Krawps Q & A

by grahamkq1

The newest game is always the newest rage in Neopia! Krawps is that very game! Krawps is a betting game, played with dice, and a board. Let's take a closer look at the greatest game for pirates. This complex-looking game can be simplified and explained, just like I have done for you here!

The Setup
On the top of the board you have 6 numbers: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. These can only be bet on AFTER a skull appears (your first role if it isn't a 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12), and you cannot bet on the skull number. You can only win these if you roll BEFORE the skull number is rolled a second time. Underneath those on the right, you have the 'Ardway section, which is a place to bet on doubles: 2 & 2, 3 & 3, 4 & 4, and 5 & 5. These doubles must be rolled before your 7 or you lose. Underneath those, you have the Hi/Lo betting. You bet on these in you think your NEXT roll will add up to be 12 or 2. In the middle of the board, you have Anchor. These are the 7 numbers you win on: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 12. If you roll even only 1 of the numbers before a 7, you win, but it must be on the NEXT turn. Any other number and you lose. Underneath Anchor is your best friend. Bilgeline is where you place your first bet. NO other bets can be played first. If you roll a 7 before you have a skull, or after you skull disappears, you win! Under this is the Odds, which is you bet more money on your Bilgeline after the skull is up there.

The Chances
The main reason I wrote this article, is so you won't make silly mistakes.

Watch:

To roll a total of 2 is 2 out of 36 ways the dice CAN end up. The 36 ways to roll a dice can be seen at the end of the article. It is written like this: 2/36. It's a horrible chance. 14/36 is the best chance you can have.

Here is my table:

Winning # (s) Chances Where to bet at Requirements
7
6/36
Bilgeline
None
4 or 10
3/36
Numbers
Bilgeline & Skull
5 or 9
4/36
Numbers
Bilgeline & Skull
6 or 8
5/36
Numbers
Bilgeline & Skull
Hi/Lo (12/2)
2/36
Hi/Lo
Bilgeline
Not 5, 6, 7, or 8
14/36
Anchor
None
Doubles 2-5
10/36
'Ardway
Bilgeline

These chances are ONLY if you rolled one time. The chances of WINNING an actual bet (Doubles for example) are even worse. You must roll a 10/36 chance before a 6/36 chance. The real chance for WINNING Doubles is 5/108, which is a really bad chance. Bilgeline is bad too, and it's the first bet you must bet! You must roll a 6/36 roll right away, or roll a number twice, then a 7. Your best chances of winning even Bilgeline are 25/7776, which is just as bad! You usually want to bet on Anchor and Bilgeline if you want to win money.

Now you know the risks and mathematical chances of winning Krawps. Now you now how to get rich on the newest rage! Or maybe it won't be such a rage, with its hard winnings?

The 36 ways a dice can end up when rolled (First Die, Second Die)

(1,1) (2,1) (3,1) (4,1) (5,1) (6,1)
(1,2) (2,2) (3,2) (4,2) (5,2) (6,2)
(1,3) (2,3) (3,3) (4,3) (5,3) (6,3)
