From Light to Darkness: Part One

by hitmontop444

Kachyraeek, a yellow Kacheek, ran up the stairs, soaked by her sweat. The clanging of her footsteps on the hard rock echoed through the corridor. The walls were dark and crumbles. She carried a small red amulet in her hands.

Hurry, hurry, the yellow Kacheek repeated in herself.

Once upstairs, she threw a big, wooden door open that made a cracking noise. The room behind it was filled with darkness. In the end of the room was a figure, sitting in a golden throne. Even though the throne was gold, it felt like it was black.

"I got the amulet!" Kackyraeek exclaimed, walking closer to the figure.

The figure leaned forward, revealing her face. Her skin was white as snow, her eyes glowing like a red moon. Her hair was purple and green, hanging down her hair like snakes.

"Good -- hand it over to me," she hissed, her eyes squeezing together.

"Y-Yes, of-of course!" Kackyraeek stuttered, handing over the amulet to Jhudora with shaking hands.

Jhudora took the amulet and clutched it in her hand. She smiled grimly, revealing her sharp vampire-like teeth.

"Is something wrong?" the Kacheek asked, confused.

The Dark Faerie dropped the amulet on the ground next to her throne. "Yes, something is wrong.."

Kachyraeek's eyes widened and her hands started to shake even more, as she hoped she would not be punished for doing something wrong.

"You are too late -- Two minutes late..." Jhudora hissed. Her usual, creepy voice changed into an angry, shouting tone. "You rotten, slow, Slorg! You are two minutes late!"

Kachyraeek heavily shook her head in panic. She wanted to turn around and run -- run as fast as her legs would let him. Buts he was frozen, her body would not move.

Jhudora tightly wrapped both hands around her Dark Faerie Staff and pointed it at Kachyraeek. "You shall be punished, little Kacheek. You shall be changed into... Snot!"

The Kacheek wanted to scream, but before she could do anything, a beam shot out of Jhudora's staff and struck Kachyraeek in the chest. Her body slowly changed material. Her bright yellow colour changed into green snot within seconds. Kachyraeek looked down, and didn't see her normal arms, instead, she saw arms made out of snot, small parts dripping down on the floor. But she couldn't watch herself change any longer, darkness closed in on his vision and she fainted..

"Oh, dear, are you all right?" someone said.

Kachyraeek opened his eyes, and saw her owner, hitmontop444, and Ciakaba, a cloud Koi, leaning over her. The Kacheek stood up and found herself in her Neohome. The Neohome was quite small, and didn't have many rooms. But they were happy, and that was all that mattered. Well, they were happy, until now.

"We found you laying on the ground in Faerieland," Hittop said, trying to hold back his tears. He had blond hair and wide clothes.

"Hittop… snot... I saw snot..." Kachyraeek muttered. She shook her head in confusion, when she suddenly saw green drips of ooze fly around. The Kacheek looked around, but noticed the green snot came from her. Kachyraeek looked down and saw her snot body.

"I feel very sorry for you," Ciakaba, the Cloud Koi muttered.

"Now, don't worry Kachy, I am going to get a paint brush for you," Hittop said. He turned his head around and looked at some bags of Neopoints on a table in the corner. They didn't had enough Neopoints to buy a paint brush.

Kachyraeek walked up to a Jelly Mirror and examined herself. On the top of her head were three hairs sticking out. She always had three hairs sticking out of the rest. A couple of times a day she needed to brush the hairs back. The Kacheek grabbed her Jhudora brush and slowly moved the brush to her head to brush her hair. But when the brush touched her head, it just went through and green slime soaked over the brush. Kachyraeek angrily threw the Jhudora brush on the ground, snot tears rolling down from her eyes. She swiftly ran to her room on the first floor.

Ciakaba and Hittop chased behind her, but before they could say anything, Kachyraeek threw the door shut and locked it.

"Please! Open the door!" Hittop shouted, desperately.

After a few seconds without response, he sighed and walked down the stairs.

"What can we do?" Ciakaba muttered, her Drackonack chasing her around making growling sounds.

Hittop sat down in the Furry Chair in front of the Fireplace. Ciakaba sat down on the ground next to Hittop, hugging Dracko.

For minutes they pondered about what to do about the situation, when an idea hit Ciakaba.

"Illusen! Jhudora hates that Earth Faerie and that Earth Faerie hates Jhudora! Maybe she can help us!" he sat up, ran to the door and did his coat on. Ciakaba and Dracko followed Hittop as they all three left their Neohome.

Outside was Tyrannia, a muddy, dangerous place. But they were used to it, since they lived there for years.

"Meridell isn't too far, we'll take the Boat Express, c'mon!"

The group hurried to the docks.

* * *

She threw another bottle filled with blue sand in the bubbling water of the kettle. It was Illusen, the Earth Faerie living in her glade near Meridell. She protects Meridell from evil, like Jhudora.

"Almost done now," she said to herself, grabbing some dried Warf paws, and slowly letting it slide into the kettle, causing an abrupt explosion of pink smoke.

Illusen waved her hands around to get the smoke away, when she felt the presence of someone else. Someone evil.

"Hello dear," a dark voice whispered.

One single word popped-up in Illusen's mind: Jhudora.

"What do you want now?" the Earth Faerie shouted.

A sudden, chill wind appeared and blew the smoke away, revealing a shadowy figure standing in the corner of the room.

"Just quit it, give up, and hand all your stuff over to me?" Jhudora asked sarcastically.

Illusen smiled, "I am almost ready now. So watch your steps, Jhudora!"

"My, my," the shadow whispered, shaking her head, "such an aggressive use of language for someone like you, Illusen. I just came here to warn you. I've had enough of you, and your dirty plans to take me down."

Jhudora's voice started to sound deeper and darker with every second, "Give up while you can Illusen, or suffer the consequences..."

Her voice faded away and she disappeared, leaving a surprised Illusen behind.

Illusen stared at the gooey water in the kettle in front of her. It is done, she thought, I just need Jhudora to drink it... and then.. then, she will be changed in a Light Faerie permanently and we wont have any more trouble coming from her!

The Earth Faerie took a bottle from a table next to her and held it in the water in the kettle for a few seconds. When the heaved it up, the bottle was filled with the gooey mass. Illusen stared at the bottle, and abruptly laughed..
