Read this story from
the beginning!
karoia_ opened her eyes, to find herself in a small home. Was it all a dream?
Or did she....
She gulped at that last thought. Looking around, obviously she was somewhere,
but not where she thought she was.
It had the smell of rancid food, it looked very dirty with Spyder webs clinging
all over the walls. karoia_ noticed a Miamouse peek out from a hole in the wall.
"Oooookay...." She slowly moved around, afraid she'd fall apart.
Checking out the place, she realised it looked like a magic shop. Potions everywhere.
Mainly the mutant potions... ugly and disgusting... she stayed away from them,
making sure she didn't touch them...
"You're finally here..." A voice hissed from behind karoia_.
"EEP!" She ducked under the nearest table, and seen a black figure standing
there.
"Come out!" the voice screeched.
karoia_ crawled out, and looked at what was talking to her. A shadow figure,
like a walking cloak with no face. It was scary looking, karoia_ had shivers
running up and down her spine.
"I am Hades," it snapped, "I know all about the Orb."
"Isn't Hades guardian of the underworld...." karoia_ gulped.
"Yes, but am a different Hades. I am made up of black magic, but I am not evil...
I helped create the Orb."
"You...You helped create the Orb!? What were you thinking?" karoia_ spit out.
"The Dark Faerie came to me! And told me she had used it for only good. But
lied and was going to turn her back against me. But instead, I stole the Orb
and turned my back on her. I gave the Orb to the Queen Faerie, but it escaped,"
Hades quietly hissed. Even though not crass, Hades seemed a bit angry.
"No kidding..." karoia_ scratched her head, "It attacked me at my home, my
brother and friend, too."
"I always knew you'd stop the Dark Faerie, but I am not sure what to do now..."
Hades moved around his little lab, almost floating around.
"Oh gosh! My sisters and brother and friends are still fighting that Faerie
and Orb! I must help!"
"No!" Hades yelled, "I got it..." Hades was searching through a book.
karoia_ walked over, standing next to him she realised he was shorter than
herself.
"It says....." Hades started, "One mere Pet will save the Fate, to obtain the
Fate he/she must obtain what is threatening it."
"How does that book know? It could be any other pet. Why should I listen to
you anyway, you're some creepy shadow thing that called me from a important battle
where my friends and family are probably losing without me!" karoia_ hopped
away, over to a table with NeoPet potions.
"I merely called you here because I want to help. And I am not evil, I just
experiment with potions. And the only way to stop the Dark Faerie is snatch
the orb!" Hades turned towards karoia_, "Unless you're not up to it."
"I am...." karoia_ said, but unsure of herself.
"Well then. You are the one to save the Fate, to save millions of Neopians.
But none will ever know, except yourself and your friends," Hades finished off.
"And it has to be done fast."
"Well then how to I get the Orb? Do I just walk up and take it? Or what?" karoia_
asked, turning around.
"Well, I'll give you this..." Hades opened his scaly hand, revealing a Dark
Amulet.
"Cool! I have a fire one at home!" karoia_ gazed at the Amulet.
"With this, the Dark Faerie cannot hurt you, but the Orb can. I shall bring
you back to Tyrannia now. Remember what you have to do..."
"What exactly do I do when I get the Orb?" karoia_ put the Amulet around her
neck.
"You will know when you get it." Hades pushed karoia_ a little, then karoia_
felt the world turn into total darkness again.
She was floating, and was trying to figure out what she would do when she had
the Orb.
Then she landed hard on the ground with a thud.
Looking around herself, she had saw the Dark Faerie.
"Had enough? Puny pets..." the Faerie laughed aloud.
Viator then attacked the Dark Faerie from behind, "Take that!"
li_maige was just swinging a sword around, hoping to hit the Dark Faerie.
As for karoia_'s siblings, they were all laying on the ground, weak as wilted
plants.
karoia_ ran over to the Dark Faerie. "Leave them alone! It's you and me NOW!"
"kar! You're back!" Viator exclaimed.
The Dark Faerie turned to the small Cybunny and smiled. "If that is what you
want, but I will destroy you easily."
"Don't be too sure..." karoia_ glared at the Dark Faerie.
With a blast of black magic, the Dark Faerie hurled an attack at karoia_, but
it reflected off, and hit the Dark Faerie.
"Okay, so you want to play hard?" The Dark Faerie called upon her Orb.
The Orb blinked, flying over in front of karoia_.
karoia_ stared hard at it. Then kicked it, the Orb was flung backwards, and
slammed into the Dark Faerie.
"That's it! Enough! The Fate is now mine!" the Dark Faerie yelled, summoning
the clouds and rain and thunder.
The NeoPets struggled just to keep themselves from flying away with the wind.
"I have to do something........" karoia_ cried over the wind.
"What can you do?" Viator asked, flying backwards with the wind, "Oy!"
"Orb! Make the Fate mine!" the Dark Faerie hissed.
The Orb lit up in radiant colours. The sky turned red, then yellow, green......
the Fate was soon to be controlled by the Dark Faerie.....
The Orb was obtaining fate before all their very eyes. karoia_ knew she had
to do something.
"I have to do this....." She cried, and leapt over to the Orb.
Knowing she had to do it, karoia_ leaped onto the Orb. The sky returned back
to normal instantly. The winds still rushed around. The lightening still clapped.
"What are you doing!" The Dark Faerie roared, angry.
karoia_ could feel the Orb's power flowing through her. The Orb was soon going
to die out....
Jshottie looked up from where he lay, all he seen was karoia_ cling onto the
Orb, while the Orb's power was being drained. karoia was obtaining some, but
mainly the power was escaping the Orb and flying off.
"No! You can't do that GET OFF MY ORB!!!!" The Dark Faerie sulked like a baby.
"karoia_?" _Pups_ and Gazel_ looked up, weak and tired, they watched as karoia_
jumped off the Orb.
karoia_ had more energy flowing through her then ever. The power she had obtained
made her body glow a lime green colour. The Orb was drained, and fell lifeless
to the rocky ground. karoia_, knowing what she last had to do, hurled herself
over to the Dark Faerie, letting out all her extra energy and power.
"Wait! Stop!" The Dark Faerie's last words before she fell to the ground.
"She still alive?" Viator asked, poking the Dark Faerie.
"Yes... just weak...and tired," karoia_ explained. karoia_ fell over, tired.
"Oy..."
"What do we do now?" li_maige asked.
karoia_ opened her eyes, "You can take us home..."
But as karoia_ said that, the Orb completely dissolved into nothing. The six
pets found themselves back in the forest. The Dark Faerie was gone.
"We're already back..." Jshottie stood up and rubbed his head.
"Hmm, where'd that Faerie go?" li_maige asked.
"Probably back to Faerieland..." karoia_ sat up, dizzy.
"Let's go hoooome!" Gazel_ whined.
li_maige and Viator flew to their homes. karoia_, Jshottie, Gazel_, and _Pups_
waved good bye from their back yard.
"The ground damp, it must of still rained a little when we left..." Jshottie
pointed out before the pets walked into their NeoHome. As they all shook off
their wet fur, Karoia ran over to them from the he living room.
"I was so worried! Where were you?" Karoia asked frantic.
"Uhhhh...over to Viator's..." karoia_ blurted out.
"I was so scared you got caught in that sudden thunder storm. I was hoping
you'd all come home safe!" Karoia picked up Gazel_, walking into the he living
room. Her three other pets followed.
"I'm sooo tired..." _Pups_ whined.
"You're starting to sound like Gaz..." Jshottie told her.
"Guys I am in no mood to listen to you..." karoia_ said, falling on the living
room floor.
Karoia put Gazel_ down. And turned on the TV.
"This just in..." The TV blared, "In Tyrannia there was a sudden thunder storm,
which is pretty rare to find around this area."
"It rained in Tyrannia too?" Karoia watched the TV
"Also, the sky was changing colours right before Tyrannian's very eyes. Here
is a Pteri that witnessed the sky's sudden change of colours..."
karoia_ looked over at Jshottie and _Pups_, Gazel_ looked at them from up on
the couch.
"Wonder why that happened..." karoia_ said with a smile.
"Wonder what happened to the Dark Faerie..." Jshottie laid down, wrappings his
tail around him.
"I don't know but with no Orb, she won't be able to threaten the Fate any more,
and the Queen will deal with her...again..."

In Faerieland, they also witnessed the strange storm. And they also searched
for their missing Queen. As the Dark Faerie suddenly reappeared in her room,
the Queen reappeared as well. Since the Orb was gone, all damage done had been
restored.
"Dark Faerie..."
The Dark Faerie looked up, weak and tired, and seen the Queen's cross face.
Summer passed.... the young Dark Faerie had been punished greatly, she is still
stuck in her room, and has to stay there for a long time. The Queen, glad to
be ruling her kingdom again, still doesn't know how long to punish the young
Faerie.
karoia_ , her siblings, and friends are getting ready to return back to school.
Hoping never to see the likes of the Dark Faerie again, except for in a book
that is.
All seemed well, it was finally the end of an awful experience. It ended once,
and it ended again. But could it be the starting of something even worse?
Hopefully not. :)
