- Hannah seems to be taking a little time off adventuring in the second part of our
Hannah and the Ice Caves
plot...
- SITE UPDATE - We have installed mod-gzip on most of our servers (finally!)
What this does is basically compress (zip) each HTML page after you request it, so less information
has to be downloaded. This will shrink the size of each page on Neopets from roughly 18K
to 8K.
SCIENCE!
So effectively this means that people on modem connections will be able to load pages about
twice as fast! The diagram below will explain using the latest Internet lingo exactly
how this is achieved, and what happens to a web page in the time between it leaves our servers and
when it arrives on your computer screen.

- The TCG Collection page has been updated to incude the Hannah and the Ice Caves expansion.

that you may recognise from the Hannah and the Ice Caves TCG set.
- There is a new Rollover with a Hannah and the Ice Caves theme.
- A new round of the Beauty Contest is about to begin.

- The first part of the Hannah and the Ice Caves
has just been launched! Here we meet Galem, the rather gruff leader of the thieves guild...
- New Layout!
As you can see we have changed the side bar a little bit. This new look lets us enable lots of cool new features such as
a live clock.
Eventually there will be themes for you to collect, much
the same way that avatars currently work. We will be adding more banners shortly so you wont always see the
same thing again and again.
Lastly whenever you get a new event it will now show it as an icon (like the box below)
in the top left hand corner of whatever page you are on.
