The Ultimate Time Twisters Adventure: Part Five

by too_kule

Untitled Document Kyohara woke up. She looked around and basically saw nothing. Besides the odd black Hopso or black Mortog in the distance, or some clouds of purple gas, or the black roses all over the ground, there was nothing to see. The ground was as flat as a pancake.

"Where am I? How did I get here?" she asked to herself. She spun around again. Finally, she bent down and pulled some Black Roses out of the ground. The ground was covered in sand!

"I'm in the Lost Desert! But how did I get here... uh oh. I think I've started sleep walking again!" she cried. She saw some weird shadows on the ground. She looked up and saw a circle of Zumagorn flying around. The looked very hungry... Kyohara just hoped Kyrii weren't on their menu.

The silver ring of time zoomed over the water. Yoigo was holding it, and a whole ton of other Neopets were holding onto him. Eventually the land of Meridell came into view. They flew and landed on the ground outside of the castle. They touched down on some Black Roses and all got up. It had only taken them about ten minutes since the ring was traveling so unbelievably fast.

"I don't feel too good," said Junior G. He was stumbling around... in the direction of some more black Mortogs!

"Hey Junior G, stop!" cried Tasuara. She flew over and wrapped her tail around his arm and started pulling him backwards. The Mortogs kept jumping closer and closer. There was not much they could do... then suddenly a spear came and hit the Mortog! A Draik in armour ran over and signalled for them to follow. He pointed up as a gigantic cloud of purple gas was floating right over them.

"It will start raining poison water! Hurry!" he cried. The others ran and followed him into the giant castle of King Skarl. They ran up to the drawbridge that started coming down. They crossed and got inside just as some green rain came down.

"That was too close for comfort," said Methalius. The Draik guard nodded.

"It wasn't too smart to be outside with all of this stuff happening! All of these plagues just came out of nowhere. Pretty much everywhere, everyone is inside. We're lucky there isn't too much purple gas outside, or else you'd be dead!" said the Draik.

"Yeah, but so would the Mortogs and Hopsos I bet," said Bortyk. The Draik guard seemed to notice Bortyk for the first time. It was probably because Bortyk was also a Draik so he felt comforted.

"My name is Zeedil. May I ask what you seven are doing here?" asked the Draik.

"Our friend... we think that he got attacked by a black Mortog," said Yoigo.

"Your friend wouldn't happen to be a baby Chia, would he? Because we found a baby Chia on the ground outside yesterday. It had been attacked," said Zeedil.

"That's him! That's Chakeebo! Do you know where he is?" asked Millyum.

"Follow me," said Zeedil. Everyone expected Zeedil to be happy about finding Chakeebo's friends, but he looked sad. They followed him up a narrow stone stairway.

"This looks bad. I don't think Chakeebo's well," whispered Tasuara to Bortyk.

"Let's just hope he's not dead. If he is this would affect the others. I doubt they'd be able to carry on," replied Bortyk. Tasuara nodded. They kept climbing the stems until they came out on a landing. It was an empty room except for two Ixi. One was brown and the other was white. They had very sad faces when they all came up. They were looking through the window at something.

"Status report," said Zeedil as he walked over to the Ixi and looked through the window. He flinched.

"Bad, and getting worse," stated the White Ixi.

"Yes. The venom has spread through nearly his entire body. It will soon reach the brain. You can see that every so often he starts to move. The venom is getting to him, soon he ill be uncontrollable," said the brown Ixi.

"These are the friends of the victim. Please come closer," said Zeedil. One of the Ixi looked up as if to object but she stopped herself. They walked closer and gasped at what they saw in the next room. Chakeebo was lying down on the bed. Straps were holding him down. Instead of being yellow, he was a steely blue colour. His eyes were open and not blinking. The pupil and the iris were colourless.

"The venom the Mortog injected into him is taking over," said the brown Ixi.

"Is there a cure?" asked Millyum. Tears were flowing down her face. She knew that if they didn't act fast, she'd lose one of her closest friends forever.

"There is a cure... but it won't be easy to obtain. You have to find the Venom Elixir. It will cure any venom. Only three known bottles of this substance is known and it's in..." Zeedil's sentence broke off.

"It's in the stomach of the Turmaculus! He swallowed some bottles of the potion years ago. We know about the stomach acids of the Turmaculus, and it can't digest glass. The bottles of the elixir are safe. We have not sent anyone inside because we have not found a reason to," said the white Ixi.

"If you want to save your Chia friend, one of you will have to go inside. Probably the smallest," said the brown Ixi. She looked at Junior G. Everyone else looked at him too. Junior G gulped.

"No way! I'm not going in!" he yelled.

"If you don't go in the Chia will perish!" cried Tasuara.

"You must go!" exclaimed Millyum through tears.

     "We're begging you," said Deracko.

"Please..." whispered Millyum. Junior G looked at her and felt he might cry too. Chakeebo was at the top of Junior G's enemy list. Deep down inside he really didn't want Chakeebo to die. He knew he had to go inside of the Turmaculus.

"We do not even know if he will perish," said Zeedil.

"He could be fine!" said Millyum hopefully.

"Without the Venom Elixir, he won't be fine. What Zeedil meant is that as soon as the venom reaches his brain, he will brake free and rampage about in the castle," said one of the Ixi

"I'll go then. Others might die," said Junior G. He looked through the window at Chakeebo. "You may be my enemy but I'll save you Chakeebo... I promise."

The Zumagorn swooped down upon Kyohara. She ran as fast as she could in a straight line. A cloud of purple gas was in front of her. She held her breath and ran right through. When she came out on the other side she breathed in. She looked over her shoulder and saw the Zumagorn on the ground. They had flown through the cloud but they breathed in.

"Ha! I got you! Who said you needed to have magical rings to kick butt?!? I AM KYRII, HEAR ME ROAR!" she yelled as loud as she could. She laughed until she heard something... It sounded like thumping against the ground. Kyohara spun around and saw something bad. Hundreds of black Hopsos and black Mortogs were bouncing closer. Their teeth were bared. Kyohara galloped and ran as fast as she could. The petpets were gaining on her. She ran and ran... but tripped!

"WOAH!" she yelled. She tripped over a root and landed on the ground. Her vision was blurred and her head was spinning. She saw something or someone scare the petpets away. The figure looked down at Kyohara. It said something to her and then she blacked out.
