A MESSY DESK - I'm sad to see that the well-known and one of the most famous advice
givers has disappeared. The Island Mystic was the one who advised me to pursue
a career with The Neopian Times and I am thankful for all the advice he as given
me. We shall all miss him and hope for his safe arrival. This one is to him, the
best advice giver in the world of Neopia (next to me that is.) Did you catch that
one Slothy?
Dear Roxy: I am a blue Uni who has a blue Zafara for a brother. He
is obsessed with carrots and I am sick and tired of him raiding the fridge.
In addition, my brother hates Lost Desert food but like Sphinx links. I have
a blue Kacheek and a red Tuskaninny for brothers. They believe they are twins;
even though they look nothing a like. "The twins" do everything together. And
my owner loves muffins. Am I the only one with a weird family? -A Very Confused
Uni
Dear A Very Confused Uni: You aren't the only one! I come from a rather
weird family, myself. A lot of relatively normal pets come from weird families
there is nothing wrong with being weird. Would you rather come from a boring
and dull family or a weird and fun one? I think it's pretty safe to say that
I would take the fun one with a dash of weird! -Roxy
Dear Roxy: I am the only boy in the family and I have three sisters.
Even my owner is a girl! All they do is girl stuff. Whenever I try to get some
boy stuff going, they put girl stuff all over it! Please help me! -Surrounded
By Girls
Dear Surrounded By Girls: I must tell you that girl stuff isn't that
bad because well I am a girl. I do understand quite the predicament you are
in. I suggest getting some friends that are male you can hang out with every
so often to do boy stuff with. That way your family can continue to do their
girl stuff and you can do your boy things. -Roxy
Dear Roxy: I just wanted to ask how you come up with such great advice!?
I read Dear Roxy, and I loved it! You give great advice! How do you do it?
-Great Fan
Dear Great Fan: Oh thank you for the great letter! I was born with
quite a gift I must say and some have it and some don't. Too bad Dr. Sloth doesn't
have it, it's a real pity that he can't offer as good of advice as me. -Roxy
Dear Roxy: My pets don't seem to like their petpets. How do I find
a petpet that suits them better? -Petz Star
Dear Petz Star: It is quite hard to find the perfect companion for
your pet. It took me quite a while to find the petpet I wanted, and I'm so glad
I found her. I found a darling little Angelpuss named Troxy, which I love so
much. You can do some research ask your friends what petpets have worked and
haven't worked for them. In addition, let your pets make the final decision
on which petpet to get. After all, they will be the ones taking care of them.
Happy petpet hunting! -Roxy
Dear Roxy: My pet Ixi is obsessed with playing the kazoo. My family
therapist says it is normal for your oldest pet to be really annoying to get
attention. He said to let her keep it and when she realizes it doesn't faze
me, she'll stop playing the kazoo. Well Roxy, it has been thirteen and a half
months and she is STILL playing that stupid kazoo. What should I do? -Feels
Like Burning A Kazoo!
Dear Feels Like Burning A Kazoo: Ugh! Kazoos can be so annoying,
my little brother, Oke had one and he couldn't stop playing with it. He would
play the same Sticks N Stones song over and over again, I couldn't take anymore.
I am not proud of what I did but I stole the Kazoo and buried it in the garden.
Pretty bad, I know but at least I didn't have to listen to anymore songs on
the Kazoo. Limit the amount of time she plays the Kazoo to only an hour a day
and during that hour you can stuff cotton in your ears. If she plays it more
than just an hour a day it will be taken away. So it's a win-win situation!
-Roxy
Dear Roxy: My Kougra wants to send in an article to The Neopian Times,
but she doesn't know where to go to do that. She asked her friends, but no one
seems to know. Do you know where to go to submit an article to The Neopian Times?
-Aspiring Writer
Dear Aspiring Writer: You send your completed story/article/comic
to NeopianTimes@neopets.com Don't forget to include your Neopets screen name
and title. Make sure your submission is appropriate with proper spelling and
grammar! Chat speak is not allowed! Good luck and I hope to see you in the Neopian
Times one day. -Roxy P.S. If Sloth can do it, anyone can!
Dear Roxy: We recently purchased a Magaral. They're cute as buttons
and relatively inexpensive, so why don't I see more of them? -Magararu ga
Suki
Dear Magararu ga Suki : First of all, very original and creative alias;
I like. I have to agree they are pretty cute; not anything next an Angelpuss,
though. Magarals are pretty cute and they make the cutest noises. Who doesn't
like a petpet who says Meep? I am not sure why we don't see more of them around
Neopia. It's one of those unsolved mysteries. Hey Donna *wink wink* are you
reading this? -Roxy
Dear Roxy: How many "Dear Roxy" questions do you get a week? -Just
Wondering
Dear Just Wondering: I am always cleaning out my inbox because it
gets so close to overflowing. I probably get between twenty and fifty questions
a week. Although currently I just got about seventy this week! It's quite a
lot of messages to sort through. -Roxy
