    Katri nodded, swallowing hard. It was Peryck's birthday, and she'd promised to go with him for a glass-bottomed boat ride at Kiko Lake. The Uni was happy to admit that having the wind blow through her fur and hearing the slap of the water against the sides of the boat was pleasant, but she couldn't help being a little unnerved by the craft's see-through hull.
