NEOPIAN BAZAAR - I've never really been much of a shop-a-holic, but I've really
never had this much extra money to spend. I mean, it's just staring at me from
my bank account, taunting me to withdraw a few thousand and spend them... but
the more I try to control my craving, the harder it becomes. Finally, it's time
to give up. What am I saving those Neopoints for anyway? I withdraw a few hundred
thousand and see what it can buy me...
Seem familiar? If you have a whole ton of Neopoints to spend that you really
have no plans for, give in. In this article, I intend to outline some good outlets
of these cravings.
Neopet Makeover - If you have tons of Neopoints that aren't going anywhere,
spend them on changing your Neopet. Your average blue Usul can be made rainbow
with a use of a paint brush! But who says stop there? Why does your Neopet have
to stay an Usul anyway? Buy a morphing potion! You could buy a really expensive
morphing potion, like for a Krawk or a Draik... if you can afford it. Or you
could buy a Draik egg or a Krawk petpet and get a brand new, rare Neopet. The
possibilities are endless!
Trophy - Is there a certain trophy you're just itching to get? Then
get it! Perhaps you could read it lots of books and feed it lots of gourmet
food to get the Neopian Book Award or a Gourmet Club card! You could also invest
your NP in games that don't really payoff well (such as Gormball) but you can
still get a trophy from them. Do some Illusen or Jhudora quests, not for the
prizes but for the trophy.
Gallery - With the new Gallery Spotlight, the idea of a gallery has
entered a lot more minds lately. Buy as many items that are pink and put them
all in a gallery! It's not only for a Gallery Spotlight, but just for the sake
of having a gallery. Show off your riches with those items!
Battledome - There are tons of stuff you can do here. You could choose
to buy some codestones or dubloons to raise your Neopet. Perhaps if the slow
approach isn't your thing, the speed it up with a super negg or two. You could
also buy some really expensive Battledome equipment. Maybe a trip to the Hidden
Tower is needed? You could also stock up on Faeries and raise your Neopet's
abilities. There are some really good ones out there, you just have to be able
to afford them.
NeoHome - Nothing says 'I have NP to spare' like a well-furnished NeoHome
Not only could you choose to build one in a more expensive place like Faerieland,
you could have Royal Wallpaper, golden rooms and the Furry Sofa to match.
Cards/Stamps - I'm sure your empty stamp album your your dusty NeoDeck
are just screaming to be added on to. With the hundreds of collectable card
and Neopet stamps around, I'm sure you could have a great collection in no time.
Try a theme, for instance only Tyrannian-related cards or green stamps.
Petpets - I did this recently. Three petpets that were owned by three
of my Neopets (a Christmas Doglefox, a Snowbunny and a Tanizard) were getting
sort of boring. I replaced them with a red Babaa, a white Pinceron and a yellow
Catamara. I kept the white Donksaur though, I've grown quite attached to it.
You don't even have to replace your petpets if you've grown attached to them,
just paint them. If a petpet you own isn't available to be painted, just be
patient. They add tons of petpet colour options each week.
Lab Ray - Using the Lab Ray once a day to zap your Neopet is really
neat. Just buy nine different Secret Laboratory map pieces and you have it.
The Lab Ray can alter your Neopet's stats, colour, species or gender. You can't
be guaranteed it will work out well, but it's worth the NP I think. Of course,
I bought it all for about 10,000 NP ages ago. Those were the days...
Neopoints - Have you ever heard the saying "It takes money to make
money?" This is what I mean. Spend some NP on the Lottery, scratchcards, Keno
and some other risky games like that. You could end up getting lucky.
So who says you need to be a good little boy or girl and save up the NP? Be
sure to limit how much you spend, you don't want to lose ALL of your Neopoints,
especially in that last one. And if you don't even want to spend anything, go
right ahead. It's your choice where your Neopoints go, not mine. This is too_kule,
signing off from the Bazaar. Spend your NP wisely! Over and out.
Note: I apologize if you're poor and can hardly make ends meet. This article
really isn't for you I guess. Remember, don't beg or scam. Earn NP through games
and quests and stuff like that.
