18th and 19th August - Annual Usuki Doll Convention (early)
- Don't forget to line up for your goodie bag at the Toy Shop! You might find some exclusive items that are only available in the bag and nowhere else!
- While you are in line at Usukicon, you can read all the fun Usuki themed Poems! There are some intriguing titles this year, such as 'Usuki Meltdown' and 'Ode To The Biggest Fan', for instance!
- A new Random Contest has begun! Good luck to all the entrants, and congratulations to last week's winners.
- The next round of the Beauty Contest is about to begin! Head on over and vote for your favourite. You can also take a look at the three winners of the last round! Congratulations to Skdaffle, agoku9638, and L_U_M_Y_Y!
- Make sure you visit the Magical Bookshop for two new books that are all about Usukis!
- The newest issue of the Neopian Times has been released! Keep your eyes open for great stories and adventures like Of Shields and Swords and 5 Reject Usukis That Shouldn't Be Rejects.
- The Art Gallery has been updated with some awesome Usuki images for you to admire! :)
- It's that time of year again! You can now gear up for school with the Back to School Y14 Gift Box Mystery Capsule, available now in the NC Mall. Cheer up your friends with something nice (if they are bummed about all this back to school business)! :)
17th August - Meerca Day (early)
- The Meerca can now be painted in 8-Bit and Strawberry at the Rainbow Pool!
- The Poems page has been updated with such works as 'Cheers For Meerca Day!' and 'A Snotty Situation'!
- Brianblz invites you to visit 'My Lovely Neohome', which has won the Neohomes Spotlight this week!
- There is a new Mystery Pic competition. The answer to the last one was Scroll of Radiance. 695 people guessed correctly, earning them 2,878 NP each.
- The Bakery has some rolls for sale that look a lot like Meerca tails!
- Mittens the Plushie Slorg has won the Petpet Spotlight this week!
- Celebrate Meerca Day by browsing all the fun Meerca images that are on display at the Art Gallery!
- Cap'n Threelegs is giving away free training to all Meercas who will visit him on Meerca Day.
- The Clothing Shop is offering two new outfits for sale that are tailored just for Meercas!
- If you see neggs in the sky whenever clouds float by, we have some exciting news for you! The Cloud Meerca Key Quest Token is now available at the NC Mall! Now you can get one and start the Meerca Day celebrations early. :)
16th August

- The Meerca Day celebrations seem to be early this year, starting with the latest Caption Contest image!

14th August
- Some Neopians have been calling it a mirage, but it really isn't! Not only does the Fruit Machine have a new look, it also has updated prizes! Grab yourself an ice cold beverage (to stave off the desert weather) and try it out!
- Celtabi the Blumaroo has won the Pet Spotlight this week!
- The Doughnut Rug and Bale of Hay have been updated to fit your 2.0 Neohome! :)

Cassandra had been working as an assistant to Felix, the Ruki who owned The Neopian Second-Hand Shoppe, for a few years now. To Cassandra, it was almost a dream when the position opened up. She had always loved fashion -- as a child she had read almost every edition of Uni's Fashion Monthly -- and as she grew older she enjoyed sewing her own outfits...
