Boosting Your Bank Account

THE NATIONAL NEOPIAN BANK - Running low on NP? Can't seem to get your hands on those items to resell them in your shop for a hefty profit? Most of us Neopians regularly struggle to make more NP and get our pets to a higher level. I will tell you how you can do this, in multiple ways. You can then choose the one you find to be the easiest.

Your first option to boost that NP amount on the left of your screen is to play games. You aren't very good at the games, you say? Maybe you are just playing the wrong ones. I find games very profitable and with a little bit of time devoted to them each day, you can see your NP shoot up. The first game I go to every day is Pyramids. A very simple game where you choose the card just above or below the one you have drawn. Each game will cost you NP but achieving a score of 110 - 300 is the smallest of tasks in this game. That earns you a profit of at least 60 NP each play. With a maximum of 5000 NP, you can play this game whenever you get bored until you reach that max. There is about 4000 NP added to your total right there.

As soon as I hit the max on Pyramids, I'm off to the new addition of Zurroball. This game is tough to get used to at first, and the ball might go right through you clicking at times. But with a little patience, you can get 300 - 500 points in a matter of minutes. And with your score tripling, you can earn an easy 1000 NP 3 times that day. That is 3000 more NP on your total. See your working your way up there already.

After spending about 20 minutes on Zurroball to get my 3 plays for the day, I'm off to Korbats lab. This is a simple game of blasterball converted to a more modern Neopets version of it. Your score is divided by three to get your total NP with a max of 1000 per play. But don't let that get you down.

Learn your potions that drop from the boxes and don't get the ones that slow you down, or make you small. And reaching the 3000 score to max you out is the least of your problems. Do this 3 times, and you have 3000 NP more. Woah, we've already made about 10,000 more NP for the total.

The next game I head over to, has to be Meerca Chase. Everyone has played some version of this game whether its on their cellphone or on the games pack for older computers. It is simply called Snake everywhere else, and it makes for a great game. You may not be good at it, but it can still be profitable to you. On the easy difficulty, you can control it with no difficulty at all, and rack in 400 - 500 points with ease. Myself, I like to play hard to make profits higher and my tail shorter. You can score 600 points without much difficulty on hard as your tail is shorter and the red neggs are less as you get to higher totals faster. Making 600 points a game, you've added another 2000 NP to your total. That gets you to 12000 NP where you can begin the real money making.

Once you reach this 'bar' of 12000 NP, you can move on. You will need a shop to make this work. Which you can purchase for 150 NP of that, which still leaves you enough to go on if you hadn't already bought yourself one. Depending on your connection, head to certain shops to pick up some cheap items. If you have cable, DSL, or T1 head on over to these shops.

Your first stop is the magic shop on the main map. They sell everything you could ever want to jump start your Neopian Bank account. Picking up any Faerie for 700 - 900 NP can then resell in your shop for 3000 - 4500 NP. Which makes you a good 2500 NP profit, but that isn't all they have. The magic shop also sells motes for great amounts of profit. You can buy the cheaper motes for 300 - 700 NP and then resell for 1200 - 3500 NP. Then there are the expensive motes, the Ice and Lava mote are the profitable ones out of these. They buy for around 4000 - 5000 and sell for 7000 - 10000. The Bubble mote buys for about 2000 and sells for 2100, making the profit not worth your time. The last but DEFINITELY not least thing that the magic shop sells, are morphing potions. If you see a morphing potion for a limited edition, OR a uniquely colored neopet. Pick it up, they are worth more than you buy them for. But lay off morphing potions for normal Neopets, they usually aren't worth as much.

Your second stop if you can't get anything from the magic shop, would be the book shop. Any book you buy from here is going to profit you in your shop. All books sell for higher than they buy. But specifically look for books that look different, fatter, or mangled. They are usually very rare, and sell for higher than normal on the wiz. Those shops for the faster people with the high connections, and your thinking, "I have 56k, so I'm just going to be the poor Neopian all my life." Well, if that is you, there are shops for you, if you know it or not.

You can visit the battle magic shop or the defence magic shop. They restock some rarer items in higher quantities than the magic shop. Therefore there are more for you to get before they sell out. Might want to check the Wiz first, because some of the more costly items end up selling for less in your shop than you buy them. So make sure you are making the profit you want.

Also, the toy & plushie shop is great place to earn some profit. Some fast connections hang out here, but you can still pick up your share of the items. Every now and then some rare plushies will pop up that sell for 5000 + NP, and can earn you a hefty profit, this is the best place for a 56k to hang out.

Done reselling items from the shop, and you have a hefty 200,000 - 300,000 NP? Well you don't want to let it just sit, or earn 1 NP interest a day rotting in the bank. You want to be able to buy that Krawk or the thing you've always wanted that costs more than what you've got, without hanging out in shops all week. Well, Stick your money in the Stock Market If you have a lot, and wanna risk go for a stock more like TNAH that stays up 200 constantly and has its drops and pluses way up there. Or you can pick up any low share that's around 15 and wait for it to grow to 40 - 70 before it drops. BOOM is one of my favorites around that range. The Stock Market is the number 1 NP earner in all of Neopia, unless you win the buried treasure game on Krawk Island, which is highly unlikely. Keep your sitting money in the market, not in the bank, and you can watch it grow more and more. As you keep your game playing habits and shop restocking up to a maximum when you've got nothing else to do.

Whether you're a newbie and starting at the game step of this FAQ to begin your bank account. Or your big and risking it all in the market, this guide can help you keep your NP earning at a maximum and your pets at a higher level. Once you become a rich Neopian through this process or one of your own. Paint your pet, donate to the money tree, and waste away writing guides like me.
