Thank you for the interview, Mr. Zambra. We're sure your fans will be very excited to learn more about you and your band.

The pleasure is all mine.

To begin, could you please tell us how you started out?

I grew up a poor youth on the streets of Sakhmet. To earn Neopoints for food, I used to play for the crowds and tourists. However, I was only just scraping by. Eventually, I enhanced my trade by adding a Cobrall to my performance, which drew much larger crowds.

Was it dangerous suddenly working with a Cobrall?

Oh yes, some well-meaning audience members occasionally tossed Neopoints into the Cobrall's basket, which the Petpet was none too happy about, I can assure you. And I won't even get into how difficult it was to retrieve the coins from the basket without being bitten.

Oh dear. So tell us, how did you meet your bandmates?

Previously, we worked independently throughout the city, but after a while it occurred to me that we could do much better if we worked together. I recruited them one by one and eventually found myself the leader of a band! We were doing much better than before, but were still not making much more than we had been separately.

Is that when your dancer came into the picture?

Indeed, it is. We found her performing near the palace. While she danced beautifully, without music to accentuate her show, there was not much interest. We approached her and asked her if she would join us, which she happily did. From then on we all brought in much more than we could have ever done alone.

How long did it take you to "hit it big"?

Oh, years and years, to be sure. With our band complete, we climbed our way up in local popularity. It was a slow process, but we stuck with it, and eventually we were contacted by the Tyrannian Concert Hall. That was a huge break for us. Almost overnight we went from being a local band to being known all throughout Neopia. It was amazing.

Has success brought any changes to the band?

Aside from now being well-fed? (Jub Zambra laughs.) We've remained good friends and enjoy our music without dwelling on the negative side of our popularity. Fans often ask if the other band members resent my name being in the band's name and not theirs, but I tell them it wasn't even my idea! The others insisted the band should have that name and still refuse to let me drop it. Even though I see us all as equals, they never let me forget that I was the one who brought us all together.

It seems you are lucky to have such wonderful friends as your bandmates.

Indeed, I am.

Thank you for your time, Mr. Zambra.
