The Art of Battling: 2 Ways You Can Really Clobber Your Opponent! by kofchamp2002 | |
BATTLEDOME - Well, you’ve always been wondering how all those people have so many
Battledome victories and thousands of points, while you yourself have lost to
the Chia Clown so many times! Well, the solution is here, as I will advise you
on both training and weapons, so you can beat that silly Chia Clown, pay back
that pesky Pant Devil for stealing your Wand of Dark Nova that you’ve just bought
with all your money, or just want to show off for your friends all those tough
opponents you’ve beaten!
First of all, you should know that beating someone in Battledome doesn’t increase
your level, or any of your stats. It only raises your Battledome score, and
also updates your records, such as your battle log and User Lookup info. Second,
Battledome is for people who are serious and are willing to commit 50% to 100%
percent of your funds on Battledome weapons and training, so if your not willing
to, then the Battledome is not for you!
Another thing you should know: So far, Movement and Intelligence have no use
in the Battledome, but people like to increase them in case one day Neopets
decides that they will be utilized for battle.
Agreed to the above conditions? Good, because now I am going to tell you the
2 main ways to train and battle!
Strategy # One: The Cheap Way
Uses about 20k to 50k
Time: 2 Weeks
From the first week, go to Coltzan’s Shrine, Tombola, and the Snowager. Coltzan’s
Shrine usually increases your level, and occasionally your defense and movement.
When you get to levels 8-10, you should now start to train at the Training School.
I personally like the Training School better, since it has a chance of raising
your trained stat by 2 instead of one! Train for the remainder of the week and
all of the second, on ONLY strength and endurance. If you’re a defensive person,
no help there, sorry! With occasional wins at Tombola, you should get at least
2 codestones a week, as well as stat boosts from Coltzan’s Shrine. At the end
of the two weeks, you should’ve only spent 10k on the codestones, and your stats
should be something like this:
Strength: 12
Endurance: 18
Defense: 11
Movement: 12
Level: 9-10
There, doesn’t look like much of a stat boost? Well, wait until we outfit you
with your weapons!
Weapons: Luckily, if you’ve gone to the Snowager at least once every day for
the past 2 weeks, you would’ve gotten at least one Negg, which you can sell
for 2k+, and a Sword of Domar, an excellent starter weapon! With that weapon
ready, you can decide whether you want to buy another Sword of Domar, or spend
an additional 30-35k for the following weapons:
Lost Desert Dagger x2: about 28k.
Sticky Snowballs: a whopping 12 icons, and only 1k right now for 2! Stock up
on these, about 2k worth of them (4).
Pale Elixir x1: Heals nine HP, great for starters.
Leaf Shield: An excellent shield, and only 2k at the most!
Sword of Domar: An excellent starter weapon, both attacks AND defends.
Abilities: Use one Water Faerie, to get the ability Heal, and, optional, get
3 Fire Faeries (14-15k) to gain the ability Fiery Gaze, which has a chance of
freezing your opponent! Wow, and you didn’t even have to get those expensive
freezing items! Fiery Gaze has a one in 2 chance of freezing your opponent,
as I have tested it out myself on level one.
Battle Strategy:
1st Round: If you’ve gotten the ability Fiery Gaze, then use it along with
your Leaf Shield and the Lost Desert Dagger. If not, then use the two Lost Desert
Daggers, and Fierce Attack or the ability Heal, as it will prevent some of the
damage taken.
2nd Round: If the Fiery Gaze ability hasn’t worked, repeat the round 1 process.
With the two Lost Desert Daggers, use them again, but this time with only Heal,
as you need it to heal the HP lost. If the ability worked, chuck your snowballs
at your opponent along with Fierce Attack, and they should be either badly hurt
or defeated.
3rd Round: If the Fiery Gaze ability STILL hasn’t worked, you are in deep doo-doo.
Use the Leaf Shield, Lost Desert Dagger, and Defend, and start hacking away
at your opponent, taking their HP away slowly until you defeat them. If you
are down on health, you can use Heal and your Pale Elixir, along with the leaf
shield.
Well, that’s the basic strategy for opponents 30 difficulty and down, but if
you want to beat opponents above 30 difficulty, then I suggest using the Expensive
Way!
Strategy #2: The Expensive Way
Uses about: anywhere from 400k to 3 million Neopoints!
Time: 6 months to 2 years
Going for the expensive way, huh? Well, it’s not going to be cheap! In the
beginning, buy yourself a lab map pack. You can find it in the trading post
by searching secret laboratory map, and the entire pack usually sells for 400k.
Believe me, it’s worth it. With the lab map pack, you could save over 200k in
training efforts, but beware, it can change your pet species, gender, color,
and can lower your stats as well as raise them. With the lab map pack, go to
it everyday, and zap only ONE of your pets, preferably one that’s NOT painted
with a super-expensive paintbrush. The best time to use the lab is when your
pet is DELIGHTED AND BLOATED/VERY BLOATED. After about 6 months under lab ray
training, your stats should look something like this:
Strength: 60
Endurance: 60
Defense: 25
Movement: 56
Level: Anywhere from 1 to 40, as it lowers your levels if your unlucky.
Now that you’ve used up all your Neopoints, what is the point of the lab ray?
Well, with your attributes, you could probably get into a battle guild, some
which require your stats to be something like this: Strength+Hp>100. After you
get into the guild, you can go to the trades, which they sometimes have free
weapons for guild members! It’s a great start off, as they give out ones leaf
shields, healing potions, elixirs, and even Lost Desert Daggers if your in a
nice, big one! Very nice!
Weapons: Well, with these attributes, you can get straight on to battling!
Here’s the recommended line-up, which, according to my calculations, should
cost you about 100k to 150k.
Snowball Club x2: 45k, 22k apiece, and does some nice damage, about 30 per
round, using two. These are part of my line-up, and I have yet to upgrade them.
Leaf Shield x1: An excellent part of any line-up, and is VERY useful defending
against water attacks.
Bombaberry Elixir x2(?): about 4k for two, heals 11 HP, don’t know if you can
equip 2 elixirs or not…If not, then get a Pale Elixir, a lot cheaper, and only
heals 2 less than the Bombaberry Elixir.
Sticky Snowball x2: If you thought they did a lot using the 1st strategy, you’ll
be stupefied by the massive damage they inflict during battles. Stock a lot
of these.
Dark Nova: Very nice item, about 4.7k, does about 13 damage and heals 13 damage
on average. Very nice when used with a snowball club.
Abilities: If you’ve gone to level 34 or higher, I recommend getting 4 Earth
Faeries for the ability Burrow, one of the cheapest ways to avoid most or all
of the damage inflicted on you, and getting 7 Dark Faeries for the ability drain
life, which acts like your very own, personal supernova, draining 11-15 HP from
your opponent to yourself when they have 80-100 HP. Also, the ability Fiery
Gaze would be very helpful with 3 Fire Faeries, as it freezes your opponent.
Battle Strategy:
1st Round: Try and freeze with Fiery Gaze on strong, and use your leaf shield
and Snowball Club. If this isn’t what you prefer, then use both your snowball
clubs, and either Fierce Attack, (or, if your at level 50, use berserk, it helps
A LOT in boosting the damage inflicted) or Burrow on Strong or Medium setting.
For harder opponents, you should always use Burrow on the strong setting.
2nd Round: If Fiery Gaze has worked, then go for the win. Chuck both your Sticky
Snowballs at your opponent, as well as use Fierce Attack or Berserk. This attack
should do about 60-80 damage with the above stats(Wow!), and you should’ve won.
For harder opponents, after this assault, go into the 2 snowball clubs and Burrow
Ability until you win. If Fiery Gaze hasn’t worked, you should go into the Snowball
and Burrow Ability anyway, as risking a freeze for massive damage is useless
if your opponent defeats you in the next round.
That is basically the strategy for all opponent levels above 30! Now the Pant
Devil looks like a cute little baby compared to the opponents you can defeat
now!
Well, that’s it for this guide, and I hope you at least do a LITTLE better
from my guide. More will be coming soon, as well as an ENTIRE series on the
conquests of my pet, if I’m lucky! –kofchamp2002
