  • The work we did yesterday on the database has made the site much faster! Woohoo! Yesterday (Friday) we did a total of 142,199,000 pageviews (a new record!). Let's hope the weekend is as fast.
  • A certain employee forgot to upload Mystery Pic. Don't worry... we are taking him to the lab to see if the ray gives him any more intelligence :) The answer to last week's competition was the Guild Header, and not the Money Tree as 5,845 people had guessed.
  • 23 Million Neopets has just been reached!!! Woohoo!!!

  • We took the site down for 30 minutes earlier for database maintenance. Sorry about that. As a result Neopets should be even faster today!
2nd August

  • SITE UPDATE - Neopets was down for about an hour last night for some maintenance. As a result it is running much faster today, and we hope to add even more servers over the course of the day to make sure the pages load quickly.
1st August

  • We have a new Mystery Pic competition today. The answer to last week's competition was 'The Faerie PetPet Shopkeeper'.
  • We fixed the Referral Program so that it is actually giving the prizes out (we have had a problem with it over the last few weeks).
  • Today's Art Gallery has a Petpet theme.

  • IMPORTANT - The site may be coming down for maintenance in the next few hours as we are adding a new database machine. We will notify you here when this is completed. UPDATE : We are back up!

  • Today's Pet Spotlight features two Lupes - Leoflare and Jisonshin.
  • 16 new shopkeepers have been added, including many Lost Desert Neopets!

  • We have added some more of your Poems!! Remember, if your Neopets poem gets published we will reward you with 1,000 NP and a rare item!
31st July
  • Ummm we forgot to mention that we just hit ...


    15 MILLION PLAYERS!!!!

    As a result we will be celebrating by giving out all manner of goodies at the Money Tree all day. The Neopets Team will also be celebrating in the office with cold porridge and bloater paste!

  • LOST DESERT UPDATE - Yes, we are a bit behind with finishing off the Lost Desert content :( We intend to wrap up the world very soon, and have decided to start the next world a week earlier than planned! Keep watching this space for more news.

  • If you drop by the Food Shop you may see some delicious new goodies including Lasagne, Salmon Steaks and Pastrami Sandwiches.

  • Today's Site Spotlight features the web page of Funahou the Faerie Gelert.
  • We added a Neopedia article about Little Timmy, Tuskaninny.
  • A new entry to the Gallery of Evil has been added - Malkus Vile, Crown thief extraordinaire. We know the crown prizes havent been given out yet, we are waiting for some nice new items to be created :)

  • Not wanting to be left out, the Chocolate Factory has launched a new range of chocolate coated surprises :)

  • Just so it doesnt feel left out, we just added another 40,000 Cybunnies into Neopia.
  • We fixed the script that sent the Birthday cards out - so if it was your birthday and you didn't get a Birthday email from us, we apologise, and errr.. a very happy un-birthday for today :)

30th July
  • The Trading Post has been taken down, and this time we intend to totally rewrite it to get rid of all the bugs and cheats. We intend to release all the items from the post over the next few hours, so if any of your items are stuck in the trading post, they wont be soon.
  • Now you can adopt a speckled Pteri!

  • The new Caption Contest is live! Can you think of something witty to bag yourself a shiny trophy and some Neopoints?

  • 15 new shopkeepers have been added, including many Shadowed, Christmas and Faerie pets.

  • A new Story Telling Contest has been launched - you could win 2000 Neopoints and a rare item!
