Classrule’s School of Neoadvice: How to Make Neopoints WITHOUT Playing Games

by classrule

Day in and day out I see people on chat and in guilds and in trades and even in shops begging others for Neopoints. And I will tell you right now that it disgusts me. Half these people have speedy computers perfectly capable of playing the games and making millions. The other half… (the ones with slow computers) I want you to know that I am one of you. It IS possible to become rich when you can’t play the Flash games. Read on to find out how.

So class you want to know the secret? Well first, you have to quit feeling sorry for yourself. There are thousands if not millions of fellow Neopians who are in the same boat as you. Secondly, you have to be prepared to work hard. Nothing is easy. If you don’t work at it, then of course you won’t have any Neopoints. So if you want to go on, you have to truthfully be able to tell me that you are ready to work harder than you ever have before (on anything Neopets based). Ready? Let’s go.

Okay, so you have a slow computer or you aren’t allowed to download flash. Poor you. You can’t play any games. Right? WRONG! You can still play most of the dice and card games. Don’t look at me like that. You can get good money from the dice and card games. I built up a fortune from Dice-A-Roo and Cheat, so don’t tell me that it can’t be done. And the potato counter. You can’t forget the potato counter. Every Neopian should go there every day. Not the new extreme potato counter, but the old one. It gives you good amounts of Neopoints for practically nothing and it will run on almost every computer.

So you’ve played all the games until your pets are bored out of their skulls but you still have barely any Neopoints. It's time to try the freebies:

The Snowager is freebie number one. The Snowager is a grumpy old worm who dwells in the Ice Caves. Be careful or else he may blast your pets to kingdom come. Perhaps you’d be better off visiting him when he sleeps.

The next freebie is of course the Advent Calendar in Happy Valley. It over now, but go there next year during the month of celebrating. Believe me, you get good stuff and Neopoints.

The Healing Springs in Faerieland. Yes, I said the Healing Springs. Sometimes she will give you expensive magical potions and if not, well, your pets will be a whole lot healthier.

The Tombola (located on Mystery Island) can give you very good prizes. It used to give out better ones, and more often, but still it’s worth a shot. You’ve got nothing to lose.

The Shrine in the Lost Desert can increase your pet’s speed or level, give you food, Neopoints… even expensive Dubloons. AND there is a rumour going around that it will on occasion give out ONE MILLION Neopoints to a very lucky pet.

The Fruit Machine is also located in the Lost Desert. Usually it gives you nothing, but I've won 10,000 NP from it and I’ve heard of it giving out rare items.

So now do you have a fortune? No? Well then listen up because I am about to tell you the quickest way to make millions. Quicker even than playing the games:

MAKE A SHOP!!!

‘But I do have a shop,’ You say. ‘And I’m still poor,’ you say. Well then I say you aren’t using your shop the right way. The thing to do is get on the Shop Wizard also known as the Wiz. Type in a random item. The Floud petpet is a good one. Know look at the results. Are any of the shops selling this item for a whole lot less than the others??? If they are then buy the item, put it in your shop and sell it for a few Neopoints more. You can make thousands in just a few hours using this technique.

Also play the stock market. I have never tried this myself, but I have heard of people making millions this way.

USE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!! That’s what it's there for! You can make a whole lot of Neopoints from interest. Three Neopoints might not seem like a lot but believe me it piles up. And get this, the more interest you collect, the more money is in your bank. The more money in your bank, the more interest you collect…

Join a guild. Guilds can help you with tips to make more Neopoints. Many offer newbie packs to new members or have special guild shops where you can purchase items for far less than you normally would.

So now you’ve done all that, but you still have a problem. You’re making money all right, but all of it is being spent on the feeding of your pets. Don’t be troubled. In the Market there is a kindly Faerie who will gladly feed your pets nutritious and delicious soup until you have enough money to feed them on your own.

One more thing. If you really want free Neopoints and items try the Money Tree. It’s not as farfetched as it might seem. I mean SOMEONE is getting that stuff. Also, random events will sometimes cause Neopoints to fall around you like rain, but don’t count on it.

I hope you have enjoyed my lesson. Now go out into Neopian and become one of the rich elite. CLASS DISMISSED!
