Codestones... What are they? by azurerayen | |
MYSTERY ISLAND - I was recently interested in the article about Ryshu, the
Mystery Island's master in martial arts. I read he was hoarding codestones under
the floorboards of the training school. I wasn't interested in Ryshu, but the
Codestones. Where did they all come from in the first place? It took me a few
weeks, but I finally decided…I determined that I should go to investigate...
So, I went to Mystery Island, leaving my NeoPets with my best friend, figuring
it'd only be an afternoon leave. When I got there I headed directly to the training
school. I must have looked serious 'cause everyone was staring at me as I walked.
When I arrived, my watch flashed 7:49:47 AM NST.
The training school was still closed… Ryshu was still out doing his daily tasks,
visiting the Tiki Tack Man and whoever else he visits. I found that a good thing,
feeling I had a chance to poke around…
Immediately I went right around the back of the building, and climbed up the
slick bamboo fence. Before climbing over into the training grounds, I took a
quick look around to see if anybody was around. With that quick glance, I noticed
in one of the mountain like rocks, the one with the Techo head on it had an
archway carved on the side of it. I jumped over the fence and ran to it. The
'doorway' looked like it had been there for centuries. The thing was I had been
to the training school a multiple of times and never noticed the hole. Looking
inside it was dark and dusty like an abandoned cavern…I decided to go in…
Inside, I was shut in by a pile of rocks… I heard Ryshu around, muttering that
he thought he saw someone. He soon left, for everything went quiet again. There
I noted some codestones on the floor… and a big granite panel that looks like
a codestone holder. I realised this was exactly like Codebreakers…
and I was the worst when it came to that game!
For some reason, I knew exactly what to do. I picked up the codestones and
started butting them in the holes trying to figure which hole held what stone.
Soon it became late, I knew so because my watch flashed 6:00
PM NST. I had tried just about every combination I could think of
till at last, I got it right…
The codestones started shaking and glowing a funny greenish colour. All over
the walls writing started appearing. At first I couldn't read it, but then I
realised that if you switch them around a bit they made a language. I pulled
out a notepad I had brought and then started sketching them as fast and as detailed
as I could. I was really excited, for they looked like a language I had read
in a book about an ancient tribe of NeoPets. I decided it had been late enough
and I could visit again. I pushed all the rocks blocking the exit aside and
stepped out side…when I did so the rocks started shaking and sealed the exit
closed.
I've never been able to get back in… I, of course, told Ryshu
about this and he's still trying to figure it out as well. I, indeed, have found
out that the Codestone's symbols are an alphabet. I also have found that when
you translate a name into the language that you can determine a person's personality,
because the, possibly once existing, "ancient ones", made it so when making
a name in the language, it should represent a emotion, an animal, a colour,
and a natural or metaphysical element, or so I read. I have tested this out
on several people, you know just for fun, so far rarely failing to prove this
theory right. Codestones could unlock, to us, an ancient civilisation, though
it's not likely. In any case, the question still lingers in my mind: Is there
more to codestones than we think? |
