Life on the Citadel

by faeriegurl4lyfe

DARIGAN CITADEL: Hovering above the skies of Meridell - a gigantic evil island, the home of the once ferocious Darigan and the almighty tyrant Kass. Yet, it's not the home of only those 2 villains/heroes, or whatever they are now (can you blame me for not knowing? It's hard to keep up!), it is also the home of Darigan minions and fellow warlords... And out of all the articles out there I've never saw one that included the daily life of a Darigan minion on a floating island. So this article is dedicated to those poor, yet brave, souls who decided to make their home on such a.... *Coughs* Unique *coughs* Place...

Electricity: Where exactly are all the wires? Or are there 100 candles inside every room and house there (and if so, fire alarms must go off every now and again…)?

The Plumbing: Nobody ever considered the awful plumbing there must be up there. Where does all the water go after you flush? (Maraqua has the best plumbing as some might notice).

Island: Where on Neopia was that piece of ground was taken from? Is there a big hole in the ground? Some poor Neopet might accidentally fall into it and never be seen again.

Transportation: As floating machines are yet to exist in Neopia (as far as we know at least), only winged pets can make visits to the Citadel... The tourism must not be all that good up there...

height-o-phobia: (No idea what’s the actual name for it is, but don’t tell anyone!) So what do people with height-o-phobia do on floating islands, really? UPDATE: It's called Acrophobia, thanks Kristen *hugs*).

Falling over: Let's say it’s a wonderful day for a walk, you and your Neopet decide to go outside for some breath of rotten air, you walk and walk and walk and walk… and POOF! Leg in the wrong place and you and your pet fall over… Oops… Life’s tough!

Visiting other places: Minions with no wings would have quite a bit of trouble making visits to their friends without coming crashing down to the Meridell turf and maybe (just maybe) get some broken bones and bruises...

Population: With more, and more, and more, and more Neopets appearing in the Citadel, I predict it will come down preeettty sooooon. (Again, a little something I like to call gravity) *coughs*

Cellblock: Between spitting Squire Meekels, Drooling Haskols, and unbeatable opponents, I just don't see what there is to do on the Citadel all day...

Petpet Battledome: Fighting against the same petpets over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again (noticed how I wrote that 10 times? And notice how I don't babble a lot at all to make the article longer so it would pass the 1,000 limit *shifts eyes*) Isn't that a bit dull as a daily activity?

Trophies: Folks from the Citadel would only be able to get 2 kinds of trophies: Cellblock and Petpet Battles... (And in the past the Darigan Battledome) - Now isn’t that sad *throws Rotten Tomatoes at Kass while he isn't looking and blames it on Mags*

What about minions who don't like purple?: You might have noticed that the main color scheme on the Citadel would have to be purple. But what about people who DON'T like purple? Shouldn’t we consider the poor souls who seeing purple every day makes them toss their cookies?!

The sky: Looking from Meridell, the sky have an orange shade -- yet back in the Citadel its always red, red, red, red , red!!! People could go color blind, I tell ya *shudders*!

BLUGTHAKS: 3 monsters on the scale of all of the Island. Shouldn't that bring it floating back to Neopia (and creating yet another little hole in the ground)?

Talking about floating islands: What's this about gravity? Or is there an invisible Blugthak somewhere down in Meridell that carries the Citadel on his shoulders…

Food: Assuming there are no animals on the island, and from what I can see there are no plants either -- what are the poor minions eating? They can't trade with Meridell!!

Water: Same as above (replace eating with drinking). I mean, if you look up close: Mystery Island has its Rock Pool, Lost Desert has that weird river and lake combination, Faerieland has the Rainbow Fountain, Neopia Central has its Rainbow Pool, Meridell has an artificial river across Skarl's Castle, Krawk Island is located in the middle of the sea, Virtupets Space Station - Ever wondered what’s the Space Faerie was for? Non-existing Jelly World - Why would a non-existing world need water? Terror Mountain - Well... look at it, its made of frozen water!!! Maraqua - (If you never noticed its time you'll get that its an underwater world), and as far as the Haunted Woods go -- I doubt there is anything living there that would actually need water... Tyrannia - Well 11 out of 12 isn’t that bad...

Whack-A-Kassers: Beware *Rawrs* Smacking poor Kass dolls on their heads… You evil, evil people! I’ll see to it that you would get what you deserve, get ‘em Ru, get ‘em!!

Life in the Citadel: "Written by General Kass, this book tells of what it was really like when the Meridell vs. Darigan war was raging." This is one book I would just looooooove to read all about (and get some more ideas for the article).

That's about it... Hope I made you wonder a bit about the life that Neopians(?) must be living up there, so next time think twice before siding with orb stealers that think they can get away with it. *hugs Darigan* Go Darigan, my luffly Korbat!! *Darigan flies off petrified and never to be seen near FG again* Sorry it turned out to be a little bit more than a 'How they live?' article, but I had to squeeze some more information some how to get off that nasty 1,000 character limit;) Err... I mean... I just like to babble a lot. Really!!!
