Gergon

A baby grarrl sits in his playroom off in a corner, singing contentedly to himself, or is he singing to his plushie noil? Paying little attention, you look around his "play room" which instead of being filled with baby toys and bottles, you see things that sparkle of every value. Bits of barbed wire, glitter, glass, and even...is that a Rainbow Swirly Thing around his neck? How did just a baby manage to get that? The baby stops his singing as you stand there and looks at you.

Story

You admit that you only stumbled upon his playroom by accident, but that doesn't seem to disturb him. Apparently, he's used to it.

I'll bet you don't know my story, he boasts.

He's got you again. You don't know his story. Like any child, he eagerly tells you.

I wasn't always a baby grarrl. I used to be a big fat ugly blue skeith. Kelpie found me in the pound. No one wanted a pet as ugly as me, so she took me in.

I stayed with Kelpie for a while, but eventually, she had to let me go back to the pound again. She said she couldn't afford to feed me anymore. So, away I went. Later that day she checked on me, and I seemed to be happy in my new home, so she left me. A little while later though, she checked on me again, and I was back in the pound, crying. She adopted me again, and said she'd do anything to make me happy. We'd make it work somehow. I asked her if I could have something sparkly, since I loved shiny stuff. She gave me a piece of barbed wire that was shining in the sun. It was all she could afford, but it meant so much to me. She worked so hard to make me a baby grarrl (and her friends too!) that I told myself I'd collect every pretty sparkly thing for her. She doesn't know it though. She thinks all these things are for me. One day, I'll give it all to her though...just so she knows how much I love her.

He puts his little claws to the Rainbow Swirly Thing around his neck and smiles. You smile along with him in silence. Such a sweet little thing...
