Hello, I collect plushies and would like to talk about this wonderful hobby.
How do you collect plushies, and why?
Well, I am a rich Neopian, having hit my goal of 100,000, and to keep myself
from going bored I knew I needed a hobby. Plushie collecting is a joy because
not only are plushies cute, they are also reasonably priced.
Where do I start?
Well, I started by setting little goals for myself. I like having all four basic
colours for each species. I started by getting all four of each of my pets'
species. Next, I moved on to a few of my other favourites, pets I would have
if the limit wasn't four pets to an owner. You can get yours in any order you
like, but suggest that new collectors start with a few base species, get all
four of those, and then move on to a few more species. I intend one day to have
all of the plushies in the game, except for a few. I will most likely leave
out the Moehogs and a few other not so purdy pets who would only mess up my
beautiful shop.
How do I show my collection to others?
I display mine in my shop by making them cost over 100,000 NP. We all know that
shops look good when they have lots of items, so putting a collection of just
about anything adds a lot to your already beautiful shop. It is good to make
your collection look organised, though, so I suggest the following tips:
- Make each colour of the same species a specific price, such as 122,000 NP.
This way, all four will show up next to each other, because prices are grouped
together in Marketplace shops.
- Four of a kind looks great because four items show up in a row, and so each
species gets its own row if you follow the tip above. In my opinion it really
adds a lot to any plushie collection.
- Only put your plushies on display, because other displayed items may mess
up your rows by coming between more than one colour of a species.
- Explain in your shop description that part of your shop is a gallery, and
tell people about your collection.
- Don't worry about items that are on sale interfering with your collection,
because items are grouped by price. This means that since items that are on
sale will be at a much smaller price then your plushies, so they will be first.
