Methos5 felt himself fall thought the floor. The weight
of Kronos made him feel like a falling rock. The Aisha wondered how long they
would fall for. His answer soon came. The two Aishas hit the ground hard. The
wind was knocked out of Methos5.
Kronos got off of Methos5. This was relief for
Methos5. He opened his eyes and looked around. They were now in a smaller cave.
There were a few torches that flickered red light around them. The cave seemed
a little warmer then the last.
Methos5 slowly stood to his feet. Kronos was
standing above him with his sword drawn. Methos5 shook his head and unsheathed
his sword. "So, this is a fight then? I must tell you I’m more of a lover than
a fighter," Methos5 told the other Aisha.
"Yes, this is a fight. It is a fight for freedom!"
Kronos yelled. Kronos then swung his sword at Methos5. Methos5 used his sword
to defend himself. The two swords clashed in the air. This caused little sparks.
"Do we really have to? You don’t want to fight
me," Methos5 pleaded as the swords were released from each other.
"We do. This fight will determine who gets to
have Immortalmina as their owner. The other will live here in the core forever."
Methos5 could tell the Aisha was serious.
"I don’t think that is necessary. Immortalmina
loves us. I’m sure if she could have eight pets she would keep you too."
"That’s the kicker, isn’t it? She can only have
four pets. En Garde!" Kronos yelled and then swung his sword again. Methos5
caught it easily. This upset Kronos. He tried again. Methos5 again defended
against the attack.
Methos5 then attacked Kronos. He used his sword
to remove Kronos’ sword. Kronos’ sword flew out of his hands and hit the cave
wall. Kronos ran to it. He tired with all his might to pull the sword from the
cave wall. It wouldn’t budge.
"Oops, sword in the stone. How about instead
of sword fighting we do something the requires our brains?" asked Methos5
Kronos gave up on his sword. He looked at Methos5
like the Aisha had gone crazy. "You have bested me. You won, so why would you
want to play a game?"
"I don’t really think that was fair. I am very
good with a sword. Let’s try Neopia trivia." Methos5 put his sword away. Kronos
still looked at him with disbelief.
"How does it work?"
"Well, I’ll ask a question to you and if you
get it right I’ll mark on the wall one point. Then you ask me and if I get it
right You’ll mark down one point. We’ll do this until one of us has five points.
Is that okay?" explained Methos5
"How do I know you won’t cheat and say I got
it wrong when I got it right?" asked Kronos.
"You don’t, but I don’t know if you will cheat
either. We’ll just have to trust one another. Okay I’ll go first: When is the
Annual Chocolate Ball?"
Kronos sat there. He put his paw on his head
and scratched it. "Humm... the 12th of Gathering?" he finally answered.
Methos5 looked a little saddened. "No I’m afraid
that’s wrong. It is the 15th of Gathering. Your turn."
"Well, I hate chocolate! Okay who is the bounty
hunter of Fairies?" asked Kronos. He looked happy in his question.
Methos5 thought about it and then answered,
"Balthazar."
Kronos seemed crushed. "One point for you."
Kronos took his paw and marked it on the wall. The walls were so covered in
dirt that the Aishas could easily draw points on them.
"Who brought over the Grundos?" was Methos5's
next question. Methos5 was at first a Grundo so he thought it would be a good
question.
"Dr. Sloth!" Kronos knew it right away. He almost
felt like Methos5 gave him that easy question on purpose.
"One point for you." Methos5 drew the point
on the wall for Kronos.
"The Bruce once had a different name, what was
it?" Kronos was bringing out the big guns.
Methos5 had been around a long time, but not
that long. "The Bruce?" he whispered. "The Brice?" he answered.
"Nope sorry, it was a trick question The Bruce’s
old name was The Bruce." Kronos was very pleased with this victory.
"Alright we are tied with one point each. Let’s
see, how about this: What does the Fire Faerie bless you with at level 15?"
Kronos did not know the answer. He had never
been blessed by fairies. "Fire balls?" he guessed.
"Sorry no. It is Lava Spit."
Kronos was not happy with that question. Then
he remembered a good question. "When did Neopia get discovered by the humans?
The whole date please."
Methos5 looked at Kronos crossly. That was a
toughie. "November 15th 1999."
"How did you know that?" Kronos spat.
"I don’t know, I read it somewhere," Methos5
told Kronos as Kronos marked Methos5's second point on the wall.
"Alright, Who won Sacrificers?" Methos5 asked.
"Pop Tart." Kronos answered.
"Yep!" Methos5 wrote down his point. The two
were once again tied now with two points each.
Kronos just stared at Methos5 for a moment.
He didn’t know what to ask the Aisha next. Methos5 seemed to know a lot. "How
many colors are Ixi’s available in?"
"Let me see, 24?" Methos5 looked like he wasn’t
sure of the answer.
"No, 25," Kronos lied. He knew that Methos5
had only guessed right.
"No, I think only 24. These are the colors:
Baby, Blue, Brown, Checkered, Cloud, Desert, Electric, Faerie, Fire, Ghost,
Green, Halloween, Island, Mutant, Orange, Plushie, Purple, Rainbow, Red, Shadow,
Skunk, Starry, white and yellow. That’s only 24." Kronos was in awe. Not only
did he name the colors but in alphabetical order. Kronos didn’t argue and marked
one more point for Methos5.
Methos5 knew Kronos would lie eventually. He
didn’t really even seem to mind. This was fun for him. It was much better then
sword fighting. He was good at sword fighting, but he liked using his mind more.
The sword was only a last resort.
"What pet has the Wooden Spoon Award?"
"The Lenny," Kronos answered immediately.
"No the Krawk," Methos5 corrected him.
"But the Krawk is rare. Does it count?"
Methos5 shook his head yes, "I’m sorry but that
is who has the Wooden Spoon Award."
Kronos was not happy about this dumb game. It
was becoming more and more annoying. He would have rather fight with his sword.
The feeling of metal hitting metal was what he lived for. This was just prolonging
his loss. He had lost with a sword and now he was going to lose with a trivia
game.
"I give in. You win," he told Methos5 instead
of another question. Methos5 was startled by this.
"Are you sure? I could still lose."
"No, it’s okay. I give in. You can keep Immortalmina."
After this was said, green light surrounded Methos5.
Methos5 was pulled away from Kronos. He felt
the feeling of falling again. Soon, he landed. Methos5 opened his eyes to see
a soft green glow. Then he could see a trench coat and hat wearing Aisha. "Clyde
or Frank?" Methos5 asked the Aisha
"It’s me, Clyde. I guess you won," Clyde told
Methos5 as he helped him up. Methos5 nodded his head.
"What are we doing here?" asked the confused
Aisha.
"We wait for the others," Clyde answered. The
two Aishas sat down. They now had to wait for Spike and Artemisluv, or Angel
and Apolloluv.
