Conquering Hannah and the Pirate Caves: Part One

by neomaniac1603

GAMES ROOM - Do you want to conquer and complete Hannah and the Pirate Caves? You really are ready to venture through different Pirate Caves seeing different monsters, collecting Gems and escaping fast rising water aren't you? I will try my best in this article to explain Hannah and the Pirate Caves, so sit down and start reading!

I will be frequently using the word HATPC which is my abbreviation of Hannah and the Pirate Caves

This article will be made up into two parts. One half will explain the basic knowledge you will need to have while playing HATPC + the first 10 levels explained. The second article will have the last 10 levels.

Basic Knowledge
Ever wonder what everything you may hit, explode or collect may be worth?

Treasure Chests
The Treasure Chests found in the levels of HATPC are worth 55 points each. You must obtain all Treasure Chests in each level in order to pass on to the next (you can find how many Treasure Chests you need to obtain in the middle of the screen at the very top).

Wooden Crates
The Wooden Crates found in the levels of HATPC are worth 15 points each, although this may not seem a lot it is key to try to get each one in all of the levels. The amount of points you get from them at the end of the game really could count towards a high score (they might even be the main factor of you getting into the trophy positions).

Arrow Crates
Arrow Crates are found in almost every level in the HATPC game. For each one you hit it is worth 45 points. There are 4 Arrow Crates (Up, Down, Left and Right). Just make sure you are not in the way of one while it is passing by

Dynamite Crates
Dynamite Crates help clear away Steel Crates and Steel Crates that have Dynamite in them. For each one you hit it is worth 75 points. These are in half (if not the majority) of the levels found in HATPC.

Steel Crates
Steel Crates usually need to be cleared away by either Dynamite Crates or by hitting Arrow Crates. Destroying a Steel Crate will give you 15 points.

Steel Dynamite Crates
Steel Dynamite Crates can be destroyed by either hitting an Arrow Crates or Dynamite Crates. If you set one off it is worth 30 points.

Gems
Gems are not required to be obtained but they are worth 5,000 points once you finish the level you've obtained it from. To obtain the Gems there are Secret Areas in all levels INCLUDING the tutorials. Some are tricky to find but if you work hard at each level and search High and Low you might just find it (In one level or two you might have to wait for the water to rise to find the Secret Area). Hitting a Gem Crate will give you 85 points.

Extra Life Crates
Extra Life crates are one of the important things to obtain in the levels they are in. They are once again not required but you might need them for the higher levels (possibly any levels passes 15). Extra Life crates are hard to find in each level (just like Gems). Hitting an Extra Life crate will give you 555 points.

Stalactites/Stalagmites
In almost all levels there are Stalactites and Stalagmites everywhere. If you are unfortunate to hit one, you will loose a life. If a Stalactite/Stalagmite is destroyed it is worth 5 points.

Ladders
A very important part to every level are the Ladders. To climb simply just go over by it and press the UP arrow on your keyboard. If one section of a ladder is destroyed it is worth 10 points.

Boulders
A very important part to every level are the Ladders. To climb simply just go over by it and press the UP arrow on your keyboard. If a Boulder is destroyed it is worth 15 points. If a Wooden Platform is destroyed it is worth 30 points.

Wooden Platforms
Wooden Platforms are in just about every level and will help you get to that far away destination.

The Levels
I will go through a review of all 20 levels which will sum up each level in a few sentences. Hopefully this will help you on your quest to conquering HATPC!

Level 1 - This is possibly the easiest level in HATPC. There is 1 monster featured in it and a total of 18 Treasure Chests and a Gem to be collected.

Level 2 - There are no monsters featured in this level, but there is a Gem and an Extra Life to be collected. In this level there is a total of 11 Treasure Chests to be collected. Watch out for falling Boulders, Stalactite's and Stalagmites.

Level 3 - Be sure to go quickly through this level (at least be quick while collecting the Treasure Chests). There is 1 monster featured in this level and there is a total of 12 Treasure Chests to be collected. Watch out for rising water, falling boulders and be ready for a lot of crawling. If you can find it there is also a Gem.

Level 4 - There is 1 monster featured in this level and also boulder falling, pushing and getting out of the way of falling objects. There are a total of 12 Treasure Chests to be collected and a Gem.

Level 5 - This level focuses on rising water. You must quickly run to the top of the level and use your ability to push the boulder down to the bottom of the level moving out of the way of all 3 monsters on your way down. There are a total of 9 Treasure Chests, a Gem and an Extra Life to be collected. *Hint: You might have to wait for the water to rise half way or so to collect your gem*

Level 6 - Featured in this level are 2 monsters, constant crawling, jumping out of the way of arrows and testing your swimming abilities. There are a total of 23 Treasure Chests and a Gem to be collected.

Level 7 - Be very quick in this level or you might find yourself having to restart it. There are a total of 23 Treasure Chests and a Gem to be collected. There are no monsters in this level.

Level 8 - In this level you can expect to find 3 monsters, also in this level you can come to expect a challenge with moving boulders around and much more. There are a total of 16 Treasure Chests and a Gem to be collected.

Level 9 - This level you might find will be if not the hardest of the last 8 then close to it. If you cannot get past the first part then you should really practice at it. You really test out how good you are at jumping from ladder to ladder in this level. There are a total of 20 Treasure Chests and a Gem to be collected. Thankfully there are no monsters.

Level 10 - There are no monsters featured in this level but it is basically a test for your ability to run from falling boulders, an on going booby trap of arrows and the ever so wonderful exploding Steel Dynamite Crates exploding one by one while you try to crawl and jump for your life. There are a total of 18 Treasure Chests, a Gem and an Extra Life to be collected.
