Enough Praise of Meridell! A Warning To Meridell Fans!

by wrestlinglegendrebel

DARIGAN CITADEL - Neopia is full of fools. Face it, given all the helpful clues that have been given out, thousands are still siding with the traitorous Skarl and his group of rotten thieving soldiers. And now, many of you authors in the Neopian Times are bad mouthing the benevolent Lord Darigan, a man, so great, that his forces are named after him.

Some of you mention how in Invasion of Meridell, a memory of a previous war, the enemies look just like Darigans forces. So what? The similarity between Darigan and the Invasion of Meridell opponents is this: They've all been turned into deformed beasts by having their most prized artifact stolen by...(you guessed it) Meridell!!!

What are the two aims in Invasion Of Meridell. 1. Defeat All Enemy Soldiers 2. Steal the enemy soldiers artifact! It's there, clear for everyone to see, Meridell is a thief of artifacts. Each of the Invasion of Meridell opponents has a nice artifact to help them live their lives and make their city prosperous. So what do you do in the game? Come along, murder all of the poor soldiers who are trying to defend their artifacts, and then go steal the artifact as well. Slaughtering and Stealing, the two things Meridell stands for. Meridell also imprisoned the Draik in Escape From Meridell Castle for no reason. I bet what he was attempting was to regain the stolen orb for the great Lord Darigan in a more peaceful way by sneaking in and taking it but Meridell go and lock him up and keep him locked up with demented purple Grarrls with red evil eyes and purple mutant Korbats patrolling the area. Then there're guns to shoot at the prisoners and spikes as well.

If any of you Meridell Supporters watched the latest part of the plot you'd notice a very nice looking, handsome white Neopet, tall and smiling next to the Grarrl. That my friends and foes, is Lord Darigan, a wonderful leader who cares for his subjects and neighbours, who happily let an old wizard rest in his town and was, in return, given a special orb from that wizard to help Darigans wonderful land to prosper even more.

And why do you think Meridell didn't attack when they stole the orb? It's contrary to what one Meridell fan said, Darigans people knew nothing of war, had no soldiers and couldn't fight. It was easy for the Meridell soldiers to bully Darigan and his people into letting them steal the orb while threatening them the whole time. Darigan tried to get it back peacefully through his Draik soldier, but the soldier was imprisoned and put in a death trap by Skarl. Then Skarl orders Invasion of Meridell to be made, a game which features him and his villagers killing evil looking creatures and stealing artifacts. Skarl knew what he had done to Darigan and he made the game as a mockery of the once happy people who he had turned into monsters.

And what's wrong with the way Darigan and his supporters look? I've seen many a mutant pet around. And if you look closely, those draconian Moehogs are cute little fellas and those Drackonacks are the best petpets Neopoints could buy, my fellow Neopians, get a Drackonack for Christmas and I tell you, a Drackonack is for life, not just for Christmas If someone looks evil it's Skarl himself. What's with that awful hair? And have you ever seen a spottier Skeith or an uglier one in all your life? And that's with the orb! Imagine what he must have been like before the orb.

Skarl mentioned how his people had been ill and dying before the orb and we saw from Darigans Grarrl that the same has happened to Darigan in recent times. But did Skarl say he had known nothing of war? No, he had not. Skarl has been the cause of many wars and involved in a good few. I'm sure I remember seeing him working for Sloth in the attempt to take over the Lost Desert! Speaking of that, my sources tell me that there's a special bond between King Skarl and Frank Sloth. Rumour has it that Skarl and Sloth are partners and Skarl is going to release Sloth onto Neopia to fight for him. And if Skarl's plan worked and Meridell won then with Sloth with them, what would happen next? Skarl and Sloth would go try to take over Neopia as Sloth has before.

And as a tribute to the great Lord Darigan and his men, I would like to suggest to Neopets that they release a Draconian Paint Brush so we can all have pets that look like Darigans great, noble army of Moehogs, Skeiths, Grarrls, etc. It would be the perfect Christmas present for many.

Draconia (as I reckon it was called) was once a peaceful land like Meridell is now. It had previously been nice enough but having bad harvest, the gracious Lord Darigan allowed an old wizard to rest in his humble castle while he spent the night on an uncomfortable old sofa. In return for Darigans kindness, the wizard gave Darigan and Draconia a present. It was a magical orb. The Orb made the harvest grow, made the Draconians forget of all sickness and sorrow they had had before(they had never known of war) and transformed Draconia into an even nicer place. At the same time, Meridell was a dirty place full of sick, ugly Neopets and treacherous robbers. The biggest robber in Meridell was called Skarl. Fed up of his own castle being smaller than he wished(not caring for his people, just himself), Skarl sent his vicious, bullying soldiers to find some way to improve Skarl's lifestyle. While Draconia lived peacefully and happily. The evil soldiers searched until they came across a seer. After bribing the seer with a bribe they'd never pay, the soldiers discovered the orb and were quick to go to Draconia and steal it. The Draconians were helpless and were too scared by the weapons of the Meridell soldiers to try to defend their orb. The soldiers, who hadn't needed to fight despite the fact that they had wished to, stole the orb and left. Meridell had been cursed but when they received the orb, the curse moved over to Draconia and for some reason, maybe because Draconia had failed to notice the rest of the world during their orb time, the curse increased and turned Draconia into a barren wasteland full of hideous monsters.

Years later, Darigans best men find the orb in Meridell and they send Darigans fastest soldier, who hasn't changed, to reclaim the orb peacefully. However, the Draik is caught by Meridell and they accuse him of plotting against them while he was only coming for what was rightfully his. The Draik was locked up in Meridell Death Trap of a dungeon. Seeing his fastest soldier imprisoned, Lord Darigan gave up on reclaiming his orb peacefully and sent soldiers to do the thing the great Lord Darigan had dreaded... start a war.

This my fellow Neopians is exactly what has happened leading up until now. Many Meridell liars will tell you otherwise but they are just trying to keep you on their side. I urge you all, defect to Darigan's side. Before Skarl gets away with a crime that was never forgotten.
