Making Money on NeoPets Without Risking it All by quicksilverstarshine | |
Everyone on NeoPets wants to be rich. Money = items, and items = indulgence.
And seeing 1 million Neopoints in your bank account feels great. But, it seems
like everyone has more money than you, and your not the best at games, so what
to do?
Open a shop. Most people use shops as a way to get rid of unwanted items, but
since Flash games don’t really work on my computer, it's my best source of income.
Step 1: Create a shop. Pick a shopkeeper (e.g. Mister Shankly), and
catchy names and descriptions. Put pictures in if you want, but I would limit
yourself to 2 or 3, as more than that is annoying. And avoid music and backgrounds
– it can be annoying and make your shop take longer to load, discouraging visitors.
Step 2: Stock up. I do this 1-4 times a day. I don’t buy things up at
normal prices to sell them, though. I go to the Snowager once a day, same with
Tombola, and they are great ways to get items free. Same with Coltzan’s Shrine.
I’ve gotten Neggs, plushies, paint brushes, faeries, and Battledome items off
these guys. But what about getting items when they aren’t free?
The garage sale is usually good. I also like to wait around the shops until
restock times. Kauvara’s and the chocolate factory are best, but you have to
know prices, or you could loose Neopoints. The food shop is good to, as food
is very expensive on the wizard.
You can also get great deals on the wizard. I have bought 1,000 Neopoint plushies
for as low as 200 Neopoints at times. Pick an item (codestone, plushie, faerie,
anything) and keep doing searches on the Wizard until you find a REALLY low
price for the item. Then buy it, fast, before someone else gets it.
Now move the items into your shop.
Step 3: Price competitively. Do three or four searches on the wizard
and find the lowest price for an item in your shop. Then undercut that price
by 2-50 Neopoints, depending on the value of the item. The greater the price
of the item, the lower your prices can be then theirs and still make a profit.
Step 4: Sit back and wait. I like to go scout around for more deals,
do the Faerie
Crossword, or play with my pet. After half an hour, go back, and most
of the items will be gone. If not, lower your prices a little. Go to you shop
till and with draw the Neopoints you made. I typically like to withdraw round
numbers (1,000 or 100) as they are easier to handle. Put half of the money in
your bank account, and return to step 2.
It’s a tough world out there, but with some work and competitive pricing, you
can go far. |
