The Legend Never Dies: Part Six

by Flamemane_2000

Pharoah jumped off of me quickly, and ran to the side of the metallic road. He did what he was supposed to do, then came back to me. "I feel much better now..."

I let Ivory and Urawa off my back, then stood up. "Sheesh... I just can't get used of this." Urawa looked up at me with cold eyes, but I spoke first. "Tell me what side you're on."

Urawa continued the glare. "I told you already. Yours."

"Then what was that when you held the sword to me, helped Taricha sap power from me, and harmed me?"

Urawa angered. "I told you, Drange!!! I'm supposed to be on his side, so I had to play along in his game!! Now he knows I'm not on his team... now he'll be out to destroy me... as he is to you all."

I stared at him for a moment, then looked away. "I have to get my body back. Who knows what havoc Taricha will wreak in my body?" Ivory nodded. "That's right. Since everyone knows you are supposed to be an ally of good, they'll all trust Taricha since he looks like you now. He'll be taking advantage of that..."

Urawa looked to the darkening skies. "Looks like it's getting to be nightfall. We should rest somewhere safe for the night, then go on the search in the daytime." I nodded, and we went looking for a safe place to sleep. We traveled for about 30 minutes until we found the perfect place. There was a huge waterfall there, and a large area of grassy ground. Near us was a small village, but it seemed as if the villagers didn't mind if we slept nearby.

After about one more hour, the sun had fully disappeared, and the moon was on patrol in the skies, with its allies, the stars surrounding it. I sat on the damp ground, thinking. Urawa, Ivory, and Pharoah had already fallen asleep on the grounds near me.

I just couldn't sleep. I had too much things on my mind. Too many questions. How will I get my body back? Will I survive this adventure? How are the kids, Pharoah, and Ivory doing? What is my brother doing? What is Taricha plotting? Will I ever defeat Taricha and bring peace back to the land?

There was just too much. I put my head back, and watched the stars. A beautiful breeze was flowing through the passage where we slept. I closed my eyes, relaxed, but almost as soon as I had done that, I heard a loud bang.

I quickly opened them, and the sound had waken up both Urawa and Ivory. Pharoah was still sleeping, and muttering something to himself. "No, Mommy... I wanna' ride the Peophin..!" I stepped up to him, and smacked him a few times, trying to wake him up, but instead, he swatted at me in his sleep. "Mommy, no! I don't wanna' go to school today! I wanna' ride the PEOPHIN!!!!!!"

I growled, and shook Pharoah wildly, finally waking him up. He widened his eyes, and looked around surprised. "What! What! What did I miss!? What happened?!?" I rolled my eyes and turned around, only to witness a fire not too far away from us. It was in the village nearby!! Urawa and Ivory were spectating the event while it happened. Urawa clenched his fists. "Kinsengh!!"

We all looked strangely at him. I spoke up first, confused. "Kinsengh??"

Urawa looked back at me, and loosened his fists. "The town... its name is Kinsengh. We have to go save it, come on!!" He ran quickly toward the town, while Ivory and I followed in flight, again leaving Pharoah behind.

We arrived at the scene to see all the houses in flames, and inferno everywhere. Soon, Pharoah caught up behind us, huffing and panting. "You guys know I don't have wings, so stop doing that!!" Urawa was standing not too far away, in front of me. His fists were again clenched, and he was looking around with fear and anger in his eyes both at the same time. I could sense sadness in him, too.

I leaped over to him, and growled. "Who did this?! Let's move it, Urawa! We have to hurry!" Urawa nodded, and we both split up and looked around the village frantically. It didn't take long for me to notice a large jet plane flying overhead with a rather loud engine blaring. I then took my eyes down from looking at the plane and turned them to the center of the town, where I saw my body holding one of the villagers by the neck.

Instead of the normal silver belt, white cape, uniform, boots, vest, and gloves that I always wore, Taricha had replaced it all. He was wearing a solid black cape with a red Chinese dragon imprinted on it, golden diamond gloves, a black and yellow uniform, and black boots with the same Chinese dragon from the cape imprinted on their sides.

"TARICHA!!!" I sped over to him, and tackled him, knocking him to the ground, and the defenseless villager out of his grip. I swiftly stood up, and soon Urawa came running over to me. "It was you... you did this, Taricha!!!"

Taricha looked to both of us with his evil eyes staring right into ours, and smirked evilly. "Yes, and it was quite enjoyable as well." He then laughed, and sprung to his feet.

He looked to Urawa. "Ah yes! It is you, Urawa! The traitor himself! What a shame I will have to destroy you now. A traitor of the great Taricha does not deserve a chance to exist. So I shall carry out the punishment right now!"

He grasped my sword from the sheath, which had also been replaced. Now it was a large-bladed sword with a black handle, and the blade was silver with the same symbol on it that I saw in the chamber where Taricha had switched bodies with me.

He swung the sword around, and chuckled. "Much better than the old one I burnt." I widened my eyes. "BURNT?!" He looked up at me, and smirked mischievously. "Yeah, burnt! The old sword you used to use was too weak! So I threw it in the furnace, and burnt it! Got a problem with that?"

"As a matter of fact, I do!!" I charged at Taricha, and Urawa seemed to be waiting for me to do this, as he did the same. Taricha jumped up, and avoided us, then kicked us both to the ground, and landed beside our heads. He was about to stab the sword through me when I rolled to the side, and stood up. Urawa flew upwards, then came down on Taricha with a Grand Lightning Beam that seemed to paralyse him for a while.

I looked at the evil sword in the mechanical belt on my waist that I once saw Taricha carrying. Now that I was in his body, it was on my waist. I thought to myself. What if this is a cursed sword? What if it destroys me with one touch?

I looked up at the recovered Taricha who was blasted again by Urawa with another Grand Lightning Beam. Urawa looked over to me. "USE IT!! HE'LL RECOVER SOON, AND I'M RUNNING OUT OF GRAND LIGHTNING BEAMS!! HURRY!!"

I nodded, clenched my teeth together, and bravely pulled the sword from the belt, and in an instant, slashed Taricha's back with it. He roared in pain, and glared at me. "I-I'll be back!!!" He spread his wings... rather, my wings... and flew off in retreat. I had found my body... but hadn't recovered it...
