Grinning wildly, CJ (aka "makes_no_sense") handed the Spotted Kiko
35, 000 NP for the Attack Fork she has always dreamed of. Running home to 11538
Faerie Island... she burst through the door of her tiny home, startling her
four NeoPets...
"What? What happened?" BluePuffOfSmoke, her Rainbow Acara asked... his voice
groggy.
"I just bought an attack fork... isn't that great?" CJ grinned... holding
up the red shiny fork.
NeoChia692 secretly rolled his eyes "That's great... you'll probably give it
to bully19 over there," the Mutant Kiko huffily replied, pointing at the sleeping
White Uni.
CJ looked at NeoChia692... giving him a confused face "What are you talking
about?"
"I mean," he started, "Whenever you buy something from the Market... it's always
for bully19."
"Stop all this jealousy... I buy stuff for every one of you guys," CJ replied.
"Speaking of spending... you should really stop, you ARE buying unnecessary
items... like last week, you bought a Wet Snowball, did we really need that?"
Experiment909 asked, as he overheard the conversation from the other room.
CJ blushed... "Well, we do need it. It IS a Battledome item."
NeoChia692 laughed bitterly "A Wet Snowball is useless... can't even damage
5 hitpoints from it!"
"Well, I bought it! I can't give it back now... nobody wants it!" CJ argued...
forgetting the Attack Fork that she held so tightly.
Bully19 opened his eyes slowly, waking up to the mild bickering across the
room, "What are we fighting about NOW?" he asked grumpily.
Experiment909 bit his Green Apple hungrily, enjoying the scene in front of
him "Oh, we're just discussing how CJ wastes OUR money too much."
Bully19 had to agree. "That is right, you should really cut down. How many
NP's do we have left anyway? 50,000?"
CJ started to pace. "No, maybe more."
"How much more?" BluePuffOfSmoke challenged.
"Maybe like... 8, 000 NP more," CJ answered.
"That's it?" bully19 asked angrily... trying his best not to loose his temper.
CJ straightened up, looking at all four of them "Yes... and why are you screaming
at ME for? I am your owner... you should learn to respect my decisions!" CJ
huffed, leaving the room in a hurry.
~Two Weeks Later~
CJ took a deep breath, walking in the house slowly. She found the four NeoPets
eating... talking and laughing happily. She cleared her throat, getting their
attention. "Guys, I have some news."
"What?" bully19 asked
CJ shifted from one foot to another "We...we're... we... we're kind of...broke."
"BROKE?" all four asked, surprised.
CJ nodded slowly, "I'm so sorry... it's just that... I was given a challenge
by the Brain Tree...and I couldn't resist... and I went to the Esophagor...
I couldn't leave without finishing. I REALLY thought I was going to be given
a good, RARE item," she babbled.
BluePuffOfSmoke shook his head disapprovingly, "And what DID you get?"
CJ took out her 'prize'.
bully19's mouth widened... "A FEATHER TICKLER? How much is that worth? Like
150 NP's right?" he stopped eating his Ummagine.
After hours of endless arguing, the five came to a stop... the whole house
becoming quiet... finally, someone spoke.
"What are we gonna do? We have no money... we just ate the last of our food
supply..." NeoChia692 trailed off.
"We have tons of choices... the Giant Omelette... Money Tree... Tombola...
they have great tasting peas... ummm, or the Soup
Kitchen," CJ said, smiling a bit.
bully19 kept his anger hidden once again, while Experiment909 couldn't.
"We warned you! We told you to stop spending OUT money on useless junk... but
did you listen? Noooo...."
"I've learned my lesson," CJ whispered.
Two Days later, all five walked into the Soup Kitchen... where they were greeted
by the Soup Faerie... and many of the starving pets that had come for the free
food. They each took their seats, and waited for their food.
"What are we going to do now?" BluePuffOfSmoke asked.
"Start all over... work our way up again... and one day, we're going to be
the richest of all Neopia." CJ grinned, slurping her soup loudly.
