Addiction Predicament: Part Four by apparent | |
While in her bedroom the following night, Swirlyhorn had
difficulty sleeping. Her guilty conscience never resulted in a loss of sleep before,
but this time, it did. Saigru and herself were getting out of hand with the bet
that was only a day old, and as a result, the Uni in distress was on punishment
for the rest of the week. A few nightmares emerged into her mind the whole night,
waking her up early in the morning for school.
Saigru's case was just the same. In the morning
the two rival siblings awoke, heading into the main room where all of the family's
activities were held, only greeted by the eerie silence announcing that their
owner and other two siblings had left for a normal day's work. Arriving in the
living room, Swirlyhorn and Saigru both stood on opposite sides, staring at
each other. Swirlyhorn oddly made the first move, not giving any hint within
her tone of whether she was sincere or lying.
"Hey Saig'," she began, a mischievous glint
within each of her light blue eyes. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry I got
you into trouble yesterday."
"Uh huh, sure, you're a horrible actor, you
know that, Swirlyhorn?" Saigru frowned. "You're trying to make me forget that
this bet is still on, and I'm not going to, trust me." His older sister returned
the frown, this time with humiliation. She still had her sources, though.
"Okay, okay, it's still on. But don't think
I'm going to go easy on you just because we got into trouble."
"This is breaking about 1,000 house rules, Swirlyhorn."
"So what?" she sneered.
"Nothing… nothing. I was just seeing if you
were still up for the challenge, is all." Saigru lied quickly as he watched
his sister retreat into the kitchen, seemingly without worry and with a devious
plan on her mind. The Kougra smiled to himself and checked the clock, 12:30
NST. His guests would be arriving soon.

In the kitchen, Swirlyhorn grinned and withdrew her owner's laptop from underneath
the table. She placed it onto the surface of the wooden table and snickered.
"Heh heh heh. Why bother going to school today? I'm already in trouble. Besides,
I can't wait to test out this system of playing Go! Go! Go! Over the Internet.."
Her statement drowned off as she deftly used the edges of her hooves to type
the secret URL into the address bar:
http://www.neopets.com/prehistoric/secretgogogo/chat.phtml
The page immediately loaded into a chat room,
where the users there read: "PlesioFlot202, Sargugbugg, TekeliChan, and Swirlyuni."
"This is going to be great!" Swirlyhorn squealed.
"I knew Tekeli was smart enough to make a chat room where we can virtually play
Go! Go! Go!, without having our owners take us to the building in person! Hahaha,
soon my score will be 900!" The Uni smiled widely, her straight teeth glistening
in the sunlit room. She began to furiously type.
In Saigru's Bedroom…
Saigru peered outside of his opened window,
while carefully lowering his rope made out of knotted sheets to the ground.
There, Plesio began to cautiously climb upwards, followed by Sargug, and then
Tekeli-Li. He tightly held the end until the three Tyrannians managed to enter
his bedroom.
"Ugg, ugg," Sargug grunted and then plopped
himself onto the floor. He wasn't used to being anywhere except for Tyrannia
or the Go! Go! Go! cabin, and he was honestly a bit nervous about being in this
strange bedroom. The blue, shaggy Scorchio grunted again while looking around
curiously. Plesio shivered and drunk some water to keep him hydrated, then flopped
over to a corner and sat onto the floor as well. The Flotsam was always thirsty.
Tekeli-Li grinned slowly and helped himself
into Saigru's favorite beanbag chair, finding it quite comfortable on his rear,
and began to roll around on it happily. The Nimmo's fur was now laid messily
upon his back, due to his blithe playfulness, and he then responded to his partner,
"Ugg, Sargug, don't worry, we get paid overtime for this."
Saigru made a "ssh!" sound and then slammed
his window shut, heading over towards the three he had last played Go! Go! Go!
with quickly. His eyes widened with fright, "You guys have to be quiet, or else
my sister will hear us playing."
"Ugg, uggg, ug ugg?" Sargug inquired, while
picking at the dirt underneath his claw nails. Tekeli-Li nodded. "Yes, it's
that same bossy one as before."
"You all can sit here," Saigru quickly interrupted,
pulling a small table to the center of the room. "My owner hasn't logged in
yet today, so she can be here at any moment. I'd like to get started now; I'm
on punishment, anyway. Let's begin, shall we?"
Plesio and Sargug wobbled over to the table
and sat onto the floor, but Tekeli-Li insisted that he used the comfortable
beanbag chair, pulling it up to the edge of the table. Sargug whipped out a
deck of cards, and dealt for the four players.
"Swirlyhorn sure doesn't know this bet isn't
over yet," Saigru smiled and collected his hand, looking over it happily.
Back in the kitchen, 30 minutes later
Swirlyhorn angrily fumed while typing different
URLs in the address bar of her owner's computer. Something was wrong. She was
getting no response from the chat room where she was supposed to virtually meet
her three opponents. Angrily, she blew out some air from her nose and looked
towards the clock. It clearly read 1:00 NST.
"Grr, where ARE they?" she fumed, shutting down
the laptop, and ran outside to catch the next bus to the Go! Go! Go! cabin.
Despite the rain, she was determined to go win some games.
The Uni quickly ran out of the back door.
To be continued...
