Welcome...

Welcome to the city of Verona;
A beautiful, whimsical city that lies atop a floating rock like a sleeping dragon; with flying ships lazily sailing across the sky. The weather there is always warm- with the sun shining brightly in the sky, casting a bright glow upon the whitewashed buildings. Occasionally, a few wisps of bleached-white clouds would float by, often followed by a lone rider flying upon an instrument that resembled a mechanical griffin- a zeppelin- it is an aviator trainee practicing flying formations. Verona not only has an extravagant outward appearance, but a diverse culture as well- with thousands of residents both big and small, tall and short, and with appearances that are as unique as your fingerprint. The calm city is rarely disturbed by crime or disease... indeed, it is a perfect place.

However...
A tremendous crash tears through the silence. An aviator, entangled within his light-blue parachute and riding a smoking pair of mechanical wings (gliders) falls down to the ground. He is unhurt, but a thick layer of smoke and oil clung to his torn-out jacket. He stands up, surveying the mess that lay before him with a bitter look on his face. Another aviator, one with vivid violet hair, piercing blue eyes, and mischievous eyes twinkling with laughter, lands smoothly and neatly beside him on his zeppelin. The second aviator laughs at the first one, demands money from him, and walks off, still laughing, with his prize.

Meet Vincent Rinotto- aviator, captain, and sky pirate.

Rinotto, also known as Captain Rinotto, is among the finest aviators of Verona. He is widely known throughout the land, and always the first person on the government's 'emergency contact' list. Despite the fact that he has the government's and citizens' utmost respect, Rinotto continues to be a rebellious character- ignoring rules and laws like an ignorant maverick.

Captain Rinotto can be described in a number of ways, but the mostly commonly used term is 'a carefree heroic, but reckless pirate.' He's smart, clever, witty, and his moods are often extremely contagious- however, Mr. Rinotto does have a rash temper and is easily angered.

Memoirs...

The Room of Stories;
Hidden deep in the Alexandrian Library is a colossal room called the Room of Stories. It is filled with journals, autobiographies, photographs, letters- all of which tell a story.

If you looked well enough through the aisles of leather-bound diaries and piles of word-filled scrolls, you would find a small, leather notebook- bound together by metal and kept tightly shut by a small lock in the shape of a spider. On the front, the words Rinotto are written in neat, calligraphic letters with sparkling, golden ink.

It is the journal of Captain Rinotto- it contains his deepest secrets, his worst fears, his true loves, his tragic story, and everything else about his life. But try as you might, you can't get the journal open.

The little spider-lock is doing a good job of hiding away the captain's secrets.

Depart...

The Boating Docks;
There are many ways to leave Verona- you could ride a transportation dragon or griffin to other floating cities or to the Underworld, the lands underneath the clouds; skyjumping is another (less popular) option that involves jumping freestyle off of the floating rock that Verona sits upon; or you could leave Verona via a sky ship- the most efficient and commonly used method of transportation.

The Boating Docks are home to some of the most impressive ships of Verona. Weighing twenty tons and reaching nearly half a mile wide, these ships are used specifically for transporting travelers. These crafts may not be very fast, but they serve their purpose exceptionally well.

Before you leave, will you take a souvenir with you?
