I walked into the Neopian Police Station accompanied
by my Tonu and my Peophin. It was a big room but it was empty except for an
Acara sitting behind a Marble Desk. Several doors led out of the room, to places
I had no idea what they were.
"Welcome to the Neopian Prison, how may I help
you?" the Acara said sounding just like a variety store clerk.
"Hi...could you please get officer Marcie-Vella
the Chia? She was the one responsible for arresting that Grundo," I told
her. She left the room and came back shortly after accompanied by the Chia.
"Um...officer, there's been some mistake. The
Grundo you arrested earlier is my Neopet, and one of my Neopets would never
break the law," I told her a little harsher than I hoped.
"We have proof, that your Grundo commited the
crime. A video camera in the bank showed us that at approximately 1:30 in the
morning a silver Grundo walked into the Neopian Bank. She asked for the vault
of...a Neopian named M.V., that's all we're know. The Skeith there directed
her to the vault, and a couple minuted later an alarm went off. Alarms only
go off if a vault has been broken into," she said.
"So? Maybe there was someone else in the bank!
And anyway, there has to be hundreds of silver Grundos in Neopia. How do you
know it was GalaxyNebula?"
"First, the Grundo ran away carrying thousands
of Neopoints. Us police, chased the Grundo until she was forced to drop the
Neopoints to run away faster. Secondly, we have reports of every Neopian. The
reports show us that she has a pink Warf that she takes everywhere. A pink Warf
followed the thief into the bank and out of the bank."
"But--"
"But nothing! Your Grundo is locked up now. She'll
remain locked up unless someone can prove us wrong," she said bitterly.
"Fine! I'll go home and prove you wrong!" I yelled
at her, and then I stormed out followed by my other two Neopets.

We were sitting around our Classic Dining Table that had a Scorchy Notebook
and a Pencil of the Light Faerie on it. The notebook had the word 'CLUES' written
at the top. We had to figure out how GalaxyNebula got into jail, she just couldn't
be guilty. We thought in silence for about fifteen minutes until GoldenRhino
finally broke the silence.
"TK, you know, it could be possible she's guilty."
"Yeah," SilverEmerald chimed in, "We haven't
known her for too long. It's possible...that she was just putting on an act
with all of that kindness!"
I was about to argue back but I stopped myself.
Could it be possible that GalaxyNebula robbed the Neopian Bank? Could it be
possible she was just faking all that kindness? All my thoughts were broken
up when we heard a knocking at the door.
"Who could that be?" SilverEmerald asked as we
ran to the door. I opened it to find a package was left on the front step. A
Police Chia (clearly the one who left the package) was getting back into his
cruiser.
"Open it! Open it!" GoldenRhino cried excitedly.
"OK, hold on a second," I said while bending
down to pick it up. But before I got to it, it ripped open! Well actually, it
didn't rip itself open, Bubblegum who was inside did! It jumped out and started
licking my face.
"Woah, woah boy!" I cried as Bubblegum layered
spit all over my face.
"There's a note!" cried GoldenRhino. He picked
it up and handed it to me. I handed Bubblegum to him, and wiped Warf drool off
my face. I picked up the note and read it over.

"Hmph, like I'm going to have good day! My Neopet
was just locked up, and I'm having the time of my life over here!" I said, with
sarcasm dripping off every word.
"Hey, now what should we---I'VE GOT IT! TK, it
just came to me! The vault that was robbed, the initials were M.V.! Do you know
what that stands for? Malkus Vile!" SilverEmerald yelled.
"Hey that's right! But who cares if the initials
stand for Malkus Vile. What does it mean?" GoldenRhino managed to ask while
his face was being licked like crazy by Bubblegum.
"Don't you get it? He knows the combination to
his vault, he could have told it to another silver Grundo with a pink Warf to
get GalaxyNebula arrested!" he exclaimed.
"Maybe...but why? He just doesn't go around picking
random Neopets and framing them. He'd have to have a motivation," I said.
"Good point...he's not concerned with getting
Neopets arrested, he's concerned with big things like stealing dead king's crowns,"
GoldenRhino added.
"OK, we know Malkus Vile is behind this--"
"No we don't SilverEmerald. It could be Malkus
Vile but it's not likely. We really don't know.
"Well you can at least write it down," SilverEmerald
said. So we ran into the kitchen and on the Scorchy Notebook I wrote: M.V.
could stand for Malkus Vile.
"OK, now what?" GoldenRhino asked.
"Well...we don't know anything except for a few
guesses. I know! We can go to the Neopian Bank. We can ask the Skeith there
a couple questions as well as search for clues."
"Great idea TK! Let's go!" exclaimed GoldenRhino.
