Few Neopians aren't familiar with the Terror Mountain terror, the Snowager.
He lives deep within the mountain's Ice Caves, guarding a huge stash of... stuff.
In this special report, we'll try to get up close and personal with the miserly
snow worm himself! Now to our reporters.
Alleiren: Thank you. This report is brought to you by Neocola and by Kacheek
Telecommunications. I'm Alleiren the blue Lupess, and these are my brothers,
AnubisVIIII (the white Lupe) and Armarauq (the yellow one). Today we're going
to get the dirt on the Snowager in hopes of increasing awareness of both the
pile of stuff he guards and the potential danger.
Armarauq: That is, if Anubis and Alleiren don't kill each other first.
Alleiren: -_- Very funny.
Anubis: We have with us Dervetta the Cybunny, who has successfully stolen several
Neggs from the Snowager's pile. Dervetta, when do you do your Negg-snatching?
Dervetta: The Snowager sleeps from 1 to 2 P.M. NST and at other times as well,
but that's the most convenient time for me to slip in there.
Alleiren: Would you say the Snowager is a deep sleeper?
Dervetta: No, he's a very light sleeper so you've got to be extremely careful.
If he wakes up (which I've never experienced), it could result in something
extremely nasty.
Armarauq: What advice would you give to those who want to steal things from
the Snowager?
Dervetta: Caution. If he moves AT ALL, your best bet is to get out of there,
no matter what.
Moments later...
Alleiren: We're now entering the Ice Caves. The Snowager appears to be awake
at the moment, so we'll see what we can find out about him from the locals.
[approaches local Chia] What influence does the Snowager have on life in the
Caves?
Chia: [stares at Alleiren] Are you going to eat me?
Alleiren: [rolls her eyes] No.
Chia: Good. Well, everyone in the caves has nothing but respect for the Snowager...
And fear. We always try to steer clear of him, but some of the braver pets will
try to pilfer something once in a while. The last time someone tried, the Snowager
froze her solid... [shudders] From what I hear, she's just starting to thaw
out and the incident happened last month.
Anubis: Uh... Thanks. [walks over to a local Shoyru] What happens to the Snowager's
victims?
Shoyru: Usually they've been frozen solid and are sent to Neopia Central Hospital
right away. Then they're put on life support and taken to the Lost Desert to
thaw out. In special cases, they have to be exposed to a certain amount of heat
radiation because they've been frozen so thoroughly.
Armarauq: So you see, the Snowager is extremely dangerous. [smiles] Fortunately,
we have some shields that will deflect his power if he attacks, courtesy of
the very Scorchio who invented them, Elseth Dorangis. (Yes, she IS related to
Morax Dorangis of NeoQuest.)
Anubis: It seems the Snowager has fallen asleep, so now's the time to make
our move. Don't try this at home, kids! [the three Lupes approach the Snowager]
Alleiren: Man, talk about a whopper Negg collection! There's an Evil Negg,
Faerie Queen Negg... And there's a utility fish of some sort. Wonder how that
got here.
[the Snowager moves slightly]
Anubis: [grabs a Rainbow Negg] Okay, let's get out of here.
[the Lupes start to leave]
Snowager: [groans] Drop the Negg...
Anubis: Did that thing just say something?
Snowager: Drop the Negg...
Anubis: Huh?
Snowager: [gets up] I said drop the Negg! NOW! [blasts ice at the reporters]
Alleiren: [holds up shield] TAKE THAT! [the ice is reflected at the Snowager]
Armarauq: So you see, even a simple news report can be turned into an adventure.
Alleiren: And since most of you don't have these shields, confront the Snowager
with extreme caution.
