I'd like to start off by saying that this is not one of those crazy conspiracy
theories. This is advice on how to make a ton of NP, stock your NeoDeck,
and eat well for life. It's very simple advice: Visit the igloo garage sale
at least once an hour!!!
Some might ask, why? After all, most of the time the igloo
has nothing but overpriced Tick Tack merchandise and Space PetPets. However,
if you come during restock time, you can find an abundance of huge bargains.
These can be broken up into a few categories:
Food: One of the best parts of the igloo is the cheap food. You can
get 25 NP items for 10 or less. Foods selling in the hundreds on the Shop Wizard
are often half of that or even better. Getting food from the igloo can break
up the boredom of eating omelettes and soup without lightening your wallet.
Sometimes you can even find rare, expensive food for next to nothing. I once
got a 5000 NP Strawberry Delight Aisha Cake for only 237 NP. Patience with the
igloo can often net you more than a day's worth of game playing.
Warning: Some foods are not a bargain! Some are about the same as the
normal price, and some are higher! A good way to avoid the trap of buying overpriced
food is to learn to identify the cheapest foods quickly, so that you know what
some possible traps are worth. If you aren't sure about value, you shouldn't
buy anything over 75-150 NP unless you're willing to take the loss if you get
stuck.
Cards: Another nice thing about the igloo is that it stocks lots of
collectable cards, most of which are below the going rate. Any collector looking
to flesh out their deck should definitely check out the igloo once in a while.
If you're looking for a particular card, but it isn't worth 750 NP to you, keep
an eye on the igloo. You can often get what you're looking for at half price!
See the warning above, it applies here as well!
Miscellaneous: This category covers everything from Battledome items
to Usuki sets. I usually avoid these, but if you know you're getting a bargain,
go for it!
Junk: As the name implies, these should be avoided at all costs. They
are all far overpriced, and generally a waste of space. Some common offenders
are Diddler, Wheelie, Pinceron, Bottles of Sand, Palm Fan, and Official Coconut
Mask. Don't buy any of these if you see them! If you have some strange desire
to have bottles of sand, you can get hundreds of them for the prices the igloo
charges!
In closing, I'd like to remind you of the three rules of igloo shopping:
Know the general values of as many items as possible.
If you don't know the value and don't want to gamble, don't buy anything
over 15-150 NP.
Never buy Space PetPets or Tick Tack merchandise.
Good luck, and happy bargaining! |
