How To Save Money On Weapons II: Battledome Equipment Sets by linchen | |
Hi everybody, if you like to have a friendly match with a friend or a 1-player
battle, then read on. You may have long forgotten my previous article, but this
is an article that tells you what you should do after you've gotten the better
weapons. My last article was about which weapons are a waste of Neopoints, and
this guide will still tell you about a few Neopoint-wasting weapons, but it
mainly helps you to get a better set of equipment for your pet.
This first part is for beginners with Neopoints below 50,000 NP, so if you
have been playing for a while and have more than 100,000 NP to spend on weapons,
then skip this.
Beginner Set (Hitpoints below 15)
1. yellow snowball
2. fire snow
3. improved lightning beam/mad clock
4. dirty snow
5. slime potion/bronze Scorchstone
6. frost cannon
7. downsize power plus
8. caustic potion
As you can see, this set is for beginners and includes basically what beginner
battlers need. You may be wondering why this includes four attack weapons, when
you can only use two per round! It is always better to have a variety of attacks,
in case your opponent has a weapon that defends against exactly the type of
your attack; otherwise, you can only wait for your defeat. An example will be
if your opponent used a radioactive and fire snow, which defends against light
and fire, and you only have two improved lightning beams equipped. You wouldn’t
do much damage then, would you? Bottled snows defend two types of icons, and
can do a fairly good amount of damage. Why use a Silver Scorchstone to defend
against three types of attacks, when you can defend against four and attack
as well? Freezing items are quite out of your reach right now, so you may want
to try a snowglobe staff, but what if the staff breaks for the battle instead
of freezing your opponent? A frost cannon should be a good choice, since it
attacks and has a chance of freezing every time you use it.
Intermediate Set
1. exploding snowball
2. grand lightning beam
3. attack fork/ice dagger
4. radioactive snow
5. healing scorchstone
6. downsize power plus
7. green sticky hand
8. hypno helmet
This is a more expensive set of weapons for intermediate battlers. This set
includes more weapons that defend as well as attack, like the ice dagger, which
can do up to three water and three physical icons, while it is also one of the
rare few that defend against physical attacks! In my previous article, I stated
that the grand lightning beam (GLB) was a waste of Neopoints, but through more
investigation, I suggest you get one of these instead of a wand of the Air Faerie
(WAF). The WAF can do up to six of two types of icons, but it often just does
four. However, the GLB nearly always does five icons, and sometimes even six.
A good freezing item is essential now, so you'd better get a hypno helmet, but
if you don’t battle often, maybe you should just get a cheaper terror stone
for every battle. As you battle more, you will find out that your opponent often
has better weapons than you, so use your sticky hand and you may just steal
their scorchstone!
Neopoints-Wasting Weapons:
1.Weapons that do a constant six icons: snow flame, tiki amulet, rod of ummagine,
etc.
These weapons are all very rare, which means they cost more than they are worth.
Why buy a tiki amulet that costs around 300,000 NP, when a GLB might do the
same damage and cost below 30,000 NP?
2.Black and rainbow frost cannon:
Black and rainbow frost cannons may have a better chance of freezing, but they
both cost more than 50,000 NP, and do a maximum of five icons. So buy a green
frost cannon instead! Although the green frost cannon has less chance of freezing,
it will do four icons and sometimes five, and cost way less than the black and
rainbow frost cannons. So, buy a frost cannon for now, and save up for a hypno
helmet.
3. Thyora's tear:
This rare weapon is one use per battle, and it should do the same as a downsize
power plus (DPP). DPP costs a few hundred neopoints, but that tear costs more
than one million! If you don’t battle more than five times a day, then you may
want to just buy a DPP for every battle.
That’s all for now. I hope you find my article useful. If you have any more
doubts about your set of weapons, feel free to neomail me. |
