NEOPIA CENTRAL - Okay we all know how hard it is to get that expensive paintbrush
or the adorable petpet to keep your pet company while you're away.
Well whether you are a newbie or a 5 year Neopian we've all had that time
(or are still going through it) where have only 2,000 NP in the bank. Here's
a technique I've found out after my nearly year stay. But it takes awhile. So
here's a step by step guide, follow these and you're sure to be able to dig
your way out.
Step 1: SELF CONTROL!!! I'm very sorry but if you have no self control
on NP spending, there is no way in which to get yourself out of poverty. Here
is what you do:
Step 2: THE BANK! Yay! This is probably the most important place for
your NP. Here's why.
1) No ghosts can get to it!
2) You can collect more NP if you do business everyday.
3) And heck, there's always a polite Skeith ready to help you.
Now how to store your Neo Points. Think of it as the unbreakable box, don't
touch any NP in there or your self control you've been having will go straight
down the drain! Okay say I have 2,536 NP out (You know on the yellow side bar)
I would take 1000 of that NP and deposit it into the bank, I already got 1000
saved up. Cool eh? Anyway now I have 1,536 NP and all I need to do is earn 464
more NP to deposit another 1000. Now here's how you earn it.
Step 3: Becoming Neo Point Hungry! Yes we all are scrimping around the site
hoping to have that random event " Something has happened! ladyfantasy16 found
500 Neo Points on the floor!" Well this can happen only rarely.
A). So let's PLAY YOUR SKILLS! Not only are games fun they are ways of getting
more Neo Points! Now Play your Skills. Say you won the school Spelling Bee five
times in a row, Try your luck at Spell-Or-Starve! This is located at the Virtupets
Space Station. (Just watch out I think the mutant Grundos can get grumpy.) Or
say you are so addicted to tetris, check out Gadsagame on Mystery Island. And
don't make these games feel like the nagging history paper that's gathering
dust you are avoiding while you're reading this. Make it sort of fun (Isn't
that the point of games?) like beating you're high score. (I just recently beat
my score at Destruct-O-Match Maybe soon I will get to level four!)
B). ENTER THEM CONTESTS! Nothing is more fun than trying to win those competitions.
Not only do you get a trophy if you win you get 2,000 NP! SO get creative. *Shakes
ShinoChan's Gelert Wand* I said get CREATIVE! D). And last but not least! (Those
with gambling issues don't listen!) Play games with big prizes! Wheel of Excitement
is one of my Favorites! But the only bad things about it is you can only play
every two hours and that stupid mystery prize! Grrr! Darn that Mystery Prize!
Same with Wheel of Mediocrity except the prizes are worse, and let's face it
the Flotsam enthusiasm is too much to take! Kiosk Scratch Card is okay but rarely
do you win (I don't waste my time on it)
Step 4: MY POOR NEOPET IS STARVING AND/OR HURT!! Okay for one, NEOPETS
CAN'T die! Not that it's nice to starve your pets or anything. In Fact I'm an
animal lover, but sometimes your pets will go hungry for awhile but there are
many ways to get food.
A). Here's my number one place to hit up for food! Le Grande Omelette! All
Neopets will eat the omelette and there are three servings! How cool is that?
You can only get one omelette per day but still three meals right there! For
NOTHING!
B). THE SOUP KITCHEN! This is you are really down in the dumps. Only if you
have 2,000 NP or below will you be able to eat here. The Soup Faerie is also
known as The-Know-About-All- Your-NeoPoints-Faerie! So don't even think you
can trick her! SHE HAS A LADLE SO WATCH IT!
C). BARGAINS! YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! You are most likely gonna get the stuff
you need if you hit the market place. But watch it just the other day I was
looking for some food and one item that would most likely be 100 NP in the store
was 7000 something. Always try to get some with more than one meal like a full
pizza pie! How to find these is the Shop Wizard. He's another one of your new
best friends. So keep on his good side.
D). THE HEALING FOUNTAIN Sure the Water Faerie isn't exactly one of my favorites
but sometimes she does a good job. She can get at least up to 11 hit points
up and can probably cure a pet's illness. Visit her once a day at least.
Well there you are. That's all the advice I got for you follow this and sometime
in the not too distant future you may be able to get that fancy smancy new paint
brush every Neopet with envy. Or that new carpeting for your NeoHome. Bye, I
