11th February - Lenny Day! (well almost)
- Ok, so Lenny Day is really on the 12th but as it is a Saturday we are starting the celebrations
a little early.
- Arrr! Avast its a Pirate Lenny and a Checkered one too.
- Banner Update - You may have noticed a new banner at the bottom of some pages. Please bear
with us during this experimental phase as we are trying to do what is best for the site. With that in mind,
these new banners should not make the page load any slower for you and are placed at the bottom of the page so you
can browse the site as normal. Rest assured no banners will appear on your userlookups!
- There are four new Lenny Shopkeepers to brighten up your shop.
- The Book Shop has four rather scholarly
Lenny themed books in stock that are sure to make your Neopet more intelligent (if they can
manage to read all the way through them)
- Be sure to take your Lenny to visit Captain Threelegs! He
will kindly be giving away free training all day today and tomorrow.
- Dieter can now happily munch snow in all available languages...
- The Bakery has four new
cakes specially designed for Lenny Day. They are even decorated with little feathers - aww!
- This week's Neohome Spotlight award has been given to
Nyanki, proud owner of 339484 Wishing Well Drive, Neopia Central.
- There are some new Lenny themed poems for you to enjoy in the
Gallery.
- This bright and colourful Lenny Background
is sure to liven up your desktop.
- As well as the Lenny shopkeepers, there is a new Blog
for you to use.
- By popular demand, there is a new Lenny avatar for you to collect.
- We have updated the Lenny Conundrum trophies to these snazzier, shinier versions.
- It appears that this Pink Lenny has a few fans in this weekend's
Caption Contest.
- There is a new Mystery Pic competition. The
answer to the last one was Kreludor. 859 people managed to guess the correct answer, earning themslves
2,329 NP each.
- A new Random Contest has begun. Now with a new
improved submission system.
- There are four new Battledome items designed specially for
Lennies. These all have a healing or freezing effect, depending on how you use them.
- Congratulations Lenny_mas_Grande, you have just won this week's last
Pet Spotlight award.
- The 177th issue of the Neopian Times
is now live. This week has a distinctively Valentines theme.
- A new round of the Beauty Contest is about to begin.
- The Cloud and Faerie Quiggles have been updated
- There are pages and pages of Lenny themed fan art for you to admire in the
Art Gallery.
10th February
- This week's PPL award has been given to the Huggy. Well done
My Little Friend, HuggyBuggy, Bjorke, Julio, Dr. Hugo Huggy,
Benedict
and all the others.
- Adranth's adventure - Order of the Flames has just won this week's
Neoadventure Spotlight.
The corridor curved and you went along with it, noting a old and worn
red carpet down the middle of the floor, covered with dust but looking
quite regal dispite it's obvious age. Dust flew up from it as you
walked, your paws sunk into it's plush surface.
- Yet another strange beast has been spotted around Maraqua. This must mean there is something happening down there...
- A new Lenny Conundrum competition has begun. The answer to last week's
was The Ruins of Maraqua. 2,370 people guessed the correct answer earning themselves 844 NP each.
- The Chocolate Factory has just unveiled some new chocolate Kacheeks.
These are bigger than the normal ones and are hollow with small chocolates inside!
- We have added a sound off/on button to Spell or Starve.
- Alietzya and Reissue are the proud owners of a shiny new Site Spotlight
trophy.
- Three new levels have been added to the Ice Cream Machine.
Look out for Tigersquash, Rainbowberry and Garlicy Bratwurst!
- The Press Kit page has been updated with new images
from the Hannah and the Ice Caves TCG expansion.
- Tinybaby_orange1 has created a rather seasonal Valentines themed Pirate Cave Of The Week -
Be Mine.
- Lupe fans should be pleased to hear there is a new Desktop Background featuring a
Plushie Lupe.
- The latest Better Than You challenger is Monty the Mad
(from Bilge Dice fame).
- The Brown and Checkered Quiggles have been updated.
- As a reminder, Lenny Day is fast approaching, so be sure to send in your
Lenny themed pictures, poems, spotlights and galleries.
- Some more colouring pages featuring Unis have been added to various parts of the site.
- The random contest competition will be judged tomorrow. We are in the process of setting up an easier way to
judge all the entries (yay no more reading 25,000 emails :D) and this won't be finished until tomorrow morning.
9th February
- Today is randomly Snicklebeast themed... Why? We don't know but they are cute :D
- Happy Chinese New Year! Why not send a friend one of these New Year

- We felt that the Huggy was in need of a little attention, so it has been redrawn slightly. You can also

at the Petpet Puddle.
- There is a new page of Poems with a Neopian twist
for you to read.
- The Quiggle is the latest Neopet to receive a little makeover. At the moment
only red, green, yellow and blue have been updated, but the rest will be completed
over the coming weeks.
- The Techo How To Draw guide has been updated to the
new look Techo.
- The Tiki Tack Man has managed to get hold of some new booby prizes to give away on his
Tombola Stall.
- Popso_the_hopso and Tooty_Fruity56 have just won today's Site Spotlight
award with their website dedicated to peas.
