A Neopian's Guide to the Wars

by alex___2001

TYRANNIA - The battlefield of the first Neopian Land War... on the 26 of April, 2001 the Tyrannian Land War officially started with the arrival of 100,000 Korbat Invaders bent on destroying Neopia. This war was fun, challenging and profitable for everyone who participated in it. Surprisingly, only a month later, yet another war was started with the arrival of another new world...The Lost Desert. The infamous Dr. Sloth had come to Sakhmet to take over but he was challenged by many Neopians who fought bravely to defend their home. Here is some General Information about Wars:

A War usually occurs during a large plot and always seems to include Dr Sloth in some way or another. Some of you may argue against this because you say Sloth had nothing to do with the Tyrannian invasion. Think again, these are the final words heard by Neopians after the Monoceraptor fell: "That puny creature of mine has failed... but Neopia has not yet seen the last of me... I will return... oh yes... I will return." It is highly likely that these are the words of Dr. Sloth himself. Only a month later Sloth returned and took over Sakhmet. This time, there were different Challengers to face and more rewards to reap.

A war is profitable for anyone who fights in the Battledome and maybe a few of those who simply stocks up on BD items and Codestones. In the Sakhmet Land War you would receive 5,000 NP for defeating a single Grundo Trooper! (Although this was not something that compiled... if you could defeat a challenger from a certain level of difficulty, you were given a set amount of Neopoints. No matter how many of them you defeat) Anyone who fights in Land Wars also receives a trophy for their User lookup. But beware! Land Wars also have their downsides. BD Weapon and Codestone prices skyrocket (but that may be good for those who have stockpiled them before the War. Hint. Hint) and all other one-player opponents are Non-Accesible for the duration of the war. Which means you cant rely on the Chia Clown for Healing. Other than that Wars make for some great fun and challenging BD fights. When all opponents are defeated (or when the Neopets Team decides it's just time), out comes the War Boss. Don't let its insanely massive HP frighten you, because you're not fighting this alone. Everyone's trying to bring this thing down one slash at a time. Here is some specific information about the Two Land Wars:

*I am starting to believe there was no limit on challengers in this War. This has not been confirmed or denied on any basis. This is simply a theory of mine based on information I have collected

From this you see that The War over Sakhmet and Tyrannia was challenging. We are headed into another time if War. The current plot is leading us to something... maybe by now this devastating event has already started, maybe not. But we must not forget about the past because we shall learn from our previous errors if we understand the history of the last two Wars.
