In the Begginning...
My Name is Tres, and this is my Life story.
As I was first created, all I remember was opening my eyes, and seeing a human girl. I was scared, but she held me, and told me I was all right and safe. I believed her; and she raised me with fashion, and always protected me from bullies. I don't remember what my original color was, because I forgot all about it after my master gave me a sketch paintbrush. I was so happy! It helped me play hide-and-go-seek better in the snow, my favorite pastime. I wish I remembered more about her, but the last thing I can recall was one day she brought me to a big, gray building. All I could think about was Roo Island. She promised me she would take me there next after we stopped at this building. When we went inside, I wanted to walk up to the pretty Uni, but my owner dragged me over to a scary-looking Techo instead. She put me up on the counter in front of him, and he inspected me. She said to him, 'is he going to be taken care of?'. The Techo replied, 'Yes. He looks like a fine boy. Scared and weak, but fine color. We will take him in for 250 NP'. My master handed him 250 NP, and looked at me one last time. She said to me, 'Have fun'. I asked when she would come back, so we could go to Roo Island, my dream home. But she said not another word, and walked away. The Techo picked me up, and put me into a GIGANTIC cage with thousands of other neopets. I was scared of the giant Skeith and the growling Graal. The other pets pushed me aside as humans walked in and looked around. They pushed me farther and farther back, so far I couldn't see the bars any more. I was scared I would never see my master ever again...
I wished master had come back for me every moment I was there. Many humans came up to me and tried to take me away, but I jumped away in time and other neopets crowded the human before they could see me again. I tried to make friends, but every neopet said that the friendship wouldn't last long. I wasn't sure what they meant at the time, but I later figured out that painted neopets were on a demand, and gone sooner then they came here. The only neopet that accepted me was a freshie- a neopet not yet created, but ready to be made. I had to get past security to get there, but I was so small and fast, I made it in. A green freshie Bruce became my new friend. He was so cool, and I looked up to him, even though I was older and stronger than him. But he had some amazing talents. He could rap anything you started saying, and he was really popular with girls (Even though I would faint if one even looked at me). He taught me to create the 'beat' for his raps by beating my feet on metal cans and drums in rhythm. I enjoyed him, and he thought I was funny when I ran away from girl neopets. But I wasn't ready when someone took him away from me. About two weeks after Bruce was my friend, a Human girl and a red kacheek came walking in to the creation center. I overheard the human talking to the caretaker that she wanted her kacheek to have more company, so she came to find her a brother or sister. The caretaker said that the kacheek could come in and choose herself. The kacheek said she wanted a cool, tough, and funny brother. I instantly though of Bruce, and ran to the back to hide him. I wasn't going to let anyone take him away from me! I got pushed back uptward them because all the freshies wanted to be adopted by them. As the kacheek was about to chose a Skeith, she heard Bruces singing in the back. She pushed through the crowd, and walked up to where Bruce was standing on a crate. She instantly threw her arms around him and said, 'Hello, new baby brother!' I was devastated, and as he walked away, I screamed for him to stay. But he couldn't see me. I was mad at him for leaving me so soon, but later realized he couldn't have done anything about it. I had finally lost my only friend...
A family at last...
I decided to go back to the adoption house, because I wished I had someone to hold. I wasn't in any hurry to be taken away, though. I stayed there for about three and a half weeks. One day that week, the human girl I saw taking away Bruce came in to the adoption house. She said she wanted to surprise her neopets with an addition to the family, since the last adoption didn't work out. I was very hopeful that she would adopt me, so maybe I could see Bruce again. So as she was walking down the halls, she saw me. I was bouncing around and rolling toward her, and she stared laughing at me. But her laugh wasn't a mock; she was delighted to see me! She knelt down to me, picked me up in her arms, and said, 'would you like a family little one?' I almost screamed, 'Yes!' at her, and she started laughing again. She paid my fees, and carried me to her house. I was excited when she was first walking there, but as we got closer, I was getting scared. What if the Kacheek makes fun of me? What if she has a scary Skeith or Graal there? What if Bruce is gone?? I quickly shook of that last question, but still had fear inside of me when we go to the door.
When we walked in, Bruce and the Kacheek were in the middle of a fight. I was glad to finally see Bruce after so long, but my fear of the other pet scared me too much for me to come out. My new master, I learned, I should call mom, said the Kacheek's name was Pink luver, and Bruce's name was Green luver. I was sad that my name couldn't match there's, but they liked my name even better than their own. Me and Green had times to catch up on, but I don't think mom or Pink know of our old friendship.One day Pink asked green how he knew me better than she did, and he only replied, 'Cuz bro's stick together no madder when or what'.
