20th January
- New Challenger! - If that greedy Kadoatie has ever taken your hard-earned Neopoints, you can now seek revenge in the Battledome!

- Agogo's Bed and Breakfast has won the latest Neohome Spotlight. Congratulations to the owner, carrie24601.
- Kauvara has been hard at work in the Magic Shop creating these new Morphing Potions.
- A new issue of the Neopian Times has been released. Keep your eyes open for great stories and adventures like 10 Ways to Get Items From the Neocola Machine and A Helper For Hubert.
- There is a new Mystery Pic competition. The answer to the last one was Pterattack Play Button. 424 people guessed correctly, earning them 4,717 NP each!
- A Plushie Hissi is no less intimidating than a regular one, except for that whole cuddly thing.
- Today's Pet Spotlight goes to a Halloween Korbat called Kormapolitan!
- After you pummel that Kadoatie in the Battledome, pick up some of this commemorative merchandise to celebrate.
- Don't forget, a new round of the Beauty Contest begins today!
- The latest Caption Contest proves that no one is safe from the greedy Kadoatie.
- A new page of lovely Poems has been added to the site.
- Some new books with a Xweetok theme are now on sale in the Book Shop.
- Guild Change! - Ad banners have been removed from guild homepages. Because some users saw banners and others didn't, it was causing some guild customisations to break for guilds with a mixture of these members. With the banner now removed, you may have to edit your CSS layouts a bit to line them up properly again, but they should no longer break for users without banners.
- You can now paint your Wocky Sketch at the Rainbow Pool.
- A garden is never truly complete without a gnome for decoration. You can pick up one of these new items in the Garden Centre.
19th January
- Some new mushroom foods are now available in the Food Shop, including a tasty mushroom kebob.
- A new Lenny Conundrum competition has begun. The answer to last week's was Gnorbu. 5,467 people guessed the correct answer earning themselves 366 NP each.
- Ewwww, it seems something rather foul has washed ashore at the Smuggler's Cove.
- Ballerina_baby888 and justdance are the winners of this week's Site Spotlight award for their site - Life of a Gooseberry Chia.
- New Game! - A crazed Mutant Chia has kidnapped the sister of the famous Jolly Jugglers. They need your help to rescue her from certain doom!
- Kellisan has won herself the Neoadventure Spotlight with her adventure, Attack Of The Random Events.
While happily strolling through Neopia Central one day, you are suddenly hit with a random event! Oooooo.....you're all excited until you realize that it's just a Draik flying by heading towards Mystery Island. Ugh! And there you were, hoping you had found some Neopoints or something.
- This week's PPL award has been given to the Anubis. Well done Elvis, Winston, Baby Honeybun, Bunny, and all the others.

- Some new information has been discovered regarding that dastardly Lupe called Gnarfas. As a result, there's a new article in the Neopedia to warn others of this devious character!
- YARR! Yer not a real pirate 'til you've mastered the art of colouring, aye? These four new piratey Colouring Pages can be found on Krawk Island.
- This week's Better Than You challenger is none other than Pacha, Tyrannia's foremost veterinarian. Can you beat him at 200m Peanut Dash?
- Some Buddy Icons featuring the new Jolly Jugglers game are now available for you to use.
- Another New Feature! - Guild Mailing options are now available! If you are a guild leader and wish to receive a notification every time someone joins your guild, you can turn this option on. If you are a guild member and wish to receive mass-neomailings from your guild leader, you can also turn this preference on. This option has been set to "off" by default, so if you'd like to change it, head over to your User Preferences page.
January 18th
- Today is randomly dedicated to the Anubis! To start things off, they can now be painted Disco, Fire, Plushie and Ghost at the Petpet Puddle.
- The User Lookup of the Week goes to anikajinn, a Neopian history buff and Captain Roundhoof fan.

Tomorrow I plan to begin the construction of a raft to escape this place; I have a good recollection of how to make it and I'm sure with great effort it will be completed soon, though something is holding me back -- something is compelling me to stay... I wouldn't consider staying a wise choice though.
