The world of a Nimmo
Is not very big;
Not very small, either,
Just green and round.
It's where the greatest Nimmo thoughts abound.
The shimmer of flies
And stars and water;
The blur of wingbeats,
Droplets of sound.
With silvery thoughts is a Nimmo's head crowned.
A shifting in the air,
A flip, a flicker;
Just one swift movement
And a meal is downed.
Such light Nimmo pleasure is every day found.
The life of a Nimmo
Is as simple as that;
The smallest, briefest fly
Has the power to astound.
It's all embedded in that soft lily ground.
Count of the Night
There is a tale that once was told,
But only to those who knew,
Of the hidden figure on the island
Of the bouncing Blumaroos.
Deep in slumber within the walls
Of a castle shrouded in fog,
Lay in wait a dark and evil force,
Undefeated by Judge Hog.
Crimson eyes view Neopia,
In a perspective that makes most cringe,
Stirring from chambered sleep,
The coffin squeaks from a rusty hinge.
A shadow emerges from the case,
Velvet wings spread out wide,
Dark clouds begin to form,
As he heads out for a midnight ride.
Flying over all the lands,
A young Kougra from below,
Spots a creature in the sky,
With red eyes set aglow.
Perching upon an old tree branch,
The Neopet does bide his time,
Until he can fly again,
To commit the perfect crime.
Turning to one side,
His eyes fall upon the tree,
As it speaks, "It's time you've come,"
The pet replies, "What do you want with me?"
"It must be obvious, my winged friend,
The Brain Tree can see what is true,
You're infamous throughout Neopia,
As the grand Count von Roo."
"Ahhh, my reputation humbles me,
All I want is to rest."
Brain Tree speaks, "Your lies are stretched,
Or do you simply jest?"
A sly grin creeps onto his face,
Von Roo then takes to flight,
"My will never decides to rest,
Now you see my plight."
One more trip above Neopia,
Then back to home he goes,
Another night Neopets are spared,
Until the Count's hunger grows.
As he settles down to slumber,
And the coffin lid begins to close,
Count von Roo sings his rhyme
Of sleep-inducing prose.
"My dear sweet Neopets,
I love the way you flee,
When I appear in the sky,
And your eyes catch sight of me."
Down For Maintenance?
You see him soaring through the air,
His cold, dark look gives you quite a scare.
You really know deep down inside,
That his eyes are going to mesmerise.
His tail feathers give you quite a chill,
We all know he's out to kill.
His blood-red eyes ward all away,
And he sits at home and awaits the day...
NEOPETS IS DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE!!!
He's the Down For Maintenance Pteri.
He's the Down For Maintenance Pteri.
Look into his eyes.
He'll never compromise.
Dr. Sloth's his slave.
And Vira is his maid.
Von Roo bows to him.
Kass makes him grin.
He makes Pant Devil cry,
His altitude is high.
Makes Shadow Usul seem bright,
Jhudora seem light.
He's the Down For Maintenance Pteri!
How to Win at Gormball!
Shimmering, the ball flies up,
So rapid does it spin.
Gormball day is here at last,
And here's how you can win!
Keep your eye firm on the ball,
And never glance away.
Soaked and out is what you'll be,
If your glance should stray.
Fleet of foot, you'll wish you were,
Your paws must move with speed.
Reflexes as quick as light
Are what you'll really need.
Know the game, and those who play,
You'll learn to read each foe.
Weak points and the stronger ones,
Are secrets all must know.
Timing of the essence here,
The clock does wait for none.
Hold the ball for just too long,
And Bam! Your game is done.
Hear the whistle of the crowd,
They're cheering, one and all.
Do your best and play to win,
(Or cheat, and hide the ball.)
Carnival of Terror
Welcome to the carnival,
Where fun just never ends.
Would you like to have a tour?
We'll show you... bring your friends.
First stop: the Cork Gun Gallery,
I'm sure you'd like a prize.
Knock down a box and you'll receive
Two tasty glaring eyes.
Next up: we have Coconut Shy,
Go ahead, have a toss.
Don't get mad if your prize won't fall,
Or should I call the boss?
Oh look there: Sidney's Scratchcard stand,
I'm sure you'd like to try.
Scratch off six squares... oops! You just lost.
Pay up, and don't dare cry.
Moving on: here's Test Your Strength.
Do you have what it takes?
Oh, well, you tried and did your best.
But ha! Your hands still shake!
What's that you say, you want to leave?
You want this fun to end?
Farewell then, puny Neopet.
Next time, come back with friends.
