Kiata awoke at dawn and got up. She went down the stairs.
She vaguely remembered the night before. Tying her cloak back on she headed out
the door.
Faint rays of sun washed over her as she stepped
outside. She wandered around Krawk Island until she came to a shop that sold
food. Unsheathing her sword she entered.
"I need supplies and I don't want trouble,"
Kiata growled. The shopkeeper showed her all of the best items in the shop.
She nodded and bought them all and left as quickly as she had entered.
She ran by Krawks and other Neopets. She came
to the edge of Krawk Island and stared at Faerie Land.
"I'll get you yet Shoyru. Just you wait and
see," she growled and took off. The sun shone behind her, casting her long shadow
across the calm waters of the sea. Behind her Neopets, continued with their
daily lives.

Kiata landed upon Faerie Land's cloudy path and smiled evilly. Up ahead she
could see a Jade coloured Shoyru in the distance waving to the Battle Faerie.
Kiata unsheathed her sword and swiftly made her way along the path.
***
Jade waved, "Goodbye!!! I'll visit soon!" she called and watched the gates
closed behind her. She shook her head and continued down the cloud path when
Kiata swung behind her, pressing a sword at her throat.
"Well, well, well... if it isn't Jadestone the
heroic Shoyru," Kiata said menacingly.
"Yeah, well if it isn't Kiata..." Jade replied
and ducked under the sword, kicking Kiata in the stomach in the process. The
silver Shoyru fell backwards, into the soft, fluffy clouds. Jade used the few
seconds she had to unsheathe her sword.
Kiata jumped up and ran at Jade. The jade coloured
Shoyru blocked with instinctive agility. Kiata withdrew and stepped backwards,
"Why do you insist on resisting the Shadow Army? You know Sakhmet will be ours!"
"Because I know it won't happen Kiata," Jade
answered and lunged forward, making Kiata lose her balance. Jade stepped back
and awaited her opponent's attack.
The silver Shoyru retaliated with a light based
attack. A bolt of lightning was unleashed from her sword. It struck Jade from
above and she cried out in pain. Her main element was water, however, she could
use the other five, Air, Light, Dark, Fire, and Earth.
She dropped to her knees and Kiata laughed, a
laugh that chilled the bone, "Muahahahahaha! So little Jade can't withstand
a bit of electricity. Does this mean your element is water?"
Jade ground her teeth together and stood up,
shaking with rage, "I have all six elements so you have a slight disadvantage!"
Steel clashed steel as Jade ran at Kiata. The
silver Shoyru laughed and stood her ground, "Is that the best you can do?"
Now it was Jade's turn to laugh, "Don't look
now but it appears you will have to get moving, unless you would like to be
stuck in Faerieland for the rest of your wretched life!"
On instinct she glanced behind her shoulder,
then down, "Wha...? AAAAHHHH!!!" Ice was forming on her boots, attaching itself
to a block of ice that was forming around her on the cloudy path of Faerieland.
Kiata looked up and glared at Jade before taking her sword and slamming it into
the ice.
Jade was smiling as she watched Kiata's attempts.
She heard a loud crunch. Before she knew it, she was in the Healing Springs.
Kiata rose up before her and struck her with another electrical attack before
flying off into the mid-day sky, shouting as she flew, "I'LL GET YOU JADESTONE!
MARK MY WORDS!!!"
Jade sat up and spit out water. Without realizing
it, her wounds healed, as a result from landing in Healing Springs.
She rose, heading for a small gate beside the
springs. A bluish-purple NeoGarden lay beyond the white gate. A brown, twisting
path lay before the soaked Shoyru. She began down the path, after closing the
gate, and looked at the NeoGarden.
There were at least two or three of each statue
ever made. Numerous flowers and plants grew in the luscious grass of this garden.
Fall Fur Bushes, Dragonbuds, and Star Trees grew along with many other plants.
A curving, white fence bent around the path. There were birdhouses scattered
here and there where birds lived happily. There were Scarescorchios to keep
out the unwanted bird. To top it all off, there were little gnomes placed around.
It was a breathtaking sight.
Jade came to a door with a sign on it that read:
'Faerie Land Healing Springs and potions shop'
Slowly Jade turned the gold doorknob of the deep
brown wooden door. Inside, the Water Faerie sat behind a counter. Behind her
shelves were stacked with healing potions. Labels below the potions that indicated
what potion they were. Jade closed the door behind her and walked up to the
counter.
"How may I help you?" the Water Faerie asked.
"I need quite a few healing potions," she replied.
"I'm sorry but you can only have one healing
potion every thirty minutes. The only Neopet who has any exceptions at all is
Jadestone, the Shoyru."
"But I am Jadestone!" the Shoyru said impatiently.
The Water Faerie stared at her for a moment
and then smiled, "Well then so it is! Fyora requested that I give you this and
you will be on your way." The Faerie handed Jade a small vial, about a tenth
the size of a regular healing potion.
Jade took the potion and eyed it before tucking
it away. She turned to go when she noticed a Neopian Times newspaper on the
counter. She picked it up after getting an approving nod from the Faerie. Thus
Jade read:
"New World Discovered
Just yesterday a new world was discovered.
The inhabitants are two species of Neopet, a goat-like creature called an Ixi
and a dragon-like creature called a Draik. This new world's name is 'Meridell'.
They have numerous games, such as 'Shapeshifter' and 'Cheese Roller', as well
as a medieval pet pet shop. More on this world soon."
"Ah yes the new world. It's only a three-day
flight from here. Why don't you take a look on your way to Sakhmet? It's only
a days march from Neopia," the Faerie said.
She nodded, this time she was going to go slow.
When she had flown to Faerie Land, it had taken her two days to get there, as
she had flown as fast as she could. For any other Neopet it would have taken
anywhere from four days to a week.
Jade turned to the Water Faerie, nodded her
thanks, and headed out of the building. She headed back down the twisting brown
path of the NeoGarden. The sky above was becoming an orangish-red hue, signaling
the end of the day. Deciding not to continue her journey, Jade headed back into
Faerie City and up to the palace for one final rest in Faerieland.

Meanwhile Kiata stood on a tiny island, a few kilometers from Faerie Land.
She was in a dark mood, glaring in the direction of Faerie Land.
"I'll head back to the Shadow Army... I'll get
some news on Sakhmet... then I'll go to Sakhmet and finish that Shoyru off and
get her out of the way," Kiata muttered under her breath. She began pacing and
then looked up," I'll finish you off Jadestone!"
She turned and headed into the dense forest of
the small deserted island to think things through and halt her quest for the
night.

"Zaelin, find Shokiba and tell her I wish to speak with her," said a Shoyru
upon a gold throne.
"Yes Master Orlan," replied the Faerie Aisha.
She was a rank below Kiata. As she left the wide room of the castle she hummed
to herself. She left the castle, passing by two striped Shoyrus. They saluted
to her as she passed by.
She continued down the wooden drawbridge that
covered the wide moat. She stopped to gaze into its murky depth before heading
into the town Larinzine. Around her Neopets bustled here and there. Some were
just out for a walk, while others were training for the upcoming attack on Sakhmet.
A large crowd of Neopets were cheering and shouting,
most holding their weapons. Silently Zaelin pushed through them to find a shadow
Shoyru and a robot Lupe dueling each other. The Shoyru had a spear and the Lupe
had a scythe. Shokiba was in front, arms crossed and smiling. Zaelin waked up
to her and stood at her side.
"What are you doing here Zae?" Shokiba asked.
"You know exactly why I'm here," she replied,
looking straight ahead.
"No, really, I don't," Shokiba put on an innocent
smile.
"Master Orlan desires to speak with you..."
Shokiba nodded and headed off to the castle.
There was a crash and she turned around. The Shoyru was on the ground and the
Lupe stood over him. Cheers arose, mingling with the 'Boos'. She nodded to the
Shoyru, "Train harder..." with that she walked off.
To be continued..
