GAMES ROOM - Yes, after many days of clicking that little mouse, hearing that
pathetic sound that tries to make it creepy whenever Dr. Sloth's Carnival
Of Terror loads, endless nights of pondering and analysing, I have discovered
how to get a pretty high score, yes, my high score is presently 599... it has
been the fruits of my labour. And so we start...
Psyching Yourself Into Action!
All right... now... close your eyes... you're feeling very sleepy... now...
stop thinking that those clowns as... well, clowns. It's all part of a scheme
by Dr Sloth to make you feel, well, hysterical when you see those cute, little
"dangerous" robots. And what do you do when you laugh? Your aiming goes waaaaayyyy
off... even out of the game screen. Now, just think that under that cute, little
clowny armour that they wear, is a heart-okay, program to force-feed you with
deadly cream pies (I... have discovered traces of urea in them) and the fact
that they want to take all your Neopoints... all right... feel like Terminator
now? Whoa? **Hangs on to reader** Cool it! I guess I touched a raw nerve there...
Points Structure
All right! On to the basics. I rate it on a scale of 5 to 1 stars.
Pie o death:
Do you understand the words important? Good. Now double that, and that's the
amount of importance it requires. Dude/Dudette, it's worth 5 points and a life
(which you have in abundance) By all means shoot it into oblivion!!! (Actually,
it's only four pieces... guess the creators couldn't find a way to disintegrate
it) Rates: 5 stars
Robot arm:
Now... this is your money-maker. It's the second highest point rating, and
it comes out like... two in one robot. Dear reader, this is a spot not to be
missed! Even if you think you can't hit the one not facing you, JUST HIT ONE!!!!!!
Got it? Rates: 5 stars
Umbrella:
Okay... pretty good... but it's kinda hard to hit, understand? It goes pretty
fast, and when the Chia reaches the ground, it disappears, wasting a bullet
when you shoot at it. Three points though... if you can hit it, fine. If not,
who cares? Rates: 2 stars
Robot head:
Ahh... yes... the head... most of the time the most important part in shoot-em-up
games. However, that is not the case here. Blam! And when you blast it, it merely
pops off (sadistically fun!!! Hehehe... just kidding) to reveal a bandage-wrapped
brain (at least I think so). Two points though. Quite worth your time. Rates:
2 stars
Robot Legs:
One point, I know... but that equals a quick death for Para-robots. Plus,
if you want to get a good score, try shooting its legs to give you time to shoot
its arms. But remember, the robot will be pretty fed up crawling around and
will self-destruct if you don't destroy it quickly enough. Rates: 2 stars
Robot Body/ Robot Skeleton:
The most dumb, and lousy things in the game, as it only gives you one point,
and it kills the bot immediately. It's best if you shoot this last as this will
finish him off, as I said. Rates:1 star
The ammo boxes, health boxes and time clocks.
These give you extremely large help in the way that one Ammo Box gives you
twenty shots, a health box one life and a time clock more time.
Stratagems that are most commonly used
The Madman's way of firing:
Essentially, this is also referred to in Singapore as the "Anyhow Shoot Method".
That means that the person who is playing it, just fires like a madman, not
even taking time to aim. It makes u run outta ammo very quickly, and you don't
have to privilege to see them die (okay! Just kidding) But this is a pretty
stupid method, so never use it. Rates: 1 star
The "There Are No Friends" philosophy of firing:
This is the one quite commonly used by people as whenever they see anything,
Bang! Okay, but you mostly miss the chance to get points from their body parts.
Rates: 3 Stars
The "Total Destruction" way of firing:
This one is for those who want Neopoints and for those who want to exhibit
their power as you shoot the body parts one by one. My preferred method is to
shoot the umbrella, then the arm, then the head, then the legs, the other arm
and finally the head or body. Rates: 4-5 stars
That's pretty much the end of my guide, and remember that you cannot be a
super scorer during the first time you play it, as this game takes a lot of
patience and practice. Carnival Of Terror is great way to earn NP as every point
you earn gives you one neopoint. And if there's any questions, feel free to
Neomail me and if I can see it, I may Neomail you back some of my newer strategies. |
