Oh Hai.

Hello With, and welcome to my application for your wonderful lupe Neazin. I discovered Neazin on neopound at the begining of January but was transferred to a Northern camp (for work) on the 3 of January and have been out of internet for the past 20-some days. I was sure the deadline was the 29th of Febuary, but I found out jan 27th that it wasn't. Imagine my surprise! Nevertheless, I thought I'd give it my best try with the time that I have.

About That Fox

My name is Fox. I'm 19 years old and live in Canada. I have a dog, a horse, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I'm an artist, dog trainer and I work full time as an assistant cook in Northern woodcutter camps. I finish in August and then I'll finally have my life back and start art school again in September. I've been playing neopets for about 6 years, it's always been my stress-free relaxation place. I love neo and I just can't stay away. My main focus on neo are my pets, but I also collect avatars/sidebars and participate in the various plots and site events. I currently have 5 permanent pets, Suhq (labbing), Jairku, Vuhlgar, Hyoota and Vincar. I also usually have a labrat on both accounts to zap and give away. All of them save Suhq (because I can never make up my mind about him, though he is my favorite pet! XD) have petpages, lookups, designs and characters. None of the pages are finished, because when a petpage is completed inspiration seems to die with, so my petpages are always kept under constant progress and I am always finding ways to improve and work on them.

Partners in Crime

So I know your thinking; Why should I pick Fox, and why did Fox pick Neazin?

I chose to apply for Neazin for several reasons, the main being he has all one could want in a character; tons of inspirational values, great looks and a fantastic name. I, like all the lupe fans on neo, have always loved UC darigan lupes even before the conversions. I've applied for one in the past (0lla; Vincar ended up inheriting part of his design) but only made it to second place. I've seen two or three up for adoption since then but they never inspired me. Neazin on the other hand... He is a wonderful lupe filled with an immense potential to be a wonderful pet and character, I'm completely taken with him ;3.

A Furturistic Look

My plans for Neazin include full petpage, personalized lookup, adoptable set, story/design/character. Basically, everything my other pets have. I have recently started being more active in the BC and one of my goals is for each of my pets to have at least one gold trophy (so far Suhq has three golds and Jairku one) so Nea would be entered as often as my timelines will permit. He'd be staying on my main account (wolfdawge) with my UC Grey Lupe Jairku and my battlepet Suhq (who will eventually be either a Shadow draik or Spotted lupe).

Before we move on I'd like to show you a quick example of exactly what my pets have (and what Neazin will also have).

Here's a basic idea of the storyline, I haven't developed the entire story yet but I have a solid idea to where it is going.

Back to Black

De fumo in flammam.
Out of the smoke into the flame.

It had been a harsh winter and Neazin looked out beyond the ledge at the eternal snowbound landscape as he had every day for the past many years. So many in fact, that he had completely forgotten his age and any life before this. It was dull, wandering around in the glacial terrain. There was no other life here, it was too cold. Some days he wasn't even sure he was alive, it would make sense if he wasn't. It was worse than prison to be stuck here, what sins had he committed in a past life? Sometimes he remembered who had placed him here, but mostly he didn't. Being so old, his mind was a blur. He sighed and looked around again, it was unusually clear today, not a cloud in the sky. There was no sun of course, there never was, but the day was bright and it wasn't storming for the first time in months. His body was weary but he took advantage of the weather to stretch his legs. Maybe he would remember something, anything.

Long ago he had been born in a litter of three. He was neither the strongest, neither the weakest. He never met his father, and his mother was a clear headed wolf with no patience for nonsense. Naturally, with three pups to raise by herself she had no time for foolishness and waste of time. His mother knew there was something special about her litter for she had never had, nor seen one like it. There was one white pup, one grey and one black. The white pup was dominant, thoughtful and had the marks of a true leader. The grey one was dull and mild, though quite clever in her own way, a follower. And the black, he was something else. His mother never could quite figure it out and after a while stopped thinking about it, as is the nature of wolves when something is to complicated to comprehend.

Something about the others bothered the black pup, perhaps it was something he made up, perhaps it was because his mother spent more time with them, perhaps it was nothing very large at all but whatever it was, it drove him away and one day he was just gone. His mother never really thought anything about it, assuming he had been carried off by some creature or another, and his littermates never really liked him anyways so nothing more was thought about the matter. The black pup, Neazin as his mother had called him, knew this and it tore him apart. He knew they sensed something in him that wasn't right and he knew that he had been spared, for in another den he may have been abandoned at birth for being different.

It was only several months later he found out why he had been shunned. He had been on one of his blind runs and had just collapsed with exhaustion in a clearing. Out of a log came a small hedgehog. It was curious and came up to him, looking him in the eye. Though the reflection Neazin saw the color of his own eyes. Red. He had gone mad. He knew he must have been born with the madness, the reason he had been so apart from the others, but it had only recently come to light, he was almost gone. Fighting reality he got up and fled once again.

If only his mother had killed him on the spot, he would be free from all this, living in a better place. There came a time when he could bear no more and he traded his body for the spirit of a demon in a fit of rage. With this, he was free of pain and on his mind was one thing... all the little children.

It is common knowledge that man is the most evil of all species, they kill for pleasure and take delight in the sufferings of others, often purposely inflicting pain on their fellows. It was only natural that Neazin would chose them as a target. They were responsible for all the wrongs in nature. He would prey upon their young, not by killing, but by filling them with hate and the desire to destroy. It would be easy to enhance this trait as man is born with it naturally. He would become the lie on their tongue, the disobedience in their actions and the voice in their ear guiding them along. It wouldn't be long before he'd have them under his control. And when he did, nothing would be able to stop him. He would be strong enough to have his revenge on the high ones who took away the gift of life from him.

Far from Neazin's ravings two wolves circled around deep in the forest where they had been born. One was white with bright blue eyes, and the other dull grey with eyes as yellow as the sun. There was something about the pair that would make anyone look twice, the white wolf walked head and tail up, confidently leading the way with all the grace and dignity that a wolf should. And the other, slinking close behind was a dainty little female. They were unlike the usually wolves that circled the valley, there was something about them that shone. Something different. Something unknown to all but themselves.

They were earthbound spirits sent to keep balance on the earth. When the High Ones were angered with the people they sent a black spirit to haunt the earths pathways and wreak havoc all along his trail. But the high ones were not heartless, they also sent a white spirit to keep him under control and a peacekeeper to settle wars between the two. The duo had only recently learned of their mission on the earth. They had grown up and played like regular wolf pups, the message had come as a surprise. But like all spirits, they were ready to take on their task.

Northbound, the male, regretted the days he had shunned his black brother. His own quest was to overcome the evil spread by said brother, and in earlier days, he had drove him away. Now he was somewhere unknown. Perhaps if he and Frostfur had been more accepting Neazin would have overcome the madness himself. The High Ones always incorporated freedom of will and there would have been a window of escape from the madness inside him. But it was too late now, there was nothing he could do about the past. The only thing to do was push on.

Meanwhile, Neazin was thousands of miles away. He had long since conducted his army of now fully grown children and they fought in his name, destroying everything in their path. Neazin was in his prime, running ahead of his warriors and shifting to ghostly forms at will. Spreading as much fear and terror as was possible. He knew someday Northbound would catch up to him, but he would be too powerful. He would crush him and anything else that stood in his way. The world was his now.

*to be continued*

Splash of Color

Neazin will have two designs, the first shown at the top of the page, and the second and old black wolf patched with shades of grey (wolves born black usually start greying around 3-5 years old). Neither is his "main" design as I'll be working with both forms equally for both artwork and literature.

(I will be adding wings to his design but I wasn't brave enough to attempt them in Ms Paint!)

Slow Fade
-Casting Crowns

Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade

Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

A Companion

As a petpet, I've chosen a "Captive Shadow Wraith" that will be called "Socrates". The reason I chose this petpet is pretty obvious; it matches not only with his Darigan color, but also fits in perfectly with his demonic design.

I have one I got from the Faeries ruin prize shop after the plot sitting in my Saftey Deposit Box just waiting to be attached :)
