians are planning on turning up at around midnight (NST) tonight. Better watch out!
Once you start battling, perhaps you could also keep an eye out for a brand new luminous cask? Rumour has it that new treasure will be popping up when the new challengers arrive.
- Now you can frolick in a field of mountain wildflowers with the latest foreground from the Neopian Gift Shop.
Those flowers are pretty tasty, too!
- The next round of the Beauty Contest is about to begin! Head on over and vote for your favourite. You can also take a look at the three winners of the last round! Congratulations to Cybit_2002, FortunesWon, and Dwindle!
- Kauvara's Magic Shop has two new morphing potions that will turn you into a woodland colour!
- The newest issue of the Neopian Times has been released! Keep your eyes open for great stories and adventures like Letters from the Plateau and A Study in Seeking.
- It's a baby! Well, sort of. The newest Bigsby Shadington's Wonderclaw machine might just make your Neopet feel young again! Drop in a widget from the NC Mall to grab new baby-themed NC item prizes. To enhance your game, you can use Power-Ups to upgrade your prizes. Please note that some items can only be worn by Neopets painted baby, so you might want to get that Baby Paint Brush out before you play! ;)
- U.S. Players: Can you rock the vault? Test your skills in our latest sponsor game from Post Pebbles! Match up the Pebbles cereal pieces and see if you can clear the board before time runs out. Now, go rock it!

Meanwhile, we have stubbed our toes more than once on these new Green Luminous Casks... If you happen to have a key from the NC Mall, then you are in luck. (Because those keys open the casks - not because they are especially lucky items.)

6th March - Gelert Day
- Have you been helping your faction down at the Mysterious Obelisk? What do you mean you haven't even joined? It might be a good idea to get into the battle while you can. Rumours are floating around claiming that a stronger group of challengers will assemble at midnight NST tonight. How eerie!
- Happy Gelert Day! Gelerts can now turn themselves into Transparent or Eventide colours at the Rainbow Pool!
- The Poems page has been filled with Gelert-themed titles such as 'Ode To The Smug Philosopher' and 'The Gelert Who Remains Unnamed'!
- Musfel's lookup has won User Lookup of the Week and is dedicated to the Brute Squad!
- How lucky! Cap'n Threelegs is offering free training to Gelerts who visit him on Gelert Day.
- If you would like to become friends with a magma or Maraquan Gelert, Plushie Palace may be just the place to look.

- A new wave of
dancers battlers have appeared at the Mysterious Obelisk. Make way for the Roadside Bandits, Charming Subversives, Hedgewitches, Back Alley Bruisers, Smug Philosophers, and Zombie Hooligans! During the ensuing battle, you may also come across a new Purple Luminous Cask, which can inexplicably still be opened by keys from the NC Mall.
- Now baby Neopets can keep warm with brand new knitted mittens from Unis Clothing Shop.
